So this is what people feel when they fight me. Edgeshots quirk, as he said his quirk allowed him to make his body incredibly thin and avoid attacks. Add this quirk with a hero with years of experience and sharp senses and you have someone who is incredibly mobile and hard to hit.

While my teleportation and eyesight meant he couldn't hit me too it brought about situations where the first person who landed a hit won.

"Your quirk, what are its limits. Can you teleport anything without touching it or do you have to touch it?"

"Well, for normal instances my hand has to be in direct contact with it, but if I take my blindfold off anything that I can see can be teleported," Yasuhiro explained.

"Without the need for touching it?"

"Well the things I can "see" cannot be touched." He replied. "Molecules in the air can be teleported and create a variety of effects but that's almost a death sentence because it could rebound on me."

"Interesting. We should work on that later. Now it's time for our daily patrol. I have a few more questions I want to ask you."

"Okay sir," Yasuhiro said as he got up of the floor.

---------------------

"What are your views on quirks?" Was the question that came out of nowhere. Edgeshot and Yasuhiro had been making small talk with Yasuhiro asking most of the questions.

"That question is too broad."

"What do you think of them. I'm interested in your personal opinion."

"I don't hate them nor like them."

Yasuhiro held back on what he actually thought. He knew his views were radical in a sense so he knew that people would be distasteful of his opinion.

"Why so?"

"I don't think I could imagine a society where quirks didn't exist. They've become a part of day-day life. If they just disappeared overnight then society would fail to function anymore. However, just like everything in the world, there are two sides to it. Perhaps the world would be more peaceful if deranged people didn't have the ability to kill, but that's the smaller side of the problem."

"Smaller? That's an interesting way to view it. Perhaps our views are different. I believe that people rely too much on quirks. Simple things such as going to the store can be done with a quirk. Humans have gotten lazy and laziness is the number 1 internal destroyer."

Interesting. The two were complete opposites.

"I'll have to disagree. Simpler things lead to simpler state of minds and a simpler state of mind leads to simpler times. There's no need to stress over anything when It's much simpler to do." Yasuhiro argued.

"Simpler times lead to weaker people. When times are simple people become lax. People are known to be at their weakest when they have a feeling of security." Edgeshot shot back.

"A false sense of security is enough to give someone eternal peace. I believe that the small moments give you the longest sentimental value. Humans are creatures who can forget about all the horrible things in the world if they are happy with themselves."

"You're an interesting student Toshiaki. I don't think I was as wise as you during my schooling days. Let's stop here. I think we've earned a break. We'll discuss philosophy and human nature later."

Without even noticing it, they'd been walking for half an hour.

"A break would be nice."

---------------

"This place really is massive. Who would've thought you'd have a hot-spring in here."

"It's a nice spot to relax your muscles. Sometimes a nice soothing time in here is enough to get you back to work and training."

"I think I'd drown if I stayed in here for too long. I'd drift into a blissful sleep." Yasuhiro muttered.

"So, for the investigation on the hero-killer. What steps do you think we should take? I'm interested in what you have to say."

"He'll be out and about soon enough. This is the prime-time for a villain to come out and play. Because the city is on alert villains are scared to come out. But an intelligent villain who can take his time and plan it out could maybe get away with it. The hero-killer seems to be determined to. He'll be where he normally kills - an alleyway and that's where he'll be caught. Predictability is a human's greatest flaw."

"It's good to see we have a similar train of thought. If you noticed during the patrol we walked around the main alleys that I believe an attack could take place. I have people blended in watching so they can alert me at a moments notice. The likelihood of him attacking another hero and getting away with it is slim." Edgeshot revealed.

Little did the two of them know that they'd meet the hero killer, but under completely different circumstances. A meeting and a confrontation. Both going in with different ideals and mindsets. A hero and a confused teen.

-----------------

"The ends justify the means. It's as simple as that. Sacrifice can complete the life of a man."

Yasuhiro moved a pawn forward as the game began.

"Yes but sacrifice done in vain is a waste of lives," Edgeshot said, moving his own piece.

"To be ready to die means you've come to terms with your mortality. To even think about coming a hero or a soldier you have to realise that your life isn't safe anymore. It's called simple logic."

Yasuhiro moved his horse this time, moving it in an L shape next to the pawn he moved forward.

"But should that be the case in the first place? To have people come to terms with the fact that their lives is something that can be ended at any time is a thing that shouldn't exist in the first place. People should feel safe in their country, but it's unlikely. Human nature dictates that evil is manifested in people who feel wronged and bitter by society. As long as humans exist peace cannot be attainable."

Yasuhiro listened to his words carefully before saying anything.

"I feel the exact same way."

Chapter. Hope you enjoy.
