(Brian's P.O.V)

I leapt across the buildings, something that at this point had become a habit. There was more activity at the city center than usual but I wasn't headed there, Spiderman was efficient enough to deal with Osborn. Infact the Green Goblin was lucky that Peter usually held back to not hurt people. Peter could fold him in half like a lawn chair if he ever snapped.

Anyway I didn't pay mind to him anymore. I swiftly arrived at Osborn's private resident, a pent house that always made me whistle everytime we visited Harry. It wasn't hard to break in. What was hard was knocking out Bernard. Say what you will but the old butler was a good man and I felt immensely sorry for taking him to dream land. I gently laid him on the couch and then proceeded to Osborn's study.

There was a full length mirror on one of the walls. How many times had I wanted to just shatter the mirror and access the sweet sweet things inside? Today was the day. I moved to break the mirror and stopped. I didn't know how Osborn was going to react to finding out his Goblin lair had been raided. At the volatile state he was in…he might just snap and hurt Harry or Bernard or even worse take it out on innocents.

"I'm just going to have to stop him before he gets the chance to do anything."

A scarlet lightning ball blasted from my palm and showered the room with small pieces of glass upon contact with the mirror. I then stepped inside the lair and walked forward. At the entrance was a spare Goblin mask just like in canon. The difference was it was sleeker in design than the bulky version. Something to take note of but not that important in the long run.

At the opposite side was a line of pumpkin bombs, near the entrance, a spare Goblin glider and the bare bones of the one Harry would make were propped up on the wall. Mmh…this solves the problem of flying doesn't it? and at the farther end of the room, a section opened up as the light came on and inside…was the very thing I'd come for but it was blue? Ok what's going on? There were 2 vials which I was sure contained the Goblin serum but the serum itself was blue. A huge difference from it's green color in the movies.

I held both vials in my palm, confusion evident in my gaze. What was different this time? I had followed their progress closely. Up and until the project had been scrapped by Osborn. This time he didn't administer the serum in the Osborn labs but I'd still known it had been successful through the death of multiple Quest aerospace employees when the Goblin disrupted an experiment. I hadn't expected that but it was enough to show me that the Green Goblin was finally around. So what happened? Why was the vial blue?

Could it be because of me? My eyes widened. I'd left some of my blood for Osborn to experiment with, trying to see if he could stabilize the serum that way. My blood was special, being a cultivator gave one a highly adaptable body. Even before the spider bite I could do things that one could say were distinctly superhuman. Which meant that Osborn might have succeeded in either eliminating the side effects from the serum, which was unlikely or increased it's potency making him even stronger. And Peter was fighting him. Shit.

I ran out of the room towards the window and smashed through it. Landing on the next building, I left cracks behind  my first step heading towards where the fair was. I fully unleashed my physical strength, adding more momentum and height to my leaps on every step. I needed to get there fast, Pete might have been in serious danger.

(Spiderman's P.O.V)

Things had been going great. I'd taken pictures while perched on a gargoyle overlooking the festivities down under and then a green figure riding upon a god to honest flying hoverboard bombed a room full of people. My eyes widened and I jumped while shooting a web towards the building. I was suddenly thankful I was in my costume.

I shot a few more webs from my left hand. The strands of web connected into a make-shift umbrella, shielding the people below from debris. People started panicking and running around. The green figure who was dressed in a very menacing costumed turned his attention to a girl hanging from the building.

"MJ!"

My voice gained a sense of urgency and I started shooting balls of web, successfully distracting the villain. He was too late to duck a kick from yours truly sending him spiralling out of his hoverboard. I shot a web to catch him before he splattered on the ground and then swooped in before MJ could lose her grip.

I swiftly made my way down and looked her over.

"You're fine. Thank God you're alright."

I then turned my attention to the rest of the panicking people.

"Everyone get out of here. Now!"

My spider sense started going crazy. I shot a web at the wreck of a taxi, pulled it then heaved it on the direction of a few orange balls. The explosion that went off while it wasn't big and only released a blue vapor, sent pieces of the car flying and I admonished myself.

