Learning again

Before I could even blink I was transported into a dense green forest. Based on the temperature that seems like mid-seventies degrees in Fahrenheit, I would say it's probably a deciduous forest. Although the species may be different compared to earth. Temperature and the amount of sun would deduct whether I am either south of the equator or that it's summertime. The humidity is quite high which does not help me but I can confirm later I guess. I quickly looked around to see if there are any signs of civilization, but to no avail, I see none of that. Sigh... "Crap I forgot to ask how to check my status". Then a green colored translucent screen popped in front of me as I thought aloud.

At least my race is confirmed as my previous one. No job obviously because I am level one. At least I am the same age. One hundred experience to level up? Is that high or low not too sure. Well, my status is to be expected huh? I'm always tired. What is the plus for? I guess for the clothes that I am wearing. Wait can I check what my stats are individually? "Based on the knowledge it should be 'inspect'". {You have now learned a new skill: Inspection}. The description says it's a skill that almost every merchant has to see the value of his products and hence uses no mana. Well isn't that nice? The 'otherworldly track shoes' gives 3 agility. The 'otherworldly socks set' gives 1. that sucks. Why only one? The 'otherworldly pants' and 'otherworldly shirt' give me 1 strength each. That's cool and all but where do the other stats come from? Ohh the combined set gives a bonus 3 agility and 2 strength. I wonder how good it is compared to other gear? Probably not the best considering it's the starting set I get. It does not show the price it would sell for. Interesting. So it either can't be sold or the skill can't know the value of otherworldly sets I presume. I do have 5 skill points. I should put them into strength to balance out my base strength and agility.

I do not have any sort of weapon or tool that I can use. Is there a big stick I can use as a mace or sharpen tip for a spear? I think the spear is a better option with this relatively sharp rock over there. Time to find a good stick. Ah, this one is pretty good although it has many branches off the sides. I can snap those off. I soon have a long stick with a few stubs on the side and begin working on the end for a decent spear. As I am about to finish a new message appears. {You have learned a new skill: Weapon Crafting (Level 1) } Neat. Wait so there are different levels of mastery? Lots of questions I already know the answer to. I would like to utilize some of the skills I have already learned from my previous world. That will have to come later.

I suddenly hear groans and gurgles off in the distance. Me knowing it's some kind of monster that would help me raise my level a few, I walk towards it. I peek from behind a tree with my spear in hand to see humanoid two creatures with green skin and tattered cloth clothing. Presumably goblins. Seeing as there are only two I would think they are scouts. I used to inspect and find out they are in fact goblin scouts, with levels 5 and 6 respectively. With my current strength and bonuses, I should be able to handle them. I hope at least or this will be an embarrassing start to my story if it ends so quickly. I creep towards them in an army crawl and suddenly a window pops up. {You have learned a new skill: Stealth (level 1) } Well thanks now I feel like a stalker. I do not have a small body. Me being 6 foot and almost 200 pounds do not help with me creeping upon them, but when I used the skill it made me feel much more stealthy. I am now within range of the goblins and my spear. About 4 feet in between us. I jump out and stab the one on the right, level 6 goblin, through the back of the head going through the front. The other one startled begins to run. Not if I have anything to do with it. I pull my spear from the first and throw it, as I did in track, straight into the back of the other one piercing the heart. The body squirming and making some noise as it bleeds to death.

Although I am not really affected by this, it's still the death of another living organism. {You killed goblin x2 ( 351 xp) } Well that is a lot of experience. {You have leveled up} {You have leveled up} That's amazing! I open my stats to see all stats got raised by 2 and I get a bonus 10 to distribute myself. I put 6 into strength and 4 into agility to try and balance it best as possible. Trying to go for an assassin or swordsman build. Would my sense be involved with that as well then? The needed amount for level 4 is 300 so I may have to do a bit of grinding to get my level up, but I am well on my way. Can you tell that I am having some fun rather than being in my other world doing nothing productive? The last interaction I had with the spirit or god, I do not know if I should be happy or worried about what's to come.
