As Jean's psionic tendrils were finally able to penetrate and enter Charles' mind, he felt his entire life being revealed in front of Jean, his memories, his darkest secrets, his ambitions everything led bare for her to read like an open book.
"There, found it." Jean smiled after a moment as she pulled on something invisible from Charles' mind. Immediately, like a fish caught in a fishing hook, something came outside of Xavier's body, something ominous that took a humanoid figure.
This humanoid figure looked extremely similar to Magneto wearing his traditional costume and helmet, but on serious steroids because it was tall and jacked like a wrestler. Also, there was an ominous aura around it like it was basically a ghost or something. Rudeus immediately recognized the entity, it was one of X-men's villains, another unfortunate accident caused by the Professor's hypocrisy in the comics, Onslaught.
In the comics, he or it was the abomination created by the combined psionic energies of Magneto and Professor X. And it seems, this one was also something like that if he were to consider its appearance and its place of origin.
"Interesting, it seems that you were keeping secrets again Professor. You had a jacked-up Magneto inside yourself. You truly did 'love' your friend, didn't you?" Rudeus couldn't help but joke.
"Magneto, is he still alive?" Pietro asked as he looked at the being who he feared to be his dictator father freshly returned from the dead.
"No, it's some kind of spectral being born from the professor's psionic energy and the psionic remains of Magneto that the professor had somehow managed to 'save' and store in himself. It can almost be called a monstrous meta ghost." Jean replied to Pietro as she went through the professor's memories.
"That sounds about right. It also seems that it hadn't fully formed yet. Jean probably took it out while it was still in its gestation and developing period." Rudeus said noticing its half-formed legs as well as its unnatural opacity.
"That explains why it's not moving or even conscious." Ororo added while inspecting the 'ghost'.
Most of the students by now had started murmuring among themselves seeing the present situation. Some were speculating about stuff while some were just angrily complaining about the professor's unethical practices while dreading the potential creation of a new enemy. However, Rudeus could swear that he heard someone whispering to someone else about how the person knew that the professor was Magneto's gay lover and even long suspected him of being pregnant.
The main man, Professor Charles Xavier himself wasn't able to respond to any of those allegations as he was right now in a comatose state, only muttering something about Eric, due to the combination of Jean's mental attack and his being excessively deprived of psionic energy by Onslaught.
"So, should I destroy it? I can sense a lot of power and negativity from it. Letting it live could potentially create a new enemy for us." Jean said, her attitude towards mercy and no killing seems to have changed much after the entire dark phoenix fiasco.
"Wait, isn't it an unborn fetus in a way? Can we even kill it without the government's permission because it sure looks like it's more than four weeks old?" Kitty came out of the crowd and spoke up while acting the part of a concerned and empathetic woman.
"Kitty, I like you. You are pretty cool, but if you say something like that again, we can't be friends. Also, I think that statement works only on human babies not a demonic abomination spawn looking like the Rock wearing stupid cosplay armor born out of a metahuman Hitler and a wannabe Gandhi." Rudeus said while making it clear that he was gonna ignore all the worthless woke statements like that from everyone here.
Many people were happy with this as they didn't wanna deal with another crazy villain who wanted to steal their power or kill them but there were also a minority who had empathetic gazes and were thinking if Onslaught should deserve another chance at life since it hadn't actually done anything evil at all till now.
'Maybe I should make a rule that people under my faction can't be 'woke' as long as they work for me because I don't wanna deal with those retarded abominations that are gonna populate this country two decades later.' He thought while seriously considering the idea.
"Uh sorry, I was just trying to get involved in the conversation," Kitty said a little sad that she embarrassed herself.
"They always do..." Rudeus replied and moved on, not making it clear what he was talking about.
Rudeus hadn't received a system quest related to Onslaught for some reason. Maybe it wasn't that important to the 'plot'. So that basically meant that he had the complete freedom to do whatever he wished without caring about any missed reward.
"Don't kill it." Rudeus decided. He had something much better to use it for.
"I'll take care of it," Rudeus said as he went towards Onslaught. He could order Jean to just kill it but that would not bode well with some people here who believed in second chances to psychotic villains. Hell, even Ororo seemed to be one of them as she didn't look sure if they should kill it or not based on just a hypothesis. Also, it seemed too much of a waste to just kill it and be done with it.
With a small smile on his lips, Rudeus accessed one of his Rinnegan's abilities, one that he still hadn't used till now. An intense beam of energy escaped from both of his hands and targeted Onslaught the beam enveloped the armored monster in pure light and slowly warped its body. Soon, the body of Onslaught disappeared completely from everyone's view.
"There I have now placed him in stasis using my magic. We would do some proper research later to determine if it's truly evil or not. If it is not an evil being, we would release it somewhere safe or make sure it's taken care of." Rudeus blatantly lied, his Golden Rule skill making it completely believable.
There was no proof or indication that Rudeus was lying so the people mostly believed his lies and moved on because none of them noticed a small pear-shaped fruit that was now in Rudeus's right hand, hidden from everyone's view.
"Now, I think it's time for every one of you to go back to your rooms," Ororo said after noticing the crowd to be only growing and becoming more restless with time. Fortunately, the dormitory building was almost unscratched from Jean's attack since Rudeus stopped her before her atomizing attack reached it.
As all the students and teachers slowly went back to their respective dormitories and rooms at this and even Ororo left while escorting the comatose-looking professor and Jean's parents to the institute, Rudeus whispered into Jean's ears "It's time for you to get back your lost respect with some good PR moves."
"What do I have to do? I'll do anything to get back your and the others' trust." Jean said determined.
"Don't worry. It won't be anything too difficult. All you have to do is just repair everything you destroyed and try to heal back Scott's fractured mind." Rudeus said, hoping that she with her full omega level capabilities which were further amped up by the powers of the Dark Phoenix she absorbed would be able to heal Scott's destroyed mind.
"Oh come on, really?" Jean said frustrated.
"What? You were the one who destroyed this place. So it's only fair if you repair it. Also, you should be able to do it in just a fortnight with your capabilities." Rudeus answered, not ready to move back from his decision.
"I was not talking about that. I meant, could you not get anyone else to heal Scott, or maybe just let him be like that for a few more days? I am sure that he is enjoying his relaxing time on his bed now." Jean said while giving an angelically honest smile.
"No, you are the one who has to do that. I can probably do it too but if you do it would make it appear like you are trying to better yourself and right your wrongs by taking responsibility for your actions. Also, you don't really have to make him completely mentally healthy, just enough to pass him off as normal and mentally fit if you know what I mean..." Rudeus gave an evil smile as he looked at Jean at which Jean returned with one of her own after understanding what he meant to say.
"By the way, are ya gonna eat that tasty-looking juicy pear because I am really hungry right now? That ice cream truck surprisingly didn't have any ice cream in it. So, if ya aren't gonna eat that, can I have it?" Gwenpoole spoke up after a while as she hungrily looked at the fruit in Rudeus' hands with saliva dripping from her mouth.
