140 Gotham

Jack's impressive 50,000 contribution points were like golden tickets in a treasure hunt, unlocking a world of knowledge and magical prowess. With the speed of thought and an intellect that could rival the greatest minds, Jack delved into the vast sea of information, making the unimaginable his reality.

In just a month, Jack devoured the history of an ancient organization and a myriad of books, conducting experiments that yielded truly gratifying results. A radiant ball of light materialized in Jack's hand, unveiling his groundbreaking creation - the [Lighting Technique]! This magical marvel marked the genesis of Jack's wizardry journey, and he proudly declared, "I am a magician!"

Armed with the holy light special effect of illumination, Jack envisioned a future where he could vanquish foes with a grand sword, the epitome of a true magician. Undaunted by the initial challenges, Jack believed in his capacity to birth even more magical wonders in the future.

With newfound wisdom and accomplishments, Jack bid farewell to the world of "Now You See Me" and embarked on a journey to the next world. Aware that the key to unlocking his utmost potential lay in a new profession, Jack harnessed the power to traverse worlds.

As the stars danced in the celestial tapestry, Jack awaited the cosmic hand to guide him to his next destination.

It was still the same, the stars in the sky seemed to be stirred by a big hand, and then, a star leaked out and came to Jack.   Immediately afterwards, the blooming starlight enveloped Jack.

Jack: "..."

In the world of assassins, he embodied Sloan. In the realm of thieves, he assumed the guise of Bradley. Now, in the impending world of Batman and the Dark Knight, Jack found himself facing a familiar figure - Lucius Fox. A mischievous grin crossed Jack's face as he couldn't help but poke fun at the recurring character encounters.

"Wow!" Jack marveled at the coincidence, contemplating the intricate threads of fate that seemed to weave through each world. Morgan Freeman, in particular, seemed to be inescapably linked to Jack's adventures.

Undeterred by the whims of fate, Jack turned his attention to the array of professions before him. Opting for excitement over monotony, he chose the most challenging path available in the gritty streets of Gotham - the police force. Not the FBI, not the CIA, not the IRS. In a city teeming with shadows and secrets, Jack was set to confront the most challenging profession of all - a guardian of justice in the heart of Gotham's chaos.

GCPD, or the Gotham City Police Department, might be the official law enforcers of Gotham City, but in reality, they're more like a facade. Corruption taints their ranks, and their law enforcement power is feeble, often turning a blind eye to the criminal underworld that thrives within the city's shadows. It's a challenging career choice, but Jack, seeking excitement and change, embraced the role.

As Jack delved into the intricacies of his newfound profession, he stumbled upon an unexpected revelation. The ability to choose a specific time node during his time travel escapades intrigued him. "Is this world unique, or does the future remain constant?" Jack pondered, unable to discern any clues. With a shrug, he set aside the mystery, resolving to discover the truth in the next world.

With a sense of anticipation, Jack selected a time node that strategically bypassed the era of Batman's vigilantism. He landed in Gotham a week before Bruce Wayne would officially don the cape and cowl. Choosing a more immediate timeframe was crucial for Jack, fearing that his penchant for chaotic exploits could wreak havoc if given too much time.

Jack smirked at the thought of the potential chaos he could unleash upon Gotham. In just a month, the city could be unrecognizable, and in a year, it might transform into a model metropolis. Yet, Jack was no fool. He wouldn't undertake such endeavors without ample benefits. His plan involved using Bruce Wayne as a pawn to stir up some trouble.

The chosen location placed Jack on a dimly lit street near the police station. The night sky brooded with thick clouds, casting an eerie glow over the Gothic architecture. Beneath the glamorous exterior, Gotham's alleys concealed a cesspool of darkness and malevolence. It was a city with one of the highest crime rates in the United States, rivaled only by places like Central City or Star City – not that Jack cared to acknowledge it.

Lost in his musings, Jack half-consciously considered the intricacies of the "Dark Knight Trilogy" world. Was it truly disconnected from the DC main universe? His thoughts were abruptly interrupted, leaving him hanging in suspense. The enigmatic world of Gotham awaited Jack's unique brand of chaos and, perhaps, a touch of unexpected heroism.
