Marian's POV

"Dad. No! Hindi ako papayag. You can't force me." I exclaimed.

He scorned at me. "Are you that fool ha? He's the son of the vice president for pete's sake Marian."

I brushed my hair in frustration. "Bakit ba ang hilig mong e-link ako kahit kanino dad? 'Di mo ba ako tinanong kong gusto ko ba o hindi. You're absurd dad." I clamored.

"My decision is final Marian. You can't do anything about it." He said then leave.

Naiwan ako ditong nakatunganga. Grabe he's so unfair, he even forced me to date with someone even if I'm not concur with it. Hindi ko talaga siya naiintindihan, he's drastic and heartless. Yeah, that's my dad. A man of absurdities and barbarities. Akala niya 'di ko malalaman 'yung pinag gagawa niya sa mga tauhan niyang gustong mag apostate sa kaniya pero huli na ang lahat beacuse dad killed them without mercy.

N'ong na narinig ko siyang may kausap sa telepono I hid so that he can't see me. I just listened to him and I was aghast when I heard this.

"Kill them or cut their corpses."

My hand were shaking and my feet were shuddering. I can't believe he can do that to his colleagues. He's cruel! He's so dreadful. He's not a man he's a fiend.

Nang maalala ko ang mga narinig ko na yun I feel guilty to those people he killed without vices. Too much for that drama. I need to go out in here kung hindi e-lilink na naman niya ako sa kahit kaninong lalaki. How I wish to rid out of this house but dad warned me that's why I can't rot at him. I took my purse sabay labas sa kwarto ko but I got startled when I saw dad's presence. Damn!

"Where are you going?" He asked in a timid tone.

"Ahm...somewhere." I replied undesirably.

He sighed at me. "No! You can't go anywhere you want."

"But...why?" I asked eagerly.

"Because, you have a date today." He replied.

Are he even serious about that? Hindi ba siya nakakaintindi ng salitang 'ayoko' hay, so demanding.

"With?" I asked him again.

He looked at me. "With Ryce." He responded.

"What?! No! I can't!" I exclaimed.

"Wa'g ka ngang maarte ha. He's the son of Alberto Jadon, our vice president of this country. Kaya don't make me upset." He blurted sabay walk out.

Ah! I hate my life. Sabi nila suwerte daw ako kasi mayaman, matalino at bukod do'n may mabait pa daw akong pamilya na nag-aalaga sa 'kin. Kung alam lang nila ang buhay ko hindi nila masasabi ang mga salitang 'yan. Sa ayaw at sa gusto ko I need to follow him. I walk downstairs at laking gulat ko na lang ng may nakita akong lalaki sa sala, naka upo ito.

I go near him. "Who are you?" I asked curiously.

Lumingon ito sa gawi ko sabay hubad sa shades niyang kulay brown and I saw a man. Gwapo siya to be exact. He has a shaded eyebrows, pointed nose and pinkish lips that making him look hot.

"I'm Ryce, the son of-" I cut him off.

"I know who you are. You're the son of Albertado Jadon, right?" I raised an eyebrow.

Tumango naman siya. "Y-Yes." He stuttered.

"Well if that so, tayo na baka magbago ang isip ko." Mataray kong sabi.

I saw him frightened. "O-Okay." He replied.

Nauna akong lumabas I don't care kung anong sasabihin niya sa akin. It's just a freaking date anymore. I saw a ZL1 camarro. Pinagbuksan niya binigyan ko lang siya ng ngiti sabay pasok sa loob. Pagkapasok ko sa loob nagulat ako kasi may isang bouquet ng tulips, really ha?

Pumasok siya sabay fasten sa seat belt niya. Before we head, he gave a bouquet to me.

"Here." Sabay bigay niya sa akin nung bouquet.

I smiled at him then I get the bouquet from him. "Thank you." I muttered.

Nginitian niya lang ako pagkatapos umalis na kami 'di ko nga alam kung saan kami pupunta . He's the one holding the steering wheel kaya nasa kaniya ang direksiyon. By the way aalis na pala si Stephen bukas and it's quite not good anymore. Ma mi-miss ko 'yung briton na 'yun kahit na ang hirap minsan intindihin ang mga sinasabi niya pero still ma mi-miss ko talaga siya. Naalala ko pa 'yung nangyari sa tagaytay. Tinanong niya kasi ako kung ano ba 'yung pipiliin ko love ba daw o career.

"Hey, I have a question for you." He uttered

My eyes furrowed in confusion. "Okay, what?" I asked eagerly.

He smiled at me. "Ahm...what would you choose love or career? And why?"

I gave him a smile. "What would I choose love or career? For me, I would rather choose love because for me career is always there but love, love is too hard to find and it's so ludicrous that's why I choosed love over career." I replied.

He nodded at me. "Great philisophy." He laugh.

"Sira, I'm just stating then." I replied.

He looked at me. "Okay." He said.

