Chapter 19 - Deal and Challenges

We finally sealed the deal, and Vishesh would be selling the paper exclusively within the kingdom. After the meeting, I decided to take a break. During this time, Rahul inquired why I didn't allow Danik Jagran to sell the paper outside the kingdom. I explained, "Paper is going to be one of the biggest assets for our kingdom. If I provide all the paper selling rights to a single company, it would create a monopoly."

Rahul nodded in understanding. At around 3:50 p.m., Mahipal, the Head of Business at Amar Ujaala, arrived at the palace. We had a similar deal with them, but their profit margin increased to 12% due to transportation costs. Despite the slight increase in profit, export taxes on paper were reduced by 3.6%. I chose Amar Ujaala as our export partner, entrusting them with promoting our country through word of mouth using their vendors.

Once all the meetings were concluded, the date and amount of the paper orders were finalized for both companies. Amar Ujaala received a larger quantity but at a later date, while Danik Jagran received a smaller quantity but first.

The launch of the new and affordable paper within the kingdom, directly from the Royal house, generated immense joy among citizens. They praised the king and me for this significant achievement. A week after the launch, the paper's quality and profitability shocked everyone, leading to increased happiness among the citizens. I announced a four-day leave and a bonus salary for all the workers to celebrate this success, following a principle from my previous life – keeping workers happy boosts efficiency and productivity.

Simultaneously, we initiated the export of paper outside our kingdom. Before the official launch, we created substantial hype throughout the kingdom with the help of Amar Ujaala's vendors. After around a month, the paper was distributed beyond our borders, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response. It sold well in every kingdom, regardless of religious differences, as our primary focus was on profit.

**6 Months Later**

As time passed, the paper business proved to be a massive success for the kingdom. Our economy doubled, experiencing a 100% increase in the country's treasury. The average spending money per citizen increased by 20 to 40 percent.

Within these six months, I initiated the setup of three more factories in the kingdom. Surprisingly, there was no opposition from nobles or locals, as the economic benefits were evident.

However, beneath the surface of apparent success, there were challenges.

After a month of my third factory's launch, I found myself alone outside the factory when suddenly, I was attacked by seven people dressed in black. Mistaking me for a worker in casual clothes, they demanded, "Tell us the secret of producing this high-quality paper, or we'll kill you."

Remaining calm, I asked, "Who sent you here?" Their displeasure was evident, and they were about to attack when I swiftly punched one person and took a sword from another, killing the person in front of me. The seven became six 😮😮. My demeanor turned serious, and I transformed into a formidable force.

I lunged forward, slashing my sword and killing two more assailants. I dodged a sword slash from behind, punched another, and swiftly moved to kill him. Only three were left, terrified, attempting to flee. However, I pursued them, killing two and apprehending one to gather information about the real instigator. Unfortunately, he chose to bite his teeth and consume venom, dying on the spot.

I sighed, "Well, that was too shallow. If you had to die, you could have told me. I wouldn't have jumped and slashed, just cut all your heads in a single strike."

Following this incident, security was heightened around all the factories, bringing a momentary sense of relief to our country.
