A Merchant in Trouble!

Ammon had always been that "guy". The typical salaryman whose life was a recurring event of working, playing video games, watching, and reading novels until he encountered truck-kun. Sent to the unknown world of Aslesia, Ammon had high hopes on the road to greatness. He was wrong. Aslesia was a world where systems and magic were a common thing. Vampires prowled the night and werewolves could be seen running in the forest, along with the elves. Dragons reigned the sky and sea monsters swam deep in the ocean. Name it, Aslesia had it. Ammon was quick to realize that he wasn't born as the MC in this world. He was but a side character — no, actually; he was simply a part of the background. Clear with his disposition, Ammon had to find a way to survive with all those facts laid on the table. If he couldn't become someone powerful with a system, or become a supreme mage, then he thought he'd chase after wealth at the very least. So, he opened a business! Bedo's Secret Shop. A shop that wouldn't be a secret. An establishment that was set to be recognized across Aslesia. A place where every powerful individual who was 'candidates for MC' in this world frequents during times of need. Little did Ammon know, the worst and best are yet to come. With the increasing popularity and success of his shop, Ammon found himself in a tricky predicament when a battle of who shall reign the land of Aslesia began. Stuck in the middle of the strongest people in Aslesia, Ammon had to sail on multiple boats, hedging his bets to keep his head from rolling. cover not mine. credits to the owner ****** Original story by alienfrommars Follow me on Instagram @authoralienfrommars Join my discord server: https://discord.gg/eu48Q5GmMz

This guy will cost a fortune

Two green orbs glowed over us as Bedo, the last stone titan, gazed down on us. When he opened his mouth, green shone from within. His yawn sounded like a gong, disturbing the silent fortress.

"What... is that...?" the man who was still sitting on me murmured, slacked jaw. He just sat there, frozen. Looking up at Bedo in both shock and amusement.

A cracking sound of stones grazing each other resounded as Bedo moved his gigantic arms, picking up the head of this lunatic in between his thumb and index. Bedo raised him up like an ant, staring at it curiously.

"Hey, Bro! Can you untie me?! Are you hurt?" I yelled while wriggling to free myself, but to no avail. These ropes surely just get tighter the more I tried to break away.

"Be --"

I gasped when my body left the ground, looking back only to see Bedo picking me up by the rope. "Hey, it hurts!"

"I — I'm sorry," came out a deep yet soft voice. Bedo's voice was an irony since it sounded tamed instead of intimidating.

A sigh slipped past my lips, noticing his nonexistent brows lowered. Bedo looked intimidating at first glance, but now that I got to know him, he was a pushover. I felt bad for him.

"It's alright. Just untie me and don't crush that freak's head! I will teach him a lesson!" I ground my teeth, casting a glare at the person in his other hand.

"Oh, alright." Bedo did as he was told. But to untie me with these gigantic fingers, he swung me up and down like a yo-yo.

"Wait — !" I felt slightly dizzy, but when I felt the tie loosen, I snapped my eyes open. It didn't take long when it all came loose, setting me free in the air.

"Finally!" the corner of my lips stretched from ear to ear, gazing down at the high altitude I was in. This didn't bother me, though. I could do this, at least.

After a few seconds, I landed on the ground safely. "Safe!" spreading my arm, wincing at the sudden pain in my shoulder. I glanced at my bleeding shoulder, making my blood boil even more as I recalled what just happened.

I looked up, motioning my arm at Bedo. "Bro put him down here! I will teach that guy a lesson!"

SLAM!

My face distorted as a gust of wind blew past me when Bedo threw him down. With my under-eye twitching, I looked down only to see a bloody, unconscious person. I sighed helplessly, planting my palm on my hips as I looked up at Bedo.

"Bedo, I said, put him down. Meaning put him down carefully, not throw! What the heck?" I clicked my tongue because I couldn't release my frustration anymore at this person.

"Oh, so sorry..."

I shook my head, waving. "It's fine. He did a good number on me, though." I pressed my palm on my wounded shoulder, wincing as if a colony of ants was biting me all at the same time.

"Damn..." came out a curse under my breath, annoyed as I glanced at the culprit of this pain. ".. whatever."

I slumped to the floor, bending my knees as I breathed out. All I wanted tonight was to sleep and plan about how to garner customers. But this freak just showed up in here. I looked around at my shop. Everything I built and collected for months was ruined and all over the place.

It was a disappointing and annoying sight to behold. But well, I lived thanks to Bedo.

"Bedo ruined everything." I gazed up at Bedo as he sulked. "So sorry."

"Stop saying you're sorry, bro."

"Alright, so sorry..."

I gave up. I shook my head, sighing, as Bedo wouldn't stop saying that word. "I lived. These things won't return if that freak minced me alive."

My eyes landed on the felon before catching the crack on the floor where the ax landed earlier. Bedo was immune to physical pain, but I disliked it when anyone dented him. I see him as my little brother, so he was my responsibility now.

"Bedo not hurt," he spoke, noticing where I was staring.

"I'm still sorry, though," I replied, along with a sharp exhale. "Once this person wakes up, I'll mince him alive. It's my time to toy with this bastard."

I glanced at Bedo with an arched brow. "Scared?"

"Ammon angry. Bedo scared."

I stared at Bedo for a long time before peeling my eyes away from him. Bedo wasn't just a pushover, but he was a coward as well. Unlike what he looked like, he was too soft inside. The complete opposite of me.

"Then what the hell would I do with this bastard to quench my frustration?" I asked, collapsing on my back so I could face Bedo. My neck hurts looking at up him. Bedo didn't respond. I knew this guy, and I was aware he was simply suppressing the heroic answer as 'let him go.'

That bull was unacceptable.

"We both don't know what to do with him, but what I know is that the rope he used is a good item to sell." I nodded, thinking that I could sell it at a good price or maybe do some kind of raffle as a gimmick. "I wonder what sort of other stuff this guy has so I can sell..."

I trailed off as I narrowed my eyes at the sudden idea that crossed my mind. The side of my lips stretched as a laugh followed.

"Bedo, I think I know what to do with this lunatic." I set my eyes on the confused Bedo, simpering before turning my head to the unconscious body lying from a distance. "He toyed with me? Well, I'm certain all that humiliation will be worth it."

I peeled my eyes away from him to the stone titan, looking at me, confused. "We just got our first valuable item, Bedo." My eyes squinted as my smirk grew into a smug grin.

"This guy will cost a fortune."
