1 The new beginning

My name is Jackson Bruce I'm 18 years old 6ft tall with black hair that didn't go past my neck and I'm in the 12th grade.

I have no family that lives close my mom and dad are never home but they send money and food I'm also a only child so no siblings.

It's 5am and I'm getting ready to do my morning training of 100 push-ups 100 squats 100 sit-ups and a minute plank then I go on a 5 mile run to top it off.

I do this training because I was once bullied a lot just for being weak or maybe they were mad I was smarter it doesn't matter when I was 13 a dojo master took me in and trained me but because of his old age he had to stop teaching me and a year later he died asking me to keep doing my training so I will keep going and keep pushing my limits to make my master proud.

After his morning work out Jackson when straight to school to arriving on time like always. teaches always liked Jackson he was a honest boy and got his work done and even with his body being well built he didn't bully anyone treating everyone the same.

Jackson was heading to class saying hi to all the teachers along the way and some fellow students. Arriving in class early to sit at his desk that was right next to a widow, fortunately. He also studied for the test coming up in a few days. His first period teacher mrs.moonlight walked in saying, "hello Jackson your here earlier then usual is everything alright?"

Jackson always appreciated mrs.moonlights kindness so he replayed with "of course everything is fine I'm just studying for the test coming up and I thought this would be the best place."

"Alright, know I'm always here if you need to talk" she said while sitting at her desk and started grading papers.

When everyone got in class mrs.moonlight started class, her class was history so you can imagine how bored he was because already read this on his own time.

So to pass the time he decided to stare out the window into the city to see cars crashing and people eating each other? All he could do was mutter "what the fuck?" Apparently some of his classmates herd his comment all the kids next to the window decided to look out it and witness what looked like a horror movie.

Students started screaming and some started to vomit at the gruesome scenes at the front gates of the school where their gym teacher was getting eaten alive.

"What's is with all this fuss?" mrs moonlight asked while walking to the widow to witness the gruesome site of a man eating the gym teacher while he was screaming for anyone to help him.

Without hesitation she pulled out her phone and called the police for the phone to go to an automated message saying, "sorry we have no one to take your call at the moment if this is a real emergency stay on the line" then she was put on hold. She had a terrified face because she come to the realization this might be happening everywhere.

Suddenly the PA system in the room announce the principles voice, "THIS IS NOT A DRILL I repeat this is not a drill there are several intruders on campus, they have already killed the gym teacher and I can't get ahold of the police so teachers lock the doors and keep the students safe and aaaaaaaaaasa" Then the PA system cut off.

The fear could be seen on everyone's faces. Suddenly the class rooms door swings open and three bloody people walk in slowly even stumbling a little.

The girl closest to the door walked up to then and asked, "are you guys ok?" but before she could touch the person shoulder, one of the three grabbed her hand and started biting into it ripping out a chunk of her wrist.

The girl started screaming form the excruciating pain the two others people behind him walked closer to the girl to sink there teeth into both sides of her neck silencing the girl screams.

Everyone in the room was stunned, frozen in place like what was in front of them wasn't real, there was one person who couldn't just sit anymore.

That person was nun other then Jackson with a chair in hand he walked to the group of three and began to violently swing the chair as hard as he could at the three still eating the girls body.

He kept swinging for what felt like minutes then he stoped and spoke, "mrs.moonlight can you please toss me the keys we need to lock the door" he said in almost to calm of a voice.

The cold voice as hard as iron snapped mrs moonlight out of her frozen state and she tossed the classroom keys to Jackson.

Catching the keys and locking the door Jackson was walking away from the door then suddenly his leg got grabbed which made him fall on his ass he was completely caught off guard, but to his rescue was a boy named Fred Thompson.

Fred started violently stomping on the arm attached to Jackson's leg after 5 stomps or so the hand let go, but the body's started growing and moving toward the students.

Fred mumbled "z..zombies!" as he fell backwards but his words didn't go unnoticed in the room a short girl said "ZOMBIES ARE NOT REAL" she was about to keep going on her rant but a hand grabbed tightly around her ankle followed by cold liquid on the back of her legs.

