34 Do you feel it son? The disturbance in the horny?

Keeping himself from making a reference. Julian sat on the stool that was still before his bed and gave the still groggy-eyes Raynare the clothes he bought.

"Here, these are yours. From now on, you'll help around the house and learn how to live like a normal person, not acting like it. In exchange, you will be fed, lodged and paid for your service. You can have the guest room. If there's something you need, you can come to me or my parents. I already told them about you, and they know about the supernatural."

Raynare took a moment to register his words before looking through the various dresses, shirt, pants and skirt he had messily dropped on the mattress.

She looked overall way better than the last time she was awake, less prone to...

Kill herself.

Julian didn't know if it was intentional or not, but he hadn't even told her anything about what to wear and yet Raynare paused on a maid outfit and decided to put it on. Without bothering about he naked state.

Shaking his head, Julian didn't fall for whatever she was doing and kept staring without a single change in his expression.

Suddenly remembering that Raynare maybe had knowledge that Melissa for some reason hadn't. Julian asked with interest flashing through his eyes. "Oh, also. Could you explain to me how to manipulate holy energy to form a spear of light and such? Your former subordinate Melissa was not able to explain how she was able to do it."

A scowl briefly appearing on Raynare face before she simply sighed. Raynare realized a thing that made her quirk an eyebrow. "Melissa can't explain because she is an hybrid, half-fallen and half-human. And hybrid have the inherent ability to manipulate their power from birth. No need for any of the theories behind. And... I don't want to overstep my boundaries. Julian...Sama. But why would you want to know such a thing?"

'Hybrid can manipulate their power from birth? Then why isn't it the case for me? Only my power of destruction came with something of an instinct on how to use it.' Julian questioned himself.

It didn't take long for him however to find the most probable answer. It being that he wasn't merely an hybrid, but a perfectly fused one. Resulting in him being a totally new race alltogether.

A Nephilim.

As for Raynare's question. Julian only answer was to smirk and display his wings, forming a ball of holy energy in his right hand and one of demonic in his left.

Contrary to Julian expectation, Raynare didn't lose her shit but merely gained a surprised expression. "So you are also an hybrid! Simply not a natural one. That explain how you were so strong. Were you perhaps an angel who joined a peerage?"

There were multiple holes in her logic, as he should have a fallen angel wing if it was the case. And not a pure one. And he would be answering to a devil's order, which nothing he did indicated as such.

But that's also then that he realized that being a half-angel half-devil hybrid wasn't that special. Akeno could be considered one after all. Nothing could indicate that he was a Nephilim and a natural born hybrid besides his unique magic.

So, not rectifying Raynare, Julian just shrugged and nodded his head. Listening with rapt attention to her explanation on how to train one control of holy energy and use it to create lethal structures and weapons.

And it really wasn't that instinctual a thing. And he was sure it wasn't something explained in the original work.

All in all, to materialize a weapon. You had to first create an hollow outskirt of the form you wanted to make inside your own body. Be it a ball, a square, or a spear. And afterward, you had to maintain it and cristalize it in a solid state. For in the end, fill the form with a more condensed state of the energy to give the structure substance.

Then, you simply pushed it all outside your hand. And bam, you were now a walking armory.

At least, that's how it was in theory. It personally took Raynare years of training to make the process simultaneous and add the explosive effect to her spears. That's also what it took for the average fallen angel.

So, of course that's why it only took Julian the better part of half an hour with Raynare's guidance to make his first spear. A light spear, who looking akin to a crystal weapon, was strangely shining in a grey hue with accents of gold.

Not making any comments on Raynare dumbfounded face as he knew he was the anomaly in the room. Julian smiled as he diverted the subject. "You look good in that outfit." To be fair, all girls would look good in a maid outfit. But Raynare was obviously on a whole another level.

It seemed even Raynare who was well used to compliments got flustered a little by Julian's own coupled with his smile. She was also glad that she wasn't treated as badly as she thought she would be. Even with his last promise of this morning.

Checking the time with the only clock present in the room. Julian stood up and made sign for Raynare to follow him. "Come. I'll have to go to school soon. But before that, let me show you your room."

As Raynare piled up all her new clothes in her arms and left the bed, her legs trembled for a bit before they gave up under her. Sending all the clothes up in the air.

Appearing at her side after grabbing all the flying outfits, Julian put one of her arms around his shoulders as he stabilized her and supported her walking.

"So-Sorry." A little meak, Raynare apologized as some fear could be seen in her eyes.

Julian shrugged of her attitude as he knew where it came from and answered. "No worry, you're probably still not used to be as weak as the average human. Just don't show your current state to my parents or you'll give them some ideas."

Taking a deep breath and her courage with both of her metaphorical hands, Raynare pushed herself against Julian as she asked. "Oh? And is that a bad thing?"

Julian pluckered his lips as he thought that even if she wasn't really a smart girl, Raynare was pretty clever. At least her centuries of living wasn't totally wasted on her.

