CALAMITY NIGHT

 CALAMITY NIGHT.

In the dimly lit private room, the smell of alcohol filled the air. Olivia McQueen frowned in disgust, not like the atmosphere here.

Felix Scout was wearing a custom-made limited edition suit and his gestures emitted a sense of steadiness, but the smile on his face was quite evil. He raised the bottle and poured her a glass of wine, saying unhappily, "Liv, drink with Mr. Brown tonight. He admires talented girls like you the most. You can play some instruments later, and I guarantee you will be able to take over this business.

Olivia raised her gaze and looked at the person in front of her with a complicated expression. She took the cup of wine in her hand and drank it all in one gulp.

Felix was the boyfriend she had dated for three years, and they were now engaged. But, he wanted her to drink with an old person she didn't know. She endured. Her eyes trembled slightly, and her throat felt hot...

Felix saw through Olivia's thoughts and continued to smile, ""Liv, you have nothing to worry about with me here. Nothing will happen, I swear."" he patted his chest in assurance.

Not long ago, Olivia's family business was on the verge of collapse, and her family was in debt overnight. Olivia had just returned home from overseas, but didn't know much about the business at home. On the other hand, her boyfriend, Felix, had always been working in the McQueen group.

Felix told her that Mr. Brown's business was very big and as long as she could sweet talk Mr. Brown, they could save the McQueen group. Olivia could not bear to see her father's hard work ruined, so she braced herself for what was to come.

The heavy metal instruments in the bar collided with the bar and collided with the deafening music. Through the gap in the door, the men and women on the dance floor were twisting their bodies passionately. Olivia's heart shuddered with disgust, and she held Felix's hand and pressed tightly to it as if it was her way of hanging on. She wondered what the night had meant for her.

Not long after, Mr. Brown came over. He was a rich person with a lot of business, and the most important thing was that he had a lot of money. It was said that Mr. Brown liked pretty girls the most, especially women who could play the piano.

Mr. Brown staggered into the room. He was wearing a pink silk shirt with only a few stone of hair left. It caused Olivia to feel a wave of disgust. She really didn't want to stay there any longer.

"Hello, Mr. Brown."" Felix stood up with a fawning face and smiled as he walked in front of Mr. Brown

Ever since Mr. Brown entered the room, his lecherous eyes never left Olivia. He carefully sized her up. She was fair and beautiful, gentle and dignified, making people very happy when they saw her.

"This must be Miss McQueen." Mr. Brown walked to Olivia's side and lustfully said. He reached out his fat hand towards Olivia, wanting to hug her.

Olivia was immediately startled and hid behind Felix in fright. She swallowed her saliva and glared at him, saying, ""Mr. Brown ..."

""hey beauty, don't worry. I heard you can play the piano ?"" Mr. Brown said with a sly smile.

Olivia gripped the sleeve of Felix's shirt tightly and took a deep breath before replying "Yes"

"Good, then go play a song for me" Mr. Brown asked her to play for him arrogantly.

Felix gave her a look and Olivia slowly stood up from her chair and headed straight for the piano on the right side of the stage inside the bar, and some two men who came with Mr Brown went and moved the piano to the middle of the stage. To Olivia, today was a special day. Not only was it related to the survival of her family company, it was also the day of death of an old friend.

It had been four years since she had played the piano, since the accident. She was barely seventeen then. She had not touched the piano for years now, and she didn't want to make a fool of herself tonight. Her fingers trembled as she slowly walked onto the stage.

Dressed in a long beige dress as if she didn't want to create attention for herself, she elegantly sat down on the piano stool, lifting the lid of the piano, her slender fingers gently pressed down. The piano emitted a pleasant prelude, similar to the cautious mood a young girl would have when in love.

The audience in the bar was mesmerized by this. Olivia had thought that she was never going to play the piano again, except for herself. Her fingers were even trembling. Dreams was written by Olivia when she was fifteen, as a gift to her best friend.

In a seat not far away from them, a man was sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed. He had long fingers and distinct joints. When he heard the music, he gripped the glass tightly as if he was about to break it. The reddish liquid slowly flowed down from the glass and slid into the man's throat. He could feel a bitter feeling coming from his heart, as if it had been pierced.

Suddenly, he stood up from the sofa. His tall and straight body and could be said to be perfect. His long fingers recklessly pulled at his tie. He emitted a cold and gloomy aura.

After the song ended, Olivia gracefully walked down the stage. Her heart was trembling. She didn't know whether Mr Brown was satisfied with her performance or not.

Alexander Ambrose pursed his thin lips. He waved his hand to a man on his right that looked older than him and said with a lazy tone, "that's her, Gerald."

The man called Gerald narrowed his eyes like a hawk in the night sky. He stared at Olivia, who was walking down the stage with a sharp and precise gaze. He said lightly "What do you want me to do, Mr Alex?"

"Wait for my instructions," Alexander said, with a deep and unfathomable tone. His black eyes were slightly cold, and his face gave no emotions at all.

Olivia walked towards Felix's side and clenched her fists tightly. She felt sweat on her back and felt weak insides.

Mr Brown clapped his hands on the side, laughed arrogantly and said "Miss Olivia's piano skills are really impressive, I like them. "

""You like it? What else do you like, Mr. Brown?"" Olivia asked with a fake smile plastered on her face. She felt like rolling her eyes and secretly cursing in her heart. If it wasn't for my family business, I wouldn't have bothered a clown like you.

Mr Brown reached out his fat hand towards Olivia, wanting to wrap his arm around her waist. Olivia tactically pulled away with an apologetic smile, she said, "sorry Mr Brown. I want to make use of the restroom first.""

"Go ahead. We'll wait for you in the room."" Mr Brown replied with a sly smile.

Olivia was extremely disgusted inside. She cursed the audacity of the man while feeling doubt in her heart. Felix was her fiance now. He wouldn't dare betray her, would he? She thought to herself. Why was she suddenly feeling insecure? Felix didn't react at all when Mr Brown made a dirty move on her!

"Mr Alex, it's Mr Brown." with sharp eyes, Gerald, who was standing close to Alexander, noticed that Olivia and Mr Brown were talking and the corner of his mouth raised into a mocking smile.

Mr Brown was famous for being a male whore in the city. He had been involved with so many women before, and he especially liked women who could play musical instruments. He didn't know why, but the female students in the music school he owned willingly threw themselves at him. Mr Brown was generous and paid a lot of money to those women, so they wouldn't talk to the media about him.

"It seems like she won't be able to escape tonight" the man called Gerald said as he noticed that Olivia seemed to have excused herself and was headed for the restroom. Alexander, who was pouring wine for himself, suddenly stopped, and he stood up from the sofa.

Gerald didn't follow him, as he probably understood the meaning behind Alex's words. From Alex's attitude, it was obvious that he was interested in that woman. The reason why he had said she wouldn't be able to escape was that he knew that Olivia wouldn't be able to escape Alexander Ambrose once she was caught by him. He was a wolf waiting for his prey, and she just walked into his den.
