Chapter 69: A dinner at Sawamura Spencer Mansion

"Seiya-kun, it has been so long since I last saw you~."

It was the voice of a dark hair woman named Sayuri Sawamura. She had dark purple hair tied in a twin tail and dark eyes. She was Eriri's mother and a typical housewife. If not for her clear status, one could tell that she was Eriri's twin sister.

"Yes, I still remember when you were little. You used to visit with your family."

It was Jason Spencer, a British diplomat, and Eriri's father. He had blond hair and blue eyes just like Eriri.

"Ah, I think it has been 6 years. I still remember when Eriri used to nag me to play video games. I didn't even know the existence of games before." Seiya chuckled and winked at Eriri sitting beside him.

"Chotto! We are not here to recall childhood memories!" Eriri blushed as she recalled her faint memories. There was also one time when Seiya accidentally saw her naked while taking the bath. Although they were just children, she still gets embarrassed when she recalled those memories.

Seiya came to Spencer Mansion to discuss the business. He recalled Jason Spencer as a genuine otaku from his predecessor's memories. He even heard in anime that both of her parents were otaku.

Seiya then explained the situation of Amagi Brilliant Park. He also described the infrastructure of Amagi Stadium. Although it was constructed for sports purposes, it was fairly big that it can also be used as a gathering place.

He was not sure that he would attract equal people in the upcoming week so he wants this comic event as an assurance to support this goal.

Jason also agreed to support the idea. He would send an inspecting team to assess the avenue and then write the official contract.

Sayuri and Eriri also participated in the conversation. Especially Eriri who looked so excited when explaining what Seiya has been doing. She also greatly gave credit to Seiya as he helped her improve her art.

"By the way Seiya-kun, what is your father doing? I met him when he went overseas but after he returned he hasn't contacted me?"

Seiya remembered that his father Shido and Eriri's parents were close friends from their school days.

"Oh, he has been managing some websites like usual…"

To be honest, Seiya didn't know what his father was doing. He was so busy with the park and activities that he barely had any time to spare with others. The last time he checked, he was chasing a woman but hadn't heard any lead.

"By the way… how did you guys get closer? I mean… my father is normie, right?" Seiya asked.

As far as he remembered, Shido was only interested in photographing. Just because of Seiya's weird behavior, he could only manage work from home.

Eriri was also curious. Even after what Seiya did to Eriri, Seiya's father remained on friendly terms with them.

"Actually…" Jason scratched his cheek and smiled wryly.

"Hehe, let me tell. Seiya-kun, actually your father and I dated for a while when we were in 2nd grade of our high school." Sayuri answered.

"Really?!" Both Seiya and Eriri were shocked. So they were that close?!

According to Seiya, his father was never fond of dating or confessing love. His parents' marriage was also just held on contract. He didn't remember his parent's actual relationship but as far he knows there was not a single shred of love between his parents or at least his mother's side as she was very self-centered.

"Then…"

"Well we were good at first but then he found out that I am an otaku girl."

That shouldn't be a reason was their breakup. Shido doesn't detest otaku culture. In fact, he likes reading some light novels.

"That was not a problem. Actually, I am fujoshi."

"Fujoshi?"

"I like BL."

"Arg fu*king hell!!!"

Seiya immediately groaned.

"Hehe, that was your father's reaction. You two both have the same dislikes." Sayuri chuckled.

Of course, Seiya hates BL. He loathes anything related to gay with passion.

"It was the same time I also transferred to a school in Japan. I was already an otaku so marrying Sayuri was like my dream come true." Jason added.

"Ara~ stop now, honey. Don't say that in front of children."

"It was true though."

And they entered their zone leaving two high schoolers baffled.

"Can you don't do that here?! We have a guest!" Eriri stood as her face was flustered red. She wanted to appear like a lady of a dignified family in front of Seiya but her parents already started flirting. It was too much cringe.

However, they then noticed Seiya who had this sad but calm smile.

"Ironic. I always wanted my parents to at least act affectionately but I have never seen them doing anything close." Seiya mumbled and then smiled, "Apologies for bringing my own problem."

To be honest, he still wanted his father to live a better life. He didn't have any problem if Shido marries someone. It's just that he was too busy to think about anything else.

Jason and Sayuri looked at each other and smiled.

"Seiya-kun, we don't have much right to interfere in personal matters but you can count on us if you need help." Jason smiled.

"Same here. In fact, you can call me mother-in-law~." Sayuri smiled.

"Wait! Mama!!!" Eriri was now beat red. Just what the hell is wrong with her parents?!! Just when her senpai was about to share his sensitive side, they had to ruin it like a certain black belly girl.

All of them then laughed. Sayuri then took Eriri to the kitchen to place dishes leaving both men alone.

