Progenitor's Quest 2

Early 1922

Stefan was on his way to Chicago when he saw a man donning on a black suit walking in the street all by himself.

It was Elijah, an Original, he has successfully evaded their father.

He was currently on his way to meet up with some associate of his when he felt someone following him.

After Stefan saw Elijah, he received a series of notification.

**ding, you have seen an Original for the first time**

**ding, you have successfully activated a chain quest, the Progenitor's quest**

**ding, the host has received the chain quest to become the Progenitor of all vampire race and in other to successfully become one, you must complete the following first time quests**

**Meet an Original**

**Daggered an Original**

**Win the heart of an Original**

**Show the Originals that you are not to be messed with**

**Befriend an Original**

**Make a deal with an Original**

**Kill the strongest Original**

**once the host completes every quest, you will become the Progenitor of all vampire race**

Stefan smiled when he saw the notifications "the system always makes things easy for me, I wanted to start gathering venoms of all werewolf pack and everything needed for the beast serum so that I can become an upgraded vampire but now I don't need to do that, I can become a progenitor of all vampire race" Stefan smiled as he followed Elijah to make a deal with him as he is the only one of the Originals that can be reasoned with sometimes.

"Why are you following me?" Said Elijah who appeared behind Stefan after he drew him to an empty area.

"I mean no harm, I just noticed you and I was surprised to find you alone since I heard you all travel together. I always wanted to meet the Originals, the very first vampires so when I saw you, I could not help but follow you, I am sorry if I gave you the wrong idea" said Stefan quickly before Elijah ripped his heart out.

Elijah let go of him and assess Stefan and saw that he was telling the truth "you can be on your way now, I have some business to attend to" said Elijah as he turned around to leave.

"Wait, can I come with you? I can be of help, you can even tell me to do anything and I will do so to the best of my ability. You won't believe this but I am quite resourceful, I can find anyone on this planet with the kind of Network I have" said Stefan trying to entice Elijah but he didn't bulge and just continue walking away.

"Come on, you want something, just tell me" said Stefan as he followed Elijah.

Elijah frowned as he was being disturbed by some stranger and a fanatic "you know what I want, I want you to die" said Elijah as he pierced his hands into Stefan's chest and grabbed his heart.

Stefan sighed as the one person he thought he could make a civil conversation with turns out to be di*k tonight "that's one thing I can't give you, my life" said Stefan as he daggered Elijah "good thing I always keep this thing with me all the time" Stefan said as he dragged Elijah's daggered body out of there.

And that's how he made his way to Chicago to meet up with the other siblings here and complete the chain quest.

Present Time

**congratulations host, you have successfully completed the chain quest, Progenitor's quest**

**ding, you will undergo a transformation in ten minutes and be warned host, it is going to hurt a lot**

Stefan frowned when he read that, he quickly turned to the Originals siblings and made an excuse so that he could get out of there, he ran to his room and wait for the transformation to begin.

After a few minutes of waiting, Stefan felt a very terrifying pain in his heart as it spread slowly throughout his body.

The pain was so unbearable that it took all of his willpower to keep himself from screaming but alas, he couldn't keep up with the pain anymore and let out a cry of pain, alerting everyone in the club.

"There was no point of even excusing myself in the first place" said Stefan before he lose his consciousness.

After what seem like an eternity, Stefan finally woke up to see Katherine beside his bed as she looked at him in concern.

"You are awake, took you look enough" said Katherine as she looked at him.

Stefan slowly got up and looked around him and found out that it was just him and Katherine "where is everybody?" He asked her.

"They are gone, though your Al Capone friend is still in Chicago, apparently he has created an organization here and named it Blood Bound Brothers, he visits from time to time" said Katherine..

Stefan frowned when she said that and wondered how long he was out "how long have I been out?" He asked.

Katherine raised her hands and opened it wide to show him. Stefan realizing what she meant, immediately left the bed and stood up "five weeks, I have been out for five weeks? And they all just left?" Stefan said as he couldn't believe he was just abandoned just like that.

Katherine chuckled when she saw his reaction "who said it was five weeks? What I was going to say is you have been unconscious for five good years" Katherine smiled as she said that.

Stefan sat back in the bed, he lost five years of his life just for a simple evolution "why are you still here? it is not like you to stay with me without leaving" Stefan asked her confused.

"Ouch, you have hurt my feelings, Stefan, can't I be with the one I am going to spend my next 100 years with?" Katherine asked acting hurt.

Stefan didn't buy it and just stared at her "okay, I will spill it, I have been compelled to stay here with you until you wake up and after that while reminding you each year that you have a doppelganger to deliver" she said clearly annoyed.

Stefan didn't need to anyone to tell him who was behind it as he knew that there is only one person who could do that and that was no one other than Klaus.

Then he thought of Rebekah and knew that Klaus most have daggered her and carried her in along with him in a coffin.

As if knowing what he was thinking, Katherine said "and if you want to ask if Rebekah left willing, then the answer is yes, she was feeling sick the first week you were unconscious, so they went to figure out what was wrong with her as our little witch here could not figure it out"

Stefan did not believe it and took it as one of Klaus's little game to make him forget about Rebekah.

He and Katherine chatted a little bit before his attention was drawn to a red transparent panel in his line of sight.
