Shikaku's Family.

After some time of walking with the father son duo of Shikaku and Shikamaru, we arrived at Shikaku's house.

When I entered, I heard a eerily loud and stinging voice, "Shikaku! Shikamaru! Where were you both?! You are half an hour late!" I recognized the source of this voice as Yoshino.

Yoshino was standing in front with a livid expression, upon seeing me, her rage died down and she quickly questioned Shikaku about who I was as she came forward and started ruffling my hair, "Who is this little cuttie? I feel like I've seen him before!"

Shikaku chuckled and Shikamaru cringed looking at me being attacked by his mother, "That's Kai, remember the kid I told you was one of our most talented upcoming ninjas. The one you thought was very cute when we visited the orphanage four years ago."

As Yoshino continued to ruffle my hair, I tried my best to maintain my composure, feeling a bit like a pet being inspected by its owner. Shikaku and Shikamaru exchanged amused glances, clearly enjoying the scene unfolding before them.

"Mom, you're embarrassing him," Shikamaru groaned, trying to rescue me from Yoshino's overzealous affection.

Yoshino ignored her son's protest and continued fussing over me. "Oh, but he's just so adorable! Look at those cheeks!"

Shikaku stepped in, trying to divert Yoshino's attention. "Alright, alright, let the poor boy breathe, Yoshino. He's not a plush toy."

Yoshino finally relented and turned her attention to preparing dinner, bustling around the kitchen with impressive efficiency. Shikaku gestured for me to sit down at the table with them, and I gladly obliged, eager to escape Yoshino's clutches.

As we sat down, Shikamaru shot me a sympathetic look, clearly understanding the trials of dealing with his mother's affectionate antics. "Welcome to dinner at the Nara household," he whispered with a wry smile.

I couldn't help but chuckle, grateful for Shikamaru's understanding. Little did I know, the real comedy was just beginning.

As Yoshino served the food, she launched into a lively conversation, regaling us with stories of her day and peppering Shikaku and Shikamaru with questions about their missions and training. In between bites, I couldn't help but marvel at Yoshino's ability to multitask, effortlessly balancing cooking and conversation.

Suddenly, Yoshino turned to me, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "So, Kai, tell us about your training! Shikaku speaks highly of you."

Caught off guard, I fumbled for words, unsure of how to respond to the unexpected attention. Shikaku and Shikamaru exchanged amused glances.

"Nothing, just simple physical conditioning exercises which my body can handle." I replied nonchalantly-

"You didn't mention chakra control exercises." Said Shikaku.

"Well I just learned how to get access to my chakra today, so i didn't mention it. But if you want, you can include that in my training." I said.

Shikaku raised an eyebrow, impressed. "Accessing your chakra on your first day? That's quite the feat, Kai. Looks like we've got a natural talent on our hands."

Shikaku nodded in agreement, "Yeah, not everyone picks it up that quickly. You might just give someone like me a run for his money when you grow upwith the potential you are showing. You might even get as strong as the Hokage and the brat Kakashi." Said Shikaku and getting a bit angry upon mentioning the name Kakashi, he really hated that brat because of his tendency of being late. Who arrives on a important meeting held between the clan heads of the main clans of Konoha 1 and a half hour after the designated time?! How is someone like that one of the strongest shinobi in the whole world?

Yoshino chimed in, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Well, if you're starting to learn about chakra, then I'll have to make sure you're well-fed. Chakra control requires plenty of energy, you know!"

With a mischievous glint in her eye, Yoshino began piling my plate with generous servings of food, insisting that chakra control required ample sustenance. Shikaku and Shikamaru exchanged knowing looks, clearly amused by Yoshino's determination to feed me up.

As I dug into the delicious meal, Yoshino kept a watchful eye on my plate, ready to refill it at a moment's notice. "Eat up, Kai," she urged with a smile. "We need to make sure you're fueled up for your training."

I was with Shikamaru sitting outside the house on the wooden platform while Shikaku was inside the house helping Yoshino with the dishes.

As for why the Clan head was cleaning the dishes was because he said "No Shit." While we were having dinner, Yoshino had punched him saying that he should not use such words in front of children and said that he will have to wash the dishes, Shikaku complied weakly without any protest.

What a pathetic man, kneeling down infront of his wife and listening to her words like a dog. Truly pathetic.

As Shikamaru and I sat outside, enjoying the cool evening breeze, I couldn't help but chuckle at the scene unfolding inside. Shikaku, the formidable clan head, reduced to washing dishes under Yoshino's watchful eye. It was a sight I never thought I'd witness.

Shikamaru glanced at me with a smirk, clearly amused by his father's predicament. "Looks like Dad's in for it tonight," he remarked, shaking his head in mock sympathy.

I couldn't help but chuckle, finding it hard to believe that the stoic Shikaku could be so easily swayed by Yoshino's commands.

Just then, we heard Yoshino's voice drifting out from the kitchen, her tone firm but affectionate. "Shikaku, make sure you scrub those dishes properly. I don't want to see any leftover food stuck to them!"

Shikamaru and I exchanged amused glances, knowing that Shikaku was in for a thorough inspection of his dishwashing skills. "Poor Dad," Shikamaru muttered, shaking his head with a grin.

I shook my head in disappointment. I was disappointed thoroughly in Shikaku, despite being the man of the house, he lets his wife order him around like a bitch. Had it been me, I would've silenced the woman and would have taught her discipline and how one talks to their husband.

A man being order around by women and taking their insults and letting them hit him is truly disgraceful.

-10 Respect for Shikaku from my side.

