Chapter 6 [Edited]

I decided that cleaning the meat up and draining it off its blood would be the best way to prepare it before it could be cooked.

I then buried its organs near the other graves and went to the fire that the others had prepared late in the night.

A lot of them were taking their bracelets off and shouting.

I

I wanted to connect with the others and get to know them better and socialise.

Life was better with a few friends.

And besides, some of the ways Clarke dealt with things, in the beginning were too childish.

I may sound like a stupid teen that has nothing better to do than criticize others but I understand her I that is why I believe she isn't fit yet.

The way she acted towards the case of Wells's murder was understandable but unfair.

It was idiotic how she made everyone aware of the situation which created hate that caused a few later casualties.

But what I think was the worst is that she had nothing against Murphy being ganged upon, beaten brutally and hanged from a tree, an experience he almost did not survive.

That made sense since she hated him already and she thought he was the killer

But when it was revealed that he actually wasn't the assassin, all they accomplished was lowering him down from the tree without even apologizing to him (A/N correct me if I'm wrong here).

Meanwhile, Charlotte the true murderer only died by suicide due to regretting her actions of murdering Wells and the turmoil those actions caused.

Apart from that, nobody except Murphy, obviously, and his band of loyal followers were willing to actually do anything to punish her.

And while some might think that she was just a child, she was still thirteen years old.

At that age, everyone with a brain knows how to differentiate between what to do and what not to do.

And Charlotte certainly had a brain.

But enough of my ranting.

I asked Wells to help me get pieces of wood which he accepted.

While he did that I went to pick sticks that were both thin and long to act as skewers for the meat which should solve the utensils problems.

All this reminds me of when my mom cooked a literal feast for my little sister's birthday and invited the whole family and plenty of friends.

The good old days.

(Two hours later)

The food fish was freshly roasted and ready to eat.

I could see the natural grease coming off of it

It was my cue to go get the others.

"Hey guys, are you hungry?!"

The small crowd looked at me in confusion.

They were probably thinking:

What does he mean?

Is he trolling us?

Of course, we are hungry, but there is no food.

"I found a massive fish in the river, and Wells helped me prepare and cook it," I looked at him and he smiled at everyone awkwardly.

"So wanna eat or not?" I invited.

It was at that exact moment, that nature decided to intervene.

It was raining.

The weather almost ruined our meal.

Good thing we put the food in the drop ship.

I forgot that rain was even going to fall tonight.

Everyone went into the drop ship to take food to eat.

But Bellamy and his goons decided to impose that everybody takes off their bracelet in exchange for food.

I decided I wouldn't let this fly anymore.

"Bellamy, it's my kill, so I make my own rules concerning it. Everybody gets to eat it, wrist-bands on or off doesn't matter,"

I would normally want to take this time to show him that I wasn't a sheep he could easily scare or manipulate.

Murphy moved forward towards me.

This was the first time I got a clear view of his face.

It made me want to punch it so badly but wasn't the time.

But Bellamy currently had a fully loaded gun to fall back on in case things had gone out of hand.

Maybe one of the reasons he did the 'whatever the hell we want' bullshit was because he had the weapon for any situation that got out of control.

And that was if his older trained body and fighting skills weren't enough.

And while I was confident in being able to defeat Bellamy in hand-to-hand combat due to my superior strength and emotional sensing.

No matter how inhuman my strength would get. One bullet in the right area was enough. And I didn't plan on dying just yet. Or at least, I didn't want anyone to die in the crossfire.

Murphy moved forward towards me, smirking.

It was impressive how much he could make someone angry.

This was the first time I got a clear view of his face.

It made me want to punch it so bad but now wasn't the time.

"Fine, you win. But do that again later and you'll regret it," I promised.

After that, I left to take my spirits elsewhere from this mess.

I took one of the drum thingies and left towards the river.

It was time to see if I could find more fish or a land animal this time.
