1 Prologue

On modern roads where cars, buses, and taxies were everywhere, there was a young boy, around the age of 16, walking to school.

He wore a blue blazer, with a white blouse inside, coupled with light brown pants, a small tie on his shirt as his uniform, and a small brown bag he had on his side. He had black hair, black eyes, a decent build, though his face was average. He also had a cup of coffee in his hand and drank as he was walking.

His name was...David Valor, a sophomore in a private academy.

He was on his way to school, the intersection he was waiting at all had red lights, lighting up his pedestrian light, signaling that he could walk through the road.

Looking both sides of the road, he saw that no vehicles were speeding and had all stopped, prompting him to walk to school.

By the time he went to school, he finished his cup of coffee, throwing it into the trash cans of the cafeteria.

As this was another day, he attended his boring classes of history, english, math, biology, and lunch before language class.

After he finished taking his language class, he walked home as usual. Walking for around 20 minutes, he finally returned home.

His home was actually quite small, but it was enough and cozy enough for one person living here. There were a small kitchen, dining room, and living, made into one large room, with a hallway leading to his room, which also had a private bedroom. As it was a decent house given to him by the government, there was also an unused bedroom on the other side of the hallway. The house was actually in a clean condition as David thoroughly cleans his house often, also getting a workout from it.

He took off his uniform, wearing a white shirt and blue pants, he goes to the kitchen to see what he has left.

Opening the fridge, there wasn't much stuff left, so using the remaining ingredients he had, which was mostly just some bags of peas, corns, carrots, and some leftover beef. Using his pot and filling it with water, he carefully dumps his ingredients in, and stirs it, slowly making his beef stew.

After everything was prepared, he spent his time doing his homework. After a few hours, he finished his homework, he sighed, looking out the window to see the stars shining down upon him.

"...Sigh...this life seems a bit too boring. I don't even know who my parents even were damnnit!" he banged his desk with his fist.

"Time to eat dinner, I suppose..." David got up and went to the kitchen.

David opened the pot to see that his stew was ready. Filling his bowl, he slowly drinks up the soup, somewhat enjoying the silence and peace that comes with it.

Taking around 35 minutes to finish the entire pot, he walked around the house, doing his daily cleaning as it made him feel clean and disciplined about himself.

"...Hgnn...guess it's time to go buy some things in the market..." David had worn a black jacket and walked to the nearest market, which was only about 5 minutes away.

He had bought a few pounds of beef, and chicken, as well as some fruits, carrots, corn, and other vegetables. Taking around an hour total, including the paying part, he finally left the store and began walking back home.

As he was walking home, he saw out of the corner of his eye, a truck.

The person inside was panicked, like he lost control, speeding over the red light, driving straight towards David.

As David had already seen the truck lose control a few seconds before he, had successfully ran to the other side of the road, and landed on the sidewalk, dodging his death.

"What the hell what that for!?" he yelled, though he couldn't lift his arms as he was holding grocery bags.

Before the truck driver could even respond, David heard a long beep. Hearing the beep, he turned back and instinctively tried jumping away and let go of his bags as it was slowing him down.

Before he knew it, all he saw was the front of another truck, who oh so conveniently, also lost control and swerved to the sidewalk.

Due to the position, David was in, by the time the truck hit him, it had continued to drive forward, crushing his body onto a nearby building.

Due to the enormous force, David's entire lower body had separated him, making him bleed like crazy. The worse part was, he was sent flying onto the wall, which was already partially broken, fell on him, making him yell in pain.

'Why the hell did two trucks lose control over the wheel at almost the same time!?' he screamed inside, as his body was slowly making him lose consciousness.

The truck driver who lost control didn't have their seatbelt on so they also had a head injury on the glass.

'...If this isn't a ploy by a God...I don't know what is...' David cursed, closing his eyes as he could no longer see, hear, or feel the things that are happening around him.

What he didn't see was that another person was beside him, also hit by the truck.
