Princess Margaret has everything she needs to become a goddess but has not been promoted yet because I ordered her not to.

Princess Margaret:"So you finally decided to go back on your word?" she said while glaring at me

Me:"Of course not you are the key to all of this I need you to become a goddess just not yet otherwise what was the point of having you absorb all that faith in the first place?"

Princess Margaret:"Then when will you let me ascend? I could cut them off from the world they would be forced to flee"

Me:"Why would I ever want that? No I don't want them gone infact I want them to stay!"

Princess Margaret:"Why I don't understand what do you gain from that?!"

Me:"If I was a good spirit their defeat would be enough but I am not good I am petty, I am vindictive and most importantly I am evil these gods have been taking from my plate for thousands of years and now you want them to leave without paying the bill?"

Princess Margaret:"You weren't alive when they conquered humanity how can they have stolen from you?"

Me:"BECAUSE IT WAS ALWAYS MINE! The world just didn't know it. Why else would I help you become a goddess it is because YOU BELONG TO ME! It's the same with Anastasia. Now the gods have been stealing from me and now they must pay! NO ONE CAN TAKE WHAT IS MINE!

Princess Margaret takes a few steps back seeing the insanity

In order to catch the gods in one fell swoop I let slip that I am transporting a relic filled with faith to Princess Margaret that it will be the final key to her ascension of course I don't expect the gods to be the only ones to act on this information and this will put her at great risk it is a risk I am willing for her to take (not me of course) in the meantime I have taken the corpse of Cernunnos to help me take the next leap in becoming a high ranked spirit this Cernunnos was not like the one I met off world (that sad looking old man) he was purely a god of the hunt but even though his divinity was gone his body was perfect material to use along with the shattered spirit altar I got before if I was just content being a greater spirit that is where Ed's second gift comes in (rep of the Barnabas family) a spirit lantern containing thirteen evil spirits.

The reason I needed those spirits is that I need them to become a spirit lord if I only take the power from the corpse I could become a greater spirit but without vassal spirits I couldn't become a spirit lord (spirits don't choose to become nobility they literally evolve) if I tried to take them after I evolved as it is apparently impossible unless I do it at my current stage with minimum number of vassals being six the only other way to become one is to join another spirit's chain of dominance becoming forever branding subservience into your being as there was no way in hell that was happening this was my only option.
