Elsie hurried into Eloise's chamber while the latter was busy reading a novel she had stolen from Raynold. She didn't know that Alpha Raynold Berrycloth was such a hopeless romantic at heart!

"Sister Eloise"

Eloise looked up, drawing her attention to her younger sister who made her way toward her.

"Elsie?" Eloise straightened up, seeing her sister in her chamber at such an early hour in the morning. "You could have told me that you miss me so much. I would have spent the night with you in your chamber if only someone else wasn't there to do that." Eloise teased her sister with a smile but received no reaction from Elsie.

Something was wrong! Eloise could tell.

"Your mood tells me that you have no idea what has happened in the manor." Elsie sat beside her sister and looked at her with seriousness.

Eloise felt uncomfortable hearing that. Edwin had given her enough responsibilities, yet she didn't know what was happening around her.