As Shikamaru and I sat outside, reveling in the evening breeze, I couldn't help but overhear Yoshino's instructions echoing from the kitchen. With each command, Shikaku's once formidable aura seemed to diminish, replaced by an air of resignation.

Shikamaru glanced at me with a smirk, clearly amused by his father's plight. "Looks like Dad's really whipped," he remarked, unable to contain his laughter.

I nodded, unable to hide my disappointment. "Yeah, it's like watching a ninja warrior being brought to his knees by a nagging wife," I said, earning a snort of laughter from Shikamaru.

Just then, Yoshino's voice rang out once again, this time with even more intensity. "Shikaku, I said scrub those dishes properly! I won't tolerate any half-hearted attempts!"

Shikamaru and I exchanged incredulous glances, barely able to contain our laughter. "Poor Dad," Shikamaru muttered between giggles. "Looks like he's in for a long night."

As Shikamaru and I sat outside, Shikaku joined us, carrying the weight of his earlier dishwashing ordeal. His presence only added to the tension as Yoshino's voice continued to echo from inside the house.

Shikamaru pulled out a shogi board, breaking the silence with a proposal. "Wanna play Shogi?" he offered, trying to divert our attention.

I nodded, curious to learn the game. Shikamaru patiently explained the rules, and within minutes, we were engaged in a strategic battle of wits.

Shikaku observed quietly, his expression unreadable. But as the game progressed, and I made moves that surprised even Shikamaru, his demeanor shifted from passive observer to shocked admiration.

"Bruh, he's legit a mini version of Kakashi," Shikaku whispered to Yoshino, who had joined us along the way, unable to contain his astonishment.

With each calculated move, I gained confidence, earning surprised looks from both Shikamaru and Shikaku. But just as victory seemed within reach, the game ended in an unexpected draw.

Shikaku's face morphed into disbelief and he exclaimed, "It's a actual draw! No way this kid just pulled a draw against Shika on his first day! Even if he was being lazy this kid is on par with Shika! Holy fu-"

Yoshino's swift punch to Shikaku's gut silenced him mid-sentence. "Language, Shikaku!" she scolded, her maternal instincts kicking in even amidst the excitement.

Shikamaru stared at the board in disbelief, "No way. I must've made a mistake."

I heard a small crunching sound as I turned to my left and saw a deer coming out of the forest connected to Shikaku's home, the sound came from the small branch it stepped.

As the deer emerged from the forest, its sudden appearance caught us all by surprise. Shikamaru's eyes widened, and he leaned forward, studying the animal with curiosity.

"Hey, look at that," he murmured, pointing towards the deer. "I've never seen one come this close to the house before."

Shikaku's expression softened as he watched the graceful creature cautiously approach us. "They're rare visitors around here," he remarked, his earlier tension momentarily forgotten.

Yoshino's eyes lit up with excitement as she joined in, her voice filled with wonder. "They're such majestic creatures, aren't they? So graceful and serene."

I nodded in agreement, marveling at the unexpected beauty of nature unfolding before us. The deer seemed unperturbed by our presence, its gentle gaze fixed on us as if assessing whether we posed any threat.

Shikamaru gestured towards the deer, a playful grin spreading across his face. "Maybe it wants to join us for a game of Shogi," he joked, earning a chuckle from Yoshino.

The deer drew closer, its curiosity piqued by our conversation.

Shikaku reached out a hand, extending an open palm towards the deer in a gesture of friendship. To my surprise, the deer responded, stepping forward and nuzzling Shikaku's hand with its velvety nose.

"Deers are quite common in the forest in our compound, they can be seen near lakes and the forest, sometimes they even come out and walk around the forest. Although not unheard of, deers rarely approach houses, it only happened at this house and the houses of the elders since these are the only ones connected with the forest. We, the Nara, take care of the deers in the forest and maintain the population and tend to them when they are sick or injured. They are the friend of the Nara. I suppose you didn't know of this since you didn't have anyone to tell this to you. Only parents and children go to the forest, no one really has the time in the orphanage to take the children to the forest and they can't be sent alone either. I and Shikamaru have helped and played with many deers." Said Shikaku.

Yoshino extended her hand towards the deer and it came near her and sniffed her, "I, Myself. Have had many encounters with deers." When she finished her words, the deer bit her hand, hard.

For a moment everyone stayed quiet as Yoshino's eyes widened.

Then, "AHHHHHHH!" She screamed as she pulled her hand, her hand had a big red bite mark. "AHHHHH! Why did you bite me?!" She screamed holding her hand.

Shikamaru bursted into laughter and i and Shikaku chuckled.

Shikaku looked at the deer and saw a small scar behind it's ear, "Wait! Yoshino! This is the deer whose tail you stepped on! I still remember how it headbutted you! Hahahahah! I remember this mark behind it's ear, you stepped on its tail while trying to tend to it. It was around four or five months ago I think. Guess this deer still remembered you." Shikaku said while laughing.

Yoshino glared at Shikamaru and Shikaku and then at the deer, "I take back my words! You are the worst of them all! You are a demon! First you headbutted me while I was trying to help you and now you bit me! That's not graceful at all! Get it out of here, Shikaku!" Yoshino yelled as she went back into the house and ordered Shikaku.

Shikaku chuckled and stood up and led the deer back into the forest. After he returned, he looked at me and said, "Come Kai, I'll drop you off to the orphanage."

I nodded and stood up.

Shikamaru looked at me and said, "Cya. Come again, it was fun to have you here. Even though you mostly remained silent and looked at me with a face those Uchiha have."

I turned back and merely nodded and followed Shikaku.