Unfortunately, she wasn't dealing with Issei. "No, but tell me. Now that you teached me how to use my holy power. Besides your body, what could you possibly bring to this relationship?"

Ah yes... The famous question every modern man was beginning to ask themselve before a relationship. Wait no, it was still the simp and beta era. The sigma era was still a decade away.

Nonetheless, the expression of pure bitterness and astonishement appearing on her face was enough to bring a genuine smile to Julian's face.

Of course, he was lying. A prodigy like him didn't need any help from anybody to achieve his goals. Aside perhaps from an omniscient goddess of death.

Besides, it wasn't even what he was seeking in a relationship.

As he thought about romantic love, the brief figure of two girls appeared in his mind. But Julian just shook his head under the curious gaze of Raynare in the end.

'What nonsense.' Was Julian only thought about it.

—————

As he found himself in front of Kuoh. Julian had the impression that it was a lifetime away since the last time his feet had walked upon this sacred land.

But really, it had only around a week all in all.

Julian rose a brows as he could feel himself being monitored by multiple presences.

A bat. A catgirl. And a blond haired ikemen that would look average put beside Julian.

They thought they were being pretty sneaky acting in the shadows and all. But really, compared to Elsa who could totally erase her presence without even using magic they were as obvious as Raynare's attempts to flirt with him. Meaning, not hidden at all.

As he arrived in his class and saw Issei. Julian took his seat and frowned a bit as he felt that he already became a devil.

Issei, as for himself. Waved enthousiastly at Julian as he greeted him in a good mood. "Yo! I see that you finally decided to come back to school."

"Well, you know. I only left school to leave you a bit of alone time with your girlfriend, don't you remember? And with what happened yesterday, It's not neccessary anymore is it?" Julian didn't hesitate in the least to stab his friend mercilessly in the chest.

Not letting Issei the time to answer, Julian made his dissatisfaction clear by asking in a sharp tone. "And you, how did your time with one of the school great Onee-Sama went? Did she explain to you all you need to know about the supernatural world and your circumstances? At least, it seemed that it went pretty well. Given that you already accepted her deal. I think I need to have a small talk with her."

Issei cringed at Julian's assault, but firmed himself as he tried to deny him. "Things are not as you think they are. Just wait as someone is coming to take both of us to have a meeting with her soon."

Julian's body deflated as a deep sigh escaped his lips. "No, Issei. You're the one that don't understand. Whatever Rias offered you can't possibly be enough to have you in her peerage. You are way more valuable than you think you are. Either way, I'm pissed off because you were scammed. Even if not willingly."

Issei seemed to took offense with that. As he glared back at Julian and spat out. "Well, If you knew so much! Maybe you shouldn't have let someone else explain all of this bullshit to me! I was lost okay! I never wanted any of this supernatural bull to fall on my head like that! Compared to you. My best friend. Who ran of with my former girlfriend to do who know what and let me rot in the dark. And even if it was with self interest in mind. Rias and everybody else were nothing but helpful to me yesterday!" Issei bit his lips to restrain himself from saying anymore that would just be mean.

Julian was taken by surprise by the outburst. And as such stayed silent as he listened to his best friend pouring his heart out.

It didn't help that even if seemingly sounding a little ungrateful. Issei was totaly right.

As such, Julian seemingly froze with a blank look for a moment before he straightened up and became normal again. "You're absolutely right. I'm sorry, Issei."

And with the entirety of the class now gazing at them. Julian acted normal again, gazing forward and tapping on his desk with a finger.

Only, as some people began to gossip about the event and say shit. A deep chill passed trough them as they found themselves eyed by a seemingly bored looking Julian.

And with that, people found wise to stop talking about it and make it as if nothing ever happened.

Issei, finding that he shouldn't have bursted out like that on Julian. Tried to apologize and say that he was still on his side but couldn't as the teacher entered the classroom.

Pausing for a bit and weirded out by the strange atmosphere. The teacher shrugged and almost immediatly became depressed at the mere sight of Julian being back in his class.

—————

Julian really didn't care overall about the drama. He wronged his friend, acknowledged it and apologized. That was the best scenario.

Even if his annoyance with Rias was lessened to a degree, he still rather wanted to have some fucking words with her.

Big tittied aunty or not, she would be spanked like the fucking brat she was nonetheless if she did his bro dirty.

Julian paused his own thoughts as he found that spanking was a more and more common occurance in his thoughts process.

Was he perhaps developping a spanking fetish?

That was an abyss he wasn't ready to explore yet. Not with the kind of girls he met recently.

Julian shook his head rapidly as certain 'images' popped up in his head. Just in time for Yuuto Kiba to enter their classroom and demand both his and Issei presence.

Meanwhile Issei was still feeling bad for Julian as the first thing he wanted to do was to make sure both of them were okay.

It was a mystery if Issei would rather be proud of his friend if he ever learned what was happening in his head, or if he would cough out blood thinking that he felt guilty for him all along for nothing.
