Benefits of Marrying Roy Kim

"We are going to live together. As soon as we get the marriage certificates, you will be taken to my private residence. There are people to take you around. You can move…"

"Wait a minute." Anna put up her hands. "Can you tell me more about yourself and your family?"

Roy frowned at being interrupted halfway through his statement. He didn't like it, but he decided to let it go since Anna didn't know the rules.

"What more do you want to know about me?" He asked as he leaned towards the seat. He could already guess that she must have searched him on the Internet.

Truly, Anna completed her research on Roy Kim on her way. She couldn't believe who he actually was. To think that he was the son of one of their country's ministers, was truly shocking.

"I want to know the important information you think I would be needing as long as this lasts."

Roy considered her for a moment before taking his gaze off her. "I'm sure you already know my name and my age, so I will continue from there. I am the President of KDX, a global tech company…"

Roy went on to tell her how the company came to be in his hands. His father, who was the current minister of works for the Federal Republic of Danastan, handed the company over to him before running for office since all government officials were not allowed to hold or be in possession of any private businesses of theirs.

'Smart moves.' That was all Anna said to herself.

"You don't need to know much about my family. You won't be seeing a lot of them, but if you are that curious, let the Internet be your assistant."

Anna was left speechless. This was her first time meeting a man who reasons and talks like this.

"Depending on how you play your cards, I can be very lenient towards you, but in whatever you do, do not fall for me."

One. Two. Three. Three seconds of silence went by before Anna was finally able to get out of her shock.

"What?" She thought she hadn't heard well.

"Do not climb my bed," Roy rephrased.

Anna's gaze darkened. "Why would I want to climb your bed?" She found his warning ridiculous. What on earth was going on in that big head of his?

Roy went on to ignore her. He brought his left wrist to his eye level to glance at his wristwatch after which his hand returned to the side.

Pissed at his crazy thoughts which she found awful, Anna asked, "When did you say your girlfriend was coming back?"

"I have no idea," Roy answered. The woman hadn't even returned any of his calls or replied to any of his texts.

"But even if she returns in a few days or weeks, this marriage will go on for at least three months and in that time frame, you are free to use my name and my resources to your advantage."

Roy did not want a divorce immediately even though the marriage with her was fake. He did not think it was suitable for his reputation even if he shouldn't care much.

There, Anna swore that she was going to reap all the benefits of marrying the wealthy aloof man. She was not about to pity Roy after he had just upset her.

Why did he think that she would ever climb his bed? What did he take her for?

Did he think she was like all those loose women that fawned over him?

After tranquillity had reigned for a while where the two adults kept to themselves, Roy threw a random question which Anna never expected.

"What are your plans for your career?"

In Anna's mind, she wondered why he was suddenly interested in her business. It was not a surprise that he knew a few things about her past. After all, it had been glorious. But she was curious to know what he wanted to do with that information.

"Why do you ask?"

Roy tilted his head to the side while raising a questioning brow. It seemed like he was silently asking if she was really questioning him.

Anna was the first to give up on the staring contest. "I am going to going to contact my manager soon. I want to back to playing lawn tennis."

"It would have been a shame to give up on that career since you are still young," Roy said to her, his tone, gentle. This was his way of encouraging and applauding her for her decision.

"I know right?" The corners of Anna's lips lifted in a small smile. She was happy to get one more support for her decision. It made her feel like she was on the right track.

Roy took a few seconds to take in their environment before asking, "From what I found out you have a boyfriend that you have been in a relationship with… Did you break up with him?"

If only Zane or Mr. Charles were to be in the same car, they would have both had the same thought. Roy was unusually talkative. It was a trait distant from him.

Roy on the other hand, had no idea that he was long lost. He wanted to know the real reason Anna agreed to marry him.

He didn't want to simply believe that it was because he was persistent with his persuasion that she willingly accepted his proposal.

If that was the case, then he was going to give himself another gold star for his effortless skills since Anna was not like the women who always tried to throw themselves at him.

Being reminded of the cruel betrayal she faced at the peak of her excitement, Anna's mood turned sour.

"I haven't, but it's as good as we are not together anymore."

Roy's brows creased slightly. It was obvious that he was displeased. "I want you to have a clean break," he instructed.

Regardless of the dispute between Anna and her boyfriend, Roy was not happy about the current situation. How could he be getting married to someone else's girlfriend?

No matter how desperate he was to be married, that did not mean he would do something so appalling.

Anna had a different thought going through her mind as she met his irked gaze.

Someone who was already cheating on her with her best friend, was a ceremony needed for them to end things?
