3 Chapter 3: Master of Tools

Meanwhile, Boruto, perched on the edge of a building, received the memories from his dispersed clone. "Damn, I guess I can't always get what I want in this world," he muttered, his gaze focused on the horizon.

He was taking a break from his relentless search for Hatake Kakashi. "If I don't find him in three days, I'll stop looking," he decided aloud. His mind started to wander to other potential mentors. "Who's good with a sword? Tenten, she could teach me how to use one. That's a good idea." He smacked his right fist into his left palm, a determined look on his face.

Somewhere nearby, a figure with white hair watched Boruto from afar. It was none other than Hatake Kakashi himself. He had been aware of Boruto's search for him for some time, and decided to have a bit of fun by testing the boy's patience, much like he had done with Naruto years ago.

"What is this kid planning? He's been searching for me for quite a while," Kakashi mused to himself, a small smile playing at his lips. "Naruto, huh? Your son is similar to you. Let's see how long he'll search for me."

Meanwhile, Boruto lifted up his shirt to examine his stomach. "This won't do. Sure, my body is athletic, but I need more power. I wonder why shinobi in this world don't have more muscle," he thought to himself.

He stood up and said to himself, "Let's forget about Kakashi for today and go to Tenten's shop. I'm sure she doesn't have that many customers."

With that, Boruto took a leap of faith and jumped down from the building. As he neared the ground, he created a clone beneath him and used it as a platform to jump to another building. He made his way to Tenten's shop as fast as he could, impressing even Kakashi with his use of the Body Flicker technique at such a young age.

"At this age, he already knows the Body Flicker technique. Did someone teach him?" Kakashi muttered to himself, his curiosity piqued.

Kakashi followed Boruto, his curiosity piqued as to why the young ninja had entered the Ninja Tools Roll Roll shop. "Why is he entering this shop?" Kakashi muttered to himself, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Has he stopped searching for me?"

Before Boruto could enter the shop, he turned around suddenly, as if sensing someone watching him from afar. Kakashi quickly ducked his head, hiding from Boruto's view. "It must have been my imagination," Boruto muttered to himself, before turning back to the shop and entering.

Inside, he was greeted by Tenten, who smiled warmly as she saw her first customer of the day.

"Welcome... Is it Boruto? You've grown a lot since the last time I saw you," Tenten greeted Boruto, rising from her seat and walking up to him.

"Tenten-nee-san, can I buy something?" Boruto asked, a hint of excitement in his voice.

Tenten's face lit up with joy. "You remember me!" she exclaimed. "Of course, what do you want to buy? I can give you a discount, Boruto."

Boruto scratched his head, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I want a Chakra Blade and a wooden sword. But how much does a regular Chakra Blade usually cost?" he inquired.

"Usually, it's around 60,000 Ryou, but for you, I can give you a discount," Tenten replied, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Boruto's eyes widened at the price. "Damn, I don't have that much money," he muttered, a tinge of disappointment in his voice.

"So, will you only buy a wooden sword then?" Tenten asked, trying to find a solution.

Boruto nodded, determination shining in his eyes. "Yes, I want two of them," he said.

"Okay, sold," Tenten declared, reaching for the wooden swords and placing them on the counter.

"Tenten-nee-san, if you're not busy, can you teach me how to use a sword? My mother mentioned that you're a master at using weapons," Boruto asked, a hopeful look on his face, even though Hinata hadn't mentioned anything like this.

Tenten glanced around the empty shop, her brow furrowing. "I can't right now as I have to keep the shop open," she explained, a hint of regret in her voice.

Boruto stared at her, his eyes pleading. Tenten couldn't meet his gaze and looked away, feeling a tinge of guilt.

"Really, can't Tenten-nee-san spare just one hour to teach me, please? I just want to learn how to use a sword," Boruto pleaded, his voice filled with sincerity.