Turning around to see Jackson's foot deep in one of the student skull that grabbed her with a ice cold expression on his face. The other walking dead was already standing by this time making Jackson take a fighting stance ready for his opponents.

He wasn't alone Fred walked up and said in a shaky voice "I'll deal with the left you got the right." Fred wasn't a strong kid if anything he was the nerd of the class probably couldn't run a mile straight without passing out.

Jackson knew Fred was just trying to help so he gave Fred a nearby chair and said "thanks Fred that would be a big help, let me handle the clean up. you just don't get hurt alright" he said with a smile.

Fred knew what Jackson was talking about so he just nodded and went in to separate the two successfully knocking his opponent the ground.

Jackson wasn't slacking off either he was testing he's opponents power, by throwing quick jabs to the chest for no reaction he finally understood that these were real undead so now play time was over with a powerful leg kick making his opponent fall to the ground the following up was a heavy stomp to the head making it explode.

Fred still keeping his opponent on the ground by hitting him in the legs with the chair when he tried to get his feet under him. Jackson quickly finished off Fred's opponent making Fred sigh in relief.

Everyone in the room was looking at the blood covered Jackson just standing over the girl that got attacked every one in the room didn't know what he was doing.

Fred on the other hand spoke "YOU DON'T THINK SHE WILL?" but before he could finish his sentence the girl slowly started to stand while growling but before she could stand up properly Jackson kicked her head hard into the back wall killing her.

Everyone was silent so silent you could here kids from other classes be eaten but this didn't stop mrs.moonlight trying to calm everyone.

"Everyone please take a seat calm down and wait for the military to come."

Jackson didn't say a word just walking to the back of the class to the sink to wash his hands and face. Taking off his shirt to wash it.

the girl he saved walked up to him. "Thank you Jackson, for saving me" but Jackson didn't replay just continuing to wash his shirt like she wasn't there.

she didn't bother speaking again just walking back to her desk and trying to use her phone to quickly realize she had no service.

"What the fuck is going on why don't I have service I always have service at school what's happening!?" she said practically screaming for answers everyone was quiet no one had a answer. But one person in the room started dying of laughter like it was the funniest joke in the world this person was nun other then Jackson.

"Hahahahahahahahaha you haven't released it yet it's the end of the world, look out the window, hell look in the hallways of the school. This is happening everywhere probably all around the world, did you not see that girl come back from the dead? did you not see the beating I put on those dead guys? If you don't destroy the brain they don't die just like in the movies Fred knows." He said this Looking at Fred making the whole class look at him.

".... y..yes I've watched a lot of zombie movies there my favorite I think I've seen all the zombies movies in existence." He said like it was a accomplishment.

"Well since we have nothing to do why don't you tell the class about these zombies, you know so much about and what happens at the end of these moves." Mrs moonlight segregated with a warm smile trying to keep the students as calm as possible.

"You guys do that, but I'm going out. The work shop class is 3 classes away, I'll be back with weapons." Jackson said shirtless walking to the door.

"I can't stop you Jackson I don't think anybody can, but do you have to do this now, can't we wait for help?" Mrs moonlight asked in a worried tone.

"What if we do stay here and nobody comes? We'll be stuck in this classroom with more and more of the dead coming through the front gates, the longer we're here the more of the dead will come."

He answered while unlocking the door. Then he toss the keys to mrs moonlight, "keep them safe and lock the door behind me mrs.moonlight."

"Just call me Jessica, you keep calling me that all the time it makes me feel old. we will be waiting for your return Jackson." She said this while closing the door behind Jackson.

Jackson was surprised there wasn't manny undead in the hall way being able to dodge and walk pass the 3 that were in his way, quickly getting to the workshop class.

Entering the class to find nobody but that didn't concern him everything he needed was here. Wood and a Electric saw he wasn't much for arts and crafts but making a couples pointy spears was easy.(made out of two by sixes) with the amount of wood here he was able to make 6 spears.

He quickly left the workshop making his way back class to see the 3 zombies he dodge on the way here he decided to take them out with one strike to the head each with the spear.

