The Weakest Otherworlder

In a world where everyone was gifted an opportunity to devour everything in front of them, but what if that opportunity was out of reach? And suddenly a being that they called a God came down and gave everyone a spoon so they could reach them and devour them? Everyone devoured all those opportunities and satiated their greed. Power, wealth, you name it. But there was a person who could only watch those people satiating themselves with a spoonful of power and wealth. So, he prayed to that so-called God. "Please! Just give me an opportunity just like the others, God! Even if it's just a tiny bit! I would really appreciate it!" A young man with messy long gray hair asked God with tears in his eyes as he watched the people around him being killed by Otherworlders. [You have been chosen] [God has gifted you the power to devour all opportunities!] [Welcome, Candidate Alseace LaRoze] "You're kidding, right?" Alseace asked in a trembling voice and forced a smile as he stared at the ability God gave him. "What the fuck am I going to do with this?!" He shouted at God who gave him the ability and glared at the cloudy night. While everyone was given a normal spoon, Alseace LaRoze was given a spoon with a giant hole that even a grain of sand would be hard to pick off with it. Alseace chuckled in disbelief and started laughing as the people around him screamed in agony. "You gave me an ability called Leftover?! Don't joke around!" Alseace screamed his lungs out. [God gave you what you wished for, be grateful]

The Uneventful Life of Villager Z

In the world of Aetia, titles meant everything. From your bloodline down to your achievements, they dictate your value in the world. But a few decades ago, the world was suddenly enveloped with light and words began to float above everyone's heads. For many years, they tried to decipher what this phenomenon meant. Suddenly, a revelation came from the prophets of each church from all over Aetia saying that these formed words were gifts from the gods which dictated the 'predetermined destiny' of the gods bestowed on the holder. With that knowledge, in just the span of a few years, the whole of Aetia turned upside down. Nobles suddenly weren't nobles anymore. Commoners now held titles of Kings and Queens. Titles like 'Hero' and 'Heroine' emerged. 'Villain' and 'Demon King' had eventually followed suit. With these titles along with the gods' revelation, people set out to make their destinies come true and soon became the main characters of their own stories. But if you're here expecting to get to know another 'hero' or 'villain' then better close this book and find some other story. There are so many books about those heroes in this world that your eyes would rot if you even attempted to read even a quarter of their number. That's right, there's no hero in this book. This story is about me and me alone. The one and only villager Z. ∆ If anyone other than Villager Z is reading this, please respect the privacy of the owner and submit this book without opening it to the Lost & Found Section by the nearest stall of the Adstral Guild. Or if you are near Kiroth Town, please drop it off in front of the white door of the last house down the central road. ∆
