5 Ch 5 Breaking The News

Chapter 5

I duck under my teacher Ling's swing and sweep his legs. He jump-kicks me in the face, I stumble back a bit but go in for a feint with my right he which blocks, and then I punch him in the liver with my right.

I think I've won but he grabs my arm and throws me over his shoulder.

"Aggh you got me good old man just wait till I age up then you won't stand a chance" I said lying on the ground

"I don't know Yang. If you ask me you're far stronger than a normal 12-year-old, what do they feed you?" he said helping me up.

He's not wrong over the last 3 and a half years my stats have skyrocketed, and I leveled up.

Teacher Ling helped me through meditation and I was finally able to make progress on that, maybe it will be useful when learning magic.

Another thing is I've made a fair bit of money selling rabbit furs and meat, using that money I was able to fill my inventory with EVERYTHING.

I got food, clothes, blankets, tents, firewood, tools, medicine, and weapons. Looking at my inventory I feel proud, and on the left-hand side is my equipment slot where I can see myself as if looking In a mirror.

I'm tall and muscular for my age thanks to all the training being as tall as my older brother, I have medium-length black shaggy hair and brown eyes. (Like the cover art but younger and no red eyes yet)

Many people mistake me for the older brother which I can tell annoys him but he's still my hardworking older brother.

Even though he hasn't taken full control of the Teahouse he now gives my parents more time to relax.

The funny thing is he actually is better at brewing tea than me even with 23 WIS and a gamer system, he really takes his destiny seriously as I do.

This is why now is a good time to tell my parents that I'm leaving on my journey in 1 year.

Traveling down the silk road to Nepal is apparently 2 years long so I'll be 15 when I arrive at Kamar-Taj.

I've spent enough time here on Tea making and Kung Fu now it's time to learn magic, also the first spell I'll learn will let me come back anytime.

I arrived back home to see my brother brewing Oolong tea and ordering the workers about.

"Brother Yang your back from training come help me I need you to serve table 5" he said as he saw me

"Ok but just this one I need to talk to mother and father about something important, are they in the back?" I asked as I took the tea to table 5

"Ya there just sorting out the leaves" he said looking puzzled

"Thanks, big brother" I head to the back "Mother, Father I need to say something important" I stated

They put down the leaves and headed over my father smiling but my mother looked saddened.

"What is it son ?" my father asked

"You both know that I wish to travel the world but never told you that when I was young I experienced a prophecy that told me to go to Nepal and if I don't the world will be in danger" Not a lie since I do know the future is in danger.

"What are you saying son I'm not saying your lying you've always been special, but the world is a dangerous place" My father said shouting

"Also why does it have to be you?" he continued, strangely my mother said nothing and just looked more said

"Never mind we can start your training immediately and you can leave in 10 years" my father finished saying that

It warmed my heart that despite this crazy story he's still supportive in his own way

But my mother just stepped forward saying "when are you leaving ?" completely ignoring my father.

"1 year" I said

"1 YEAR ARE YOU CRAZY I'M NOT LETTING MY SON LEAVE HOME AT 13" he shouted loud enough that my brother came in to see what's wrong.

When my brother entered the draft blew some leaves into the air

"Please father believe me I can take care of myself" as I said that I quickly summoned threw 3 daggers pinning the leaves to the wall without even looking.

Everyone stood frozen after my display brother was the most shocked. I don't think he knew I was capable of that.

"Please honey we have always known Little Yang was going to leave us and I always feared with would be early like this" Mother said calmly

"Don't worry father I still have a year here and I'm not leaving forever I'll come to visit after my journeys" I said with a smile and some tears

My brother looked at me saddened, he seemingly figured out what was going on.

"Then you'll have just enough time to meet your new sibling" She said rubbing her belly

"WHAT" shouted Yin I was confused too.

"I have a gift for you two, Honey go get the box" she pointed to the attic

Dad came down with an ornate box, inside were 2 beautiful silk outfits

One was black silk sleeveless shirt with red accents on the arms and collar. Also, there are black silk pants with a detailed red and gold dragon design taking up a portion of the front on the right leg.

The other was Identical except the main color was beige silk with blue markings instead.

"Currently it is illegal for commoners to wear silk in China but these were passed down to me before that rule came to be" My mother said lovingly

"Yang since your traveling away from China you will be able to wear them, and Yin maybe one day the rule will change and you can make the Tea house known with this outfit" She continued

I was given the red and black one while Yin was given the other. We put them on and looked badass.

"Thank You so much" we both shouted while our parents smiled.

We all came together in a big group hug

"We better get started spending time together before you leave son" my father solemnly stated.

One Year Later

I stood by the caravan that I'm going to use to get to Nan-Chang-Fu and from there I can take a boat down the river.

I had multiple bags on my back filled with food, supplies, and my new outfit just to appease my family.

I'll put them in my inventory when I'm out of sight.

My family gathered around me to say their goodbyes, my mother carrying my little sister Feiyan

"Stay safe Little Yang I packed extra tea leaves for when you get stressed out" said Mother

"Save the world son but don't get yourself hurt or worse" Said, Father

"Yang I don't understand this whole prophecy thing but please stay safe and come back often Mother and Father will miss you" said, my big brother

"Don't worry everyone I'll be fine"

I'll definitely be ok when teacher Ling heard I was leaving, he stepped up my training.

Chapter 5 done

This is the end of the Fu-Chou arc or growing up arc

The journey to Nepal is going to be just 1 chapter so no stress

Skills go to lvl 40 pretty quick especially with high WIS but getting past that is harder

Like becoming good or even an expert is doable but becoming a master and beyond is more difficult

that 10 thousand hours stuff
