"Roy," she managed to say after a full minute of silence. 

Rebecca felt like throwing up all the food that she just swallowed down. One thing she couldn't understand was Roy's way of thinking.

If he already knew that she was cheating on him, why would he call her out to a fancy restaurant and treat her to a fancy meal which she had mistaken for a date only to throw the secret out in the open?

This was the worst way to humiliate a loved one. How was she supposed to digest the food she had already eaten?

She hadn't even managed to finish enjoying her glass of sweet red wine when he decided to drop the bomb.

Was his agenda to make her uncomfortable in the middle of their dining together?

"Don't deny it. I already have proof of your cheating." Roy stopped her from attempting to deny the facts. "Becca, you not only physically cheated, but emotionally. So, tell me, why would you do something like that?"
