A fiend Suicidal???

"Our deepest apologies... Noir-sama" the Green haired dryad I remembered as Treyni bowed.

I am acquainted with them. After all, I am a "friend" of Veldora, the dragon that allows them to reside within his garden.

"How's Veldora doing?" I firstly asked about that.

"Even if the barrier holds Veldora-sama down, his leaking magicules leaked outside could shake the whole cave along with the land to a certain extent... But having Veldora-sama in a joyful state, His aura has been quite calm this past day." (Treyni)

Well, I did manage to make a hole between the infinite prison... And sent him some toasted bread every day...

It just gets into my nerve whenever I saw him sucking it in entirely with that huge body. The bread I worked so hard for... He should at least savor every last bite of it first damn it.

Well, doesn't matter... We will now go to the second phase of my plan.

"I know you're concerned about them." (Dazai)

"Yes, it seems like they are Noir-sama's companions." (Treyni)

I tried to let them know that the humans I brought are my companions, and...

"Please rest assured, I will let them meet none other than myself." The Dryad ended.

Well, I gotta go see Veldora.

— Third Person's POV —

With Masayuki's party, "Dryads-saaaaan!!! —GAH!!!??"

Masayuki was shouting when it turned into screaming instead.

In front of him suddenly manifested a beautiful woman by leaves.

"T-they really came!!!" (Yoshida)

The chef muttered in surprise.

"Adventurers... By the command of Noir-sama, I, Treyni,  have come to heed thy calls... Enlighten me, human, what is thy goal?" The dryad asked.

With Dazai, "Oh! You've come, my friend!" Veldora excitedly shouted.

"Sorry I'm late... there are some 'things' along the way...." (Dazai)

"Apologies accepted! Ku ha ha ha ha ha!!" (Veldora)

This has been my daily routine. Stalk Shizu-san, out for a hunting quest, and treat Veldora to some sweets I bought from Ingracia.

"*Sigh*If I could have used my skills, I would have worked hard to maintain my human form to enjoy this delicious confection... *Nom*" (Veldora)

He stated that right after swallowing a boulder of cakes had been saving for months right into his reptilian mouth.

I could feel a vein pop on top of my head, 'So that's why you always refuse to eat the sweets I bought, saying that he is saving them for later I thought as I glanced at the mouthful reptile.

'Rather, this cave got rather chilly... hm?' (Dazai's Thought)

Ah, So he uses that hole I made and manipulated magicules of the air through them...

Crafty as always.

"By the way... The Dryads came to me before this..." Veldora suddenly said.

"Ah, they are dealing with the 'problem' right now..." I responded.

I meant to say that Treyni will answer whatever questions that Chloe would ask.

I should keep the parameters in check, if somehow lady Velgrynd or Lady Velzard came here to check on Veldora, they'd tell on Rudra and Guy— and I sure don't hope to be dragged in their game of chess AGAIN.

'Noir-sama, I have finished my work.' Suddenly came a thought transmission from Treyni.

'Good work, are they still there? What are they currently doing?' (Dazai thought transmission)

'It seems like they are waiting for you, Noir-sama.' (Treyni's thought transmission)

Figured.

'Well you can leave them be, I'll tell them to leave later.' (Dazai's thought transmission)

'As you command, Noir-sama' (Treyni's thought transmission)

I... Felt a bit displeased, actually...

'Treyni' I suddenly call her.

'Yes?'

'Try calling me Dazai instead.'

...

'Dazai-sama?'

Well, I guess that's better.

'Un. I'm cutting the line' I said as I cut off the thought transmission.

"I gotta go now, Veldora." (Dazai)

"Hm? Really? It's fine if you stay a bit longer you know?" (Veldora)

If I stay I'd die from Magicule Poisoning you dumb dragon. And stop fidgeting like you're a shy school girl.

"I'll go out to get some fresh air, and tell my 'companions' to go home."

"Hmm... Well fine." (Veldora)

Well, guess I'll go now.

— Third Person's POV —

"I see... Human

girl, a solution to your problem is quite simple and hard at the same time..." (Treyni)

Treyni started off with a muttering.

"Spirits, maybe the suitable solution to your problem." (Treyni)

She then explains what they could do with spirits. High-ranking spirits are generally picky.

They only choose an individual based on their own preferences. Therefore summoning one would take a lot of effort. In addition, having a superior spirit inhabit the body of those similar to Chloe's is a solution to control the raging magicules inside them.

Treyni explained that they could summon spirits in the Dwelling of Spirits, but with the Queen of Spirits the dryads served dead, they have lost their link to it and can no longer find the entrance.

As such, the dryads can't help them out any further.

"W-we're grateful for your answers, Treyni-dono." (Yoshida)

"Un, the Great Jura Forest has always been treated as a neutral zone by the Demon lords, in order to make sure the seal that trapped Veldora-sama does not weaken. Please leave immediately since you've completed your goal." (Treyni)

"We will..." (Masayuki)

A minute later...

"Dazai!!!! You're laaaaate!!!" Masayuki exclaimed these to the slowly approaching man in full of bandages under his all-black outfit.

The party was not aware of Dazai's schemes, and Masayuki explained the whole thing that Treyni told them.

Well, Dazai could only smile wryly at that.

They asked if Dazai has finished his business and if the whole gang could go back, while Dazai nodded at them gesturing to lead the way.

Dazai Osamu's POV—

Tch... I've been careless.

Never before I have experienced such coincidence.

"You... I know I have met you before..." (Shizu)

We're currently at the outer gate of Ingracia, and the woman with the white mask mutters those words while standing to a certain chairman of a freedom's guild.

"Oya? My apologies, I don't seem to quite remember a beautiful lady such as you are." Smile Dazai, smile.

"Those remarks make it even more suspicious when you haven't seen Shizu-sensei's face..." Shorty(Chloe) mutters this with a low voice.

But suddenly, *SHING* Shizu-san's Katana left its sheath, and the tip of the blade threatens my throat.

"I remember now... You said— you said you would refrain from targeting me... What are you after, Kuro?"

I could hear a "Shisou—!" From the chairman of the freedom academy, Yuuki Kagurazaka. While a "Shizu-san!?" From Masayuki.

I didn't flinch. I stared at her with wide eyes noting the fact that I just exposed myself by aligning myself with Masayuki's current party.

'Oh well' was the only thing I could think of as I change my wide eyes expression to a disappointed face.

"What's the commotion???"

"That's the champion Shizue Izawa isn't she!?"

"Hey, she's pointing her sword to that guy!"

"Did you know him??"

The guards who are in charge of their duty also came due to the commotion.

"Masayuki-sama!!!" A group of otherworlders seems to have called on Masayuki. They address Masayuki with respect as if they were a group let by him.

"Yoshida-san, Chloe-chan! Move away from this man... " Shizu told the others

Nonetheless to say, many people panicked at the sight of a champion threatening a potential fiend, but well... I guess I can't hide it any longer, but...

"Oh my~~! how scary!~ You got me~~~ I'll do anything so please don't hurt mee~~ Oh I know!" (Dazai)

At first, it came out as a playful teasing tone with both hands lifted up as if surrendering but then, it slip right off my tongue...

"How about I save the children from their fate for you? Not a bad deal don't you think, Shizu-sensei?" (Dazai)

I am sure my voice doesn't have any killing intent, but I can see her flinch behind that mask just from seeing my dark yet glowing gold and red eyes.