Tenten let out a sigh, realizing how much this meant to Boruto. "Okay, I'll teach you how to use a sword," she finally relented.

"Thank you, Tenten-nee-san!" Boruto exclaimed, unable to contain his excitement. He hugged Tenten, surprising her, and she patted his back gently before he released her.

"So, when can we start the training?" Boruto asked eagerly.

"Hmm, how about tomorrow around 6 pm?" Tenten suggested, thinking of a suitable time.

"Thanks, Tenten-sensei. See you tomorrow!" Boruto called out as he left the shop.

Tenten called after him, "Wait!" but he had already disappeared from the shop. "He forgot about his wooden sword," Tenten murmured to herself, a small smile playing on her lips. "Ah well, I'll give it to him tomorrow when we start the training."

As Boruto left the shop, a wide smile adorned his face, radiating a sense of contentment. Kakashi, who had been quietly reading a book nearby, paused and furrowed his brow in confusion. "Ehh, why is he so happy now?" Kakashi pondered to himself, his curiosity piqued.

Meanwhile, Boruto glanced up at the sun, realizing the time. "I should head back home now. Himawari is waiting for me," he said to himself, a sense of responsibility in his voice.

With a burst of energy, Boruto sprinted through the streets, his feet barely touching the ground. Kakashi, intrigued by Boruto's sudden change in demeanor, decided to follow him discreetly, keeping a safe distance. He observed as Boruto swiftly made his way back to his home.

However, when Kakashi saw Boruto arrive at his house and enter, he decided to retreat. With a nod of understanding, Kakashi turned and made his way back to his own home.

"I'm back," Boruto announced as he entered the house, carefully placing his sandals on the rack. Just as he finished, he heard the sound of running footsteps, and his little sister Himawari came bounding towards him with a bright smile on her face.

"Welcome back, Onii-chan! Let's play!" Himawari exclaimed eagerly, her eyes shining with excitement.

Boruto chuckled. "Sure, but let me clean myself up first, okay?" he replied, ruffling her hair affectionately.

"I understand, Captain!" Himawari cutely saluted, her enthusiasm undeterred, and skipped back to the living room.

After taking a refreshing bath and changing into fresh clothes, Boruto joined Himawari in the living room. They played together, their laughter filling the air, for about 30 minutes. But then, an idea sparked in Boruto's mind.

"Himawari, I want to test something. Do you want to try?" Boruto asked, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Curious, Himawari tilted her head. "What is it?"

"Get on my back," Boruto instructed, crouching down.

Himawari hopped onto Boruto's back, and he securely held onto her legs to ensure her safety. Boruto approached the walls, placing his right foot against the surface and then his left foot, slowly climbing up until they reached the ceiling.

"Onii-chan, this is dangerous," Himawari voiced her concern, wrapping her arms around Boruto's neck for added security.

"It's fine," Boruto reassured her, his voice filled with confidence.

Just then, Hinata entered the living room and was taken aback to see her son and daughter standing on the ceiling.

"Both of you, get down!" Hinata exclaimed, her worry evident in her voice.

Boruto swiftly flipped down from the ceiling, landing on the ground like Spider-Man, and gently placed Himawari back on her feet. Hinata's gaze shifted between her children, her expression stern.

"Whose idea was it to stick to the wall?" Hinata asked, her tone firm.

"It was me," Boruto admitted, raising his hand without hesitation.

"You know that it's dangerous, Himawari doesn't know how to use chakra yet," Hinata scolded, her concern for their safety evident.

"I know," Boruto replied, his gaze lowered.

Himawari watched the interaction, clutching her teddy bear tightly, her eyes filled with a mix of curiosity and understanding.

Hinata let out a sigh, realizing that Boruto had learned his lesson. "Go to your room," she instructed, her voice softening.

Without uttering a word, Boruto obediently turned and headed towards his room, reflecting on his actions.

Hinata observed her son's retreating figure and couldn't help but feel a sense of mixed emotions.
