Transfixed.

Yes, Kayla was transfixed.

From texting her the previous night, to buying her coffee the next day?

It all did not reek of what Xander can do. Xander, her boss, who couldn't stand her got her coffee?

Damn! She was really scared at some point.

She managed to brace herself up and walked to her office.

As she walked to her office, she hoped it was a prank and a cup of hot, steaming coffee wasn't sitting on her desk.

Well, she was wrong. Because, the moment she walked in, she met eye to eye with the Starbucks coffee. It was sitting pretty on her desk.

At this point, it wasn't a prank to her anymore.

Xander got her coffee? That was all that she thought of.

After much contemplation, she decided to get to work and down the coffee down her throat. It would be bad to reject coffee from anyone, especially her boss.
