Changing the subject, Conall asked, “Have you talked with Rory?”

“Not yet. I had planned on doing it this morning, and then you showed up.”

“Don’t let me stop you,” Conall replied scathingly. “I’m certain I can find something to entertain myself.”

Deke looked at him in dismay. “Tell me you’re not sticking around.”

With a wicked grin, Conall said, “I can’t, because it would be a lie. We have to find out who killed the kids’ parents, and why.”

“I’d say whois a given. Eamon’s father, or someone he sent out here.”

“Don’t be too hasty,” Conall retorted. “It’s been twenty years. Why wait so long?”

Deke shot him a contemptuous look. “Like your contact within the Quinn pack, he didn’t know where Eamon was, and that he had become Finlay Sullivan. Then quite recently, he found out somehow.”

Conall spread his hands. “You have a point, by why try to kill the kids as well, and then keep looking for them when he found out they survived?”
