2 Chapter 1

Kuoh Town. A small but beautiful piece of land in Japan with many kind and considerate people. It was a very nice place to live in…

IF IT WASN'T ABOUT TO BECOME A HOTSPOT FOR SUPERNATURAL COLD WAR!

Ok, ok. I'm cool, I'm cool. Cool as a cucumber. There isn't much to fear, I just became a gamer. Just need to prepare and then I can deal with any of the shits this world will throw at me. These were my thoughts as I pinched the bridge of my nose. Though…

Was my grip always this strong? I felt like I was about to break my nose when I pinched the bridge of it.

As I looked around I realized that I was in a typical teenagers room. Well more like a typical teenager's room as their parents would want it. Everything was tidy; the bed, the shelves, the desk, everything.

But what mattered to me was the full body mirror on the closet, to see how I looked. And, at the risk of sounding narcissistic, I looked damn good.

My skin was tanned, like Sun had always been a part of my life and my hair was a healthy shade of reddish brown. And my body was built of muscles. A perfect mix between a swimmer build and a bodybuilder build. Muscular but definitely not to a unhealthy degree.

As expected of… of… of… of?

What is my name anyway?

{Oh almost forgot about that. Backstory downloading.}

And then there was pain. Well more like a headache. Guess [Gamer's Mind] is pretty damn useful.

My name is Cyrus Samson, a transfer student to Kuoh Academy from America. What kind of American names their son Cyrus though? And apparently I was the descendant of Samson, the biblical Hercules who wrestled with lions in his free time with his bare hands. Which explained my stats.

[Cyrus Samson

Level-1

HP-100

MP-200

Strength-60

Endurance-60

Agility-60

Intelligence-20

Wisdom-20

Luck-22]

{Just for your information, a regular teenager human who regularly exercises would have roughly ten in their physical stats if they had a game.}

And being Samson's descendant made mine soar to six times of that. Though why was my luck so average? Wasn't I supposed to be Lady Luck's Love Child?

{Your perk only works for drops gacha rolls and other games. In normal life you are just slightly luckier than a normal person.}

I could live with that. Now how to learn what I can do.

{Instant Dungeon Series[Undead] is available.}

That was fast, I had a really dependable system didn't I.

{+3 affection from Game System[3/100] for understanding how great it is.}

Well wasn't it humble now… anyway Instant Dungeon time.

The dungeon was… adequate I guess. Sure it wasn't bad but dark air, gloomy looking caves around and grayish grass. It screamed cliche undead world. And then came a zombie.

A slowly walking flesh puppet. It was humanoid sure, but patches of skin had fallen off, revealing muscle fibers in certain areas and bones in others. A punch to the head was all it took to defeat him.

The moment my fist met the monster's face, a wet crunching sound entered my ears and then flesh teared apart and zombie's head flew off.

{You have defeated your first enemy. Drop: [Low Level potion]}

Why the hell did a zombie have potion?

As I looked down at the gross flesh that had stuck to my knuckles, I decided to find a way other than punching to take down zombies. And then System came to my rescue with options.

[Strike Rune]

{A rune of physical attacks. Deals bludgeoning damage to enemies. Cost: 10 MP}

[Sun Shine]

{A holy aura of light around the user that hurts beings who are weak to light. Cost: 2 MP per second.}

[Fire Ball]

{An AoE type of fire attack in shape of a sphere that will explode when it connects with target. Cost: 20 MP}

Hehe, time to grind.

@Several Hours Later@

Level 34. That is the level I reached before I was too tired mentally. But I was happy, I had gained some good loot of many potions, small chests and a Gacha token. A currency that would randomly bring an item from the multiverse. But what truly made me happy though was the fact that [Rune Mage] had gone from Beginner to Adept. Though the game claimed that next phases would be harder to achieve much like levels. I also learned that [Sun Monarch] gave me access to different classes. Currently I had [Pyromancer] and [Photomancy] and I would get other Sun related classes as [Sun Monarch]'s proficiency increased which required all sub classes to reach the next proficiency. Something that already was on it's way as [Pyromancer] was already raised to Adept.

Now, I had a different problem. A problem that I thought that I had dealt with years ago in my past life.

I had to go to school.

As I finally reached the doors of my soon to be residence of torment, I saw people I would rather not see for a while. A girl with short bob cut haired girl with violet eyes and glasses. And another girl also with glasses but with hair that reached her knees and had a… more endowed chest compared to the girl next to her.

{Sona Sitri: Low High Class devil. Heiress of the Sitri clan. She has issues with her 'assets' being unimpressive compared to her friends and sister.}

{Shinra Tsubaki: Mid Middle Class devil. Queen of Sona Sitri's peerage. Likes men younger than her.}

Huh. So the game also gives some random info along with who they are. Or it's making fun of them. Though where are their levels?

{You are the only gamer in this multiverse. Level is something that gamers use to keep track of their progress. Everyone else are shown their power through the systems of their world.}

Reasonable, if a bit inconvenient. How am I supposed to know where I stand now?

"Samson-san, I presume." Sitri heiress said as she pushed her glasses up to her nose with her middle and ring fingers.

"Yes but please call me Cyrus. Samson just doesn't sound right to me." I grimaced. The culture of Japan meant using one's first name would be inappropriate for people who didn't know each other well but the westerner inside me would always look around for my father if someone called me by my surname.

"Very well, Cyrus-san." for some reason that 'San' still remained but he would take some small victories.

"I am Shitori Souna, the student council president of Kuoh Academy. I am here to welcome you to our school." The young heiress made a small bow along with her servant. Trying to look welcoming.

And seriously, to welcome me? That sounded like such a cheap excuse that I could probably buy it for ten yen.

"I am thankful, Shitori-san." I answered with a smile as I nodded at her.

"You will be a part of the second year class A, Tsubaki here will guide you there." She gestured to the long haired beauty beside her, who just nodded and started to walk towards the class.

Throughout the walk Tsubaki droned on about the history of the school, rules and possible clubs that I could join while I was tugging at the collar of the school uniform and wonder what kind of moron designed these clothes. The female uniform was fine with the low skirt and frame hugging shirt but the male uniform made one look like a dweeb through and through.

"Aikuro sensei, I brought the transfer student." We're here?

"Ahh yes, Samson Cyrus was it?" The teacher looked like he was about to fall asleep, what kind of teachers they hire here? "Please introduce yourself, Samson-kun." Didn't you just… ah what the hell.

"My name is Cyrus Samson, Samson Cyrus by your language. Please take care of me." I ended with a low bow. This was how a Japanese student was supposed to introduce themselves, right?

"DAMN IT NOT ANOTHER PRETTY BOY!" Three different boys screamed out in perfect sync and I am pretty sure that's not how a Japanese student was supposed to react.