Sana bumalik siya kaagad kasi ma mi-miss ko talaga siya. Feeling ko nga para kaming magkapatid eh pero it's too ridiculous, right? Instead of him na mi-miss ko rin sila, yung mga kaibigan ko. Kamusta na kaya sila? Although may hatred pa rin ako sa kanila but still they are my comrades. They are always there when I have a problems, burdens, and frustration but how can I forgive them if they also cheated on me. I wiped my tears at inayos ko ang sarili ko. Napansin naman ako ni Ryce.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

I nodded at him without saying something. He just smiled at me. After a few hours later nakarating na kami sa isang restaurant. I roamed my eyes at late ko lang na realized na nasa tapat kami ng paborito naming restaurant ng mga kaibigan ko.

"Mack&Jey?" 'Di makapaniwala kong tanong sa sarili ko.

Tumango naman siya sabay ngiti. "Yup. Your dad told me na paborito mo 'tong restaurant na 'to. So I dragged you her." He explained.

I nodded without saying. It's too awkward for us conversing kasi 'di naman namin kilala ang isa't isa and I know ginagawa lang niya ito para sa dad niya. Ang hirap ng sitwasyon ko kung alam lang nila.

I faced her. "Ahm...Ryce." I uttered.

He turned her look to me. "Yes?" He replied.

I heaved a sigh. "Ahm...ginagawa mo lang ba ito para sa dad mo? Para 'di siya magalit?" I asked eagerly.

And as expected tumango siya. "Yeah. Sa totoo lang I have a bo-" Someone cut him off.

"Ryce? As in Ryce Luke Jadon? Ikaw ba 'yan?" Tanong ng lalaki sa kaniya.

I saw him nodded at the man. "Yes, it's me Jeric." Sagot niya.

Tumango naman siya. "Na miss kita bro. I really miss Larex also." The man uttered.

I saw Ryce snooted at the man. "Me too, sana magkita-kita tayong magbabarkada no?" Ryce replied.

The man pouted at him. "Sana, I miss our nasty activities pa naman. Sana maulit 'yun." Sabay halakhak ng lalaki.

Ang manyak niya. The way he look, the way he grinned, the way he acts. He's a certified cassanova.

Binatukan siya ni Ryce. "Sira ka talaga kahit kailan bro." Sabay tawa ng mahina ni Ryce.

"By the way, bakit ka nga pala nandito? 'Di ba 'di mo type kumain ng seafood? Bakit ka nandito eh seafood 'tong restaurant na 'to." Tanong nung Jeric.

"May date kasi kami." Sabay baling niya sa akin.

Tumingin naman 'yung Jeric sa akin. "Oh! Kaya pala." Sabi nung Jeric. Lumapit siya kay Ryce sabay bulong. "Ang sarap niya ah. "Nice picked." Bulong nung Jeric.

Akala niya 'di ko narinig 'yung sinabi niya? Neknek niya.

Bumaling ako sa kaniya. "If you don't mind. May I excuse us." Mataray kong sabi sa kaniya.

He chuckled. Anong nakakatawa? Hay, ang hirap kausapin ng manyak.

I grabbed Ryce hand. Nagulat naman siya.

I faced him. "Shall we?" Pag-aaya ko.

Tumango naman siya pero bumaling muna siya sa kaibigan niya. Tsk!

"Bro, kita-kita nalang tayo sa La Mondo next week. See you there." Sabi ni Ryce.

Tumango naman yung Jeric sabay kindat sa akin. Ah! He's getting into my nerves.

"Sige, enjoy." Sagot nung Jeric sabay kindat sa akin ulit.

I just rolled my eyes in annoyance. Pumasok kami sa loob ng restaurant. I was surprised kasi walang tao tanging mga muscians lang ang nandito. May hawak silang kaniya kaniyang intstrumento.

Bumaling ako sa kaniya. "Did you do this for me?" I asked her.

He shook his head. "Nope, dad set all of this for our date." Sagot niya.

I snooted at him. "Sorry, I just thought that you did this for me but it's okay then. Alam ko namang napilitan ka lang. Hindi ka naman nag-iisa eh." I replied.

He held my hand. "Sorry." He apologized.

I just forced my smile to him. Pumunta ako sa table na pina set-up ng dad niye. Even though act lang 'to he's treating me like I'm special. He guided me to sit. Umupo rin naman siya pagkatapos.

Ilang saglit lang may lalaking dumating at laking gulat ko nang makita ko ang presensiya nito.

"Jeorge?" Gulat kong sabi.

Pumunta siya sa gawi ko sabay suntok kay Ryce. Nagulat naman ako sa ginawa niya.

He faced Ryce. "Don't you dare to touch her or else...I will kill you." Sabi nito sabay alis.

Naiwan ako ditong nakatunganga 'di ko in expect na magagawa niya 'to sa mismong anak ng vice president. Talagang wala siyang sinasanto.