Back at the door of his main class he called out "it's Jackson open up" Jessica opened the doors immediately like she was waiting, "welcome back Jackson what did you find anything." She asked.

"It looks like all the dead ones moved to the upper floors there was only 3 in the hallway just now if we are quite I think we can make it to the cafeteria that will be the best place to hold out." Jackson stated.

Every one in the class was silent no one wanted to leave the class room for fear they might get attacked by the dead. Jackson dropped 4 spears on the ground and handed one to Fred.

"I'm going to the cafeteria you guys can sit here if you want, but know I might not be coming back this might be a one way trip and if I have a chance to leave with food in my bag I'm taking the chance. your welcome to join me but know I'm no baby sitter if you run I will not come after you." He casually stated while he grabbing his shirt and his bag.

The only person to walk next to Jackson was Fred and the girl he saved. "I don't think we have met formally, I'm Lori ash" she said with her hand out to Fred.

Fred didn't think she was talking to him but when he realized she was, he shook her hand and said, "I'm Fred Thompson nice to meet you."

"Sorry about my out burst earlier I was just scared of the truth so I tried to take out my fear on you I'm sorry about that Fred." She said with a bow which wasn't a common thing people did around around this area.

"There's no need to do all that, were all are scared and I don't think anyone can say differently. so I forgive you." He said with a genuine smile that made Lori smile back.

"Alright grab a weapon Lori you might not want it or you might even be scared to use it, but it's going to save your life weather you like it or not. Every body that's not coming with us good luck and I hope you make it." He said this while only looking at mrs moonlight. Before leaving the room again with Fred and Lori.

With Jackson taking the lead with Fred at the rear Lori was in the middle where she felt safest. Jackson spoke to the group, "we need to move quickly and silently so stay close."

Hearing this they both nodded. Making their way to the stars to slowly walk to the bottom floor, tobe greeted by scattered body parts and blood all over the walls.

The site alone almost made Lori vomit but she kept it in somehow. Lori seeing Jackson not slowing down after seeing the mess she called out, "we can't head this way let's go around the other side."She said in a low whisper.

"Sigh... this is the best way I promise you that do you see the body's they have been eaten by a lot more the just one of those thing so they're traveling together since they're not here that means there in the other side were you said to go." He explained back whispering.

This made Lori quiet for a moment because it made sense. "Alright lead the way" she said with a sigh.

Fred in the back of the small group has seen this sight to manny times in his favorite moves but seeing it in person was different it made him smile thinking of the moves he loved coming real. No one saw this but if they did they would think Fred enjoyed the sight in front of him and he did.

Heading down the hallway of mangled corpses. After 10 minutes of walking through what looked like hell they finally arrived at the cafeteria. The cafeteria has 3 main double doors and one door in the back we're they bring in food they arrived at one of the main doors. Entering the empty room Jackson already started giving orders.

"We need to block the doors as quickly as possible you guys get these ones and I'm going to the back."

Before they could replay Jackson was already in the back. Walking into the kitchen to see the lunch lady perfectly fine making herself breakfast. "Hay lunch lady there is a emergency on campus we have to barricade the door back door." Jackson stated casually and calmly making it sound made up to her.

The lunch lady was confused "a emergency? No one told me" she said in a unamused voice thinking it was a prank. "You have to go back to class boy before I call the principal."

"Go ahead he's dead, no one will answer you if you don't believe me let's take a look out side." He said in a deep chilling voice.

The lunch lady didn't like how nonchalantly this student said the principal was dead so she pulled out her phone and tried calling him but before the number could go through the call was cut off.

Walking to the back door to see if the boy was telling the truth the second the back door open a zombie grabbed the lunch lady, but immediately let go because of a spear went right through the zombies brain right in front of the lunch lady's eyes making her vomit.

"You still think this is a prank lady?" He asked while throwing the vomit covered body out the door and barricading it when closed. "I know this if not a good way to meet by the name is Jackson me and 2 others will be staying here a while to rest and pack food before we leave your welcome to join us." He offered with a smile that only unsettled her even more.