"Seiya-san, I am sure that you have noticed that it was Eriri who asked for me to make conduct such an event, right?" Jason asked.

"Yes. I am aware." Although he didn't say it out loud, it must be Eriri who came up with the idea. Both of her parents had no contract with Seiya and only Eriri knew about Seiya's reason for being the manager of Amaburi.

"In the past, she was always worried about her drawings but then she changed. Not only did her art become better but she also became an official illustrator. It did surprise me when she came to be begging to help you. She never interfered with any business outside her hobby but now she seems like growing mature."

"Mr. Spencer, what are you trying to imply?" Seiya raised his brow.

"Nothing. I am just glad that you have changed into a better person. I just hope that you correct your relationship with my daughter. I won't pry on past grieves as you were also in a hard situation but my daughter is still unaware."

Seiya smiled and nodded. He is a good man. Jason knew that Seiya was not dense unlike Eriri's other friend Tomoya and is better at taking the responsibilities. Seiya knew that Jason had blind trust in him because of Jason's relationship with his father however; Seiya doesn't have any intention of rebelling against it.

He knew that Eriri has some feelings for him but he simply didn't know how to approach it. Unlike Isuzu and Latifa, Seiya didn't intentionally flirt with Eriri. He simply doesn't know how to handle tsundere. In short, he doesn't have any plans to pursue Eriri. If push comes to shove, he will talk to her and sort out matters peacefully.

"But are you sure that I should chase your daughter? I already have a girlfriend, you know." Seiya smirked. In fact, he now has two girlfriends.

"I never said that- wait what? When and how?!" Jason was shocked.

Now Seiya knew where Eriri's temper came from.

They then had dinner where Seiya shared his ambitions and his need to make his own business. He took the job for the same purpose so that he could start making his own company.

Since they had late business to attend, Sayuri and Jason left the mansion.

Eriri looked like she wanted Seiya to stay a little longer so he decided to spend some time. He also wanted to relax and there was no better place to find some good cultured books than Eriri's collection.

However, Eriri asked him to play an otome game with him. The name was "A Little Love Rhapsody". Seiya remembered playing it with Eriri and also Tomoya in past. It had such a nostalgic feeling.

"This is so good…" At the end of the game, Seiya was in tears. Although it was an otome game, it had the same story writing structure as Clannad. It was one of few video games that can be called a masterpiece.

Eriri was also in tears but her smile could tell that she was happier to play it with Seiya.

"I thought you hate this kind of stuff," Eriri asked. It was not yaoi but the genre was not something that Seiya would like. Although he hates that kind of stuff, she didn't know why his relationship with Shiro kind of looked odd.

Plus, as far as she remembers, Seiya hates visual novels.

"But the story is great. The main male lead is also like me."

"Because he is a narcissist?"

"Humph." He can't deny that. He then looked at Eriri as he noticed that she had her hair untied and she was also wearing her glasses. She was still in her formal dress though. She was a genuine beauty and in school, she was a proudful ojou-sama. He remembers seeing some boys confessing to her a week ago.

"You look good in glasses you know. A pigtail would good too." Seiya said as he tilted her bang behind her ear.

"Whaa! What was that for?!" Eriri blushed. It came out of nowhere and that took her in surprise.

She then composed herself and folded her arms but her face remained red.

"Humph. I would look like a nerd."

"As if."

"Why do you think so?"

"Because it is the opinion of a super handsome boy like me. If I say you look good in something then you will. Others opinion doesn't matter." Seiya said and flipped his hair.

Eriri then took a deep breath and sighed, "Look senpai, it might be easy for you to ignore others' opinions but not everyone could do that. For a person who runs a circle, others' opinions matter."

"Is it because others will ostracize you?" Seiya raised his brow.

Eriri didn't say anything. First Seiya betrayed her when she was not ashamed to draw anime characters then she did the same with Tomoya in past. Because of this, she had to do a lot of effort just to adjust in the circle. Of course, she doesn't want to blame Seiya as she had just built her trust.

Seiya might have understood her if not for his sudden change and his immense talent. She can't reveal that she is an otaku. She has experienced the life of a nerd once so she didn't want to be left alone again.

"Trend, fashion, and circles always have one king and in our high school, that king is me." Seiya smirked and then patted Eriri's head, "You are just insecure because people will leave you alone or hurt you but you are wrong. You are Seiya Kanie's friend and there is not a single person who could hurt you."

Eriri widened her eyes but then a smile curved on her lips. "Thanks, Seiya-senpai."

Seiya smiled and nodded, "Oh, by the way, do you have some doujin to recommend for role play, nurse, teacher or even next door milf would work too. Actually, Utaha has been nagging me for sex and I want some fun so…"

Eriri was speechless.

"…On second thought, please fu*k off, senpai."