Brian had continuously told me to keep damage to a minimum and to always take the fight somewhere devoid of people when fighting superhumans to avoid civilian casualties. The Green Goblin, a name I came up with for the menacing figure was back on his hoverboard.

" Any last words bug?"

" Yeah look up."

I told him before pulling a web I had discreetly shot at the webbing keeping the majority of the stone remains in hold. Luckily, The Green Goblin was right under the whole thing. At my action, stones rained down at his figure.

I jumped and slammed my foot on the glider. My leg carved through the metal like a piece of paper only stinging my calf a bit. I was reminded I wasn't normal anymore. The dust cleared and I saw the kneeling form of my opponent. I wrapped him in a few webs restricting his movements then stood before him. I'd just taken down my first Supervillain. I would have to call Brian though, I doubt that the cops would be able to safely contain him.

"You're coming with me, Greenie."

"I don't think so."

Huh? He snapped the webs off his body and before I registered it his hand was holding me by the neck. My spider sense screamed at me as a punch sent me flying to impact on the wall of a building. My eyesight lost focus and I felt a huge pain on my ribs.

I was dragged off the wall and slammed face first on to the ground. I blacked out for a while feeling blood seep through the mask. How strong was he? Could he have been faking it?

"You're probably wondering what's going on right about now."

He started, his intimidating mask close to my face.

"I've analysed your fights. The super strength, webs, wall crawling...you seem to be following a certain spider motif. I knew that I couldn't expect you to not stand in my way sooner or later so I concocted an aerosol to weaken you with continued exposure. The bombs I threw at you contained that gas and now you've lost."

Fuck! It wasn't that he was getting stronger or feigning weakness, I was the one losing strength. This is bad. I need to get out of here. I sprang up hitting my head to his chin, throwing him off. I quickly shot a web to his face to blind him and threw a punch. He caught it in his grasp and squeezed my fist. Pain lanced through my hand and I groaned as I sank to my knees. I could do nothing as he hooked my hand and broke it.

The scream of pain escaping my mouth was silenced as he came behind me and covered it.

"And you know what the best part of all this is? I know it's you under that mask Peter. Don't worry you won't be alone for long, I'll soon send the rest of your family to join you. That is the price for standing in my way boy."

Terror gripped my heart for a second before I  remembered that my brother would keep our family safe. That was the last thought I had. Along with the brief pain of my snapping neck.

(Brian's P.O.V)

My whole body was shaking as I looked at the body Infront of me. My legs shook and I knelt down before it. Cameras were trained on me and the whole world was watching. I was also surrounded by a crowd of people. People Peter had tried his hardest to save. Fuck all of them. It was all my fault. As if to agree with me, rain started falling from the sky drenching me.

'With great power comes great responsibility my ass' I thought as I brought my palm to my face and wiped the very noticeable tears off my face despite the rain.

"Fuuuuuuuuck!!!!! I'll kill you Osborn! You hear me? Not even God will save you from me."

I screamed and moved to carry Peter's body off the wrecked building and street. His head hang limply, his neck snapped, the force had severed his spinal cord and I didnt…'I don't know what to do.'

My mind had shut down and my body moved on autopilot.

" spiderman, spiderman, spiderman."

I looked around at the crowd. A chant had started and everyone joined in. The fuck did they think they were doing? Honoring him? Thanking him? None of that was enough! They couldn't bring him back.

But unlike them, I wasn't going to let him leave us. There was still a faint heartbeat which meant there was still a chance. I looked at the 2 vials of blue serum I had unknowingly traded Peter's life with and my will grew firm. I'm a fucking Cultivator, death means nothing to me. I got out my phone and dialled a number.

" Hey, I need a jet to Hong Kong right now. Organize and tell me when it's ready."

I spoke to one of my contacts and ended the call. I held Peter's body gently and leaped away from the scene. It was time to go for the medallion.

Bring out the pitchforks and persecute me. I'm ready for the hate comments.
