1 Chapter One

In their first lifetime, magic exists.

They were a pair of homeless orphans skilled in magic. No one can ever reach them, no one can ever touch them; they were unstoppable together and impenetrable. Their leader would always favor them out of anyone in their little group of assassins.

They were hired killers, killing and sometimes even guarding just for the sake of money. They don't really care about anything else other than they should live without thinking of when's the next meal is. In this lifetime, they started falling in love, though it developed slowly.

But, before they could even confess their love for each other, they were killed in action. They were left behind by the group of people who they thought were their trusted allies and friends. No matter... they'll get what's coming for them in the future.

In their second lifetime, their families were at war with each other.

They woke up in the bodies of children, meeting each other for the first time. But, the minute that their eyes met, they knew who each other were. Their eyes showed something else, it told them a thousand of stories that only the two of them knows in between each other.

When they found themselves together, they thought that this would be the chance for them to be together, that no one can stop them now from loving each other. They both wore such fine clothes that they knew that they were both nobles. No one would say no to two nobles taking interest with one another after all.

Then, they found out that their families were sworn enemies.

They imagined that this'll be a perfect plot for that writer back in their day.

They tried everything to be together. They tried pursuing their families to look at the opportunity of having an ally with one another. They tried talking them in uniting for the best of their families. Heck, they even used their romance to just try to make their families hear them out for a second, but none worked at all.

So, they did the next best thing; they eloped. Who knew that this decision would also end their lives?

They tried running away in the middle of the night, with him getting a horse from the stables and catching her as she jumped down from her balcony. They did that part fine, and left mostly unscathed. But, her father found out and tried pursuing them, yelling out profanities for the two of them to hear, especially towards him.

Then, two gunshots rang in the air.

It was kind of ironic that the two people to kill them were their own fathers.

His father did pursue them too, wanting to straighten his poor son's mind to just choose a different maiden to marry. But, when he saw that they were running away, he tried to fire a warning shot at them, which obviously failed.

They died again, lying in their own blood.

In their next lives, it would always end up with them lying in the pool of their own blood.

Everytime their eyes would met, or whoever bodies it is that they occupy, they would instantly remember each other. They don't understand what led to this happening, but they won't complain. They would at least take the chances of having a normal life, with love in between them, even for such a short amount of time at times.

Well, there are some lifetimes where they died at such old age, but would still lie in the pool of their own blood (whether by accident or by a tragedy, that is what it would always end up with). They have no qualms over that... other than the fact that they miss their children and grandchildren.

But no matter; as long as they are together, nothing would bring them down.

"It's time for our next life, isn't it?" He asked her wife, who was just minding her own business, typing down at her smartphone as if they weren't going to be hit by a fifty-ton truck. They were used to this, used to brutal deaths though they did nothing wrong (maybe... except on their first life).

"Yeah, I can see that," She answered, still playing Candy Crush in her phone. He just laughed calmly, watching as this big ass truck started threading towards them as if not seeing them at all. He would miss their kids... he loves them so much, and he knows that she does too.

"I thought we would have time to see the birth of our grandkids here," He said, huffing, ignoring the shouts of shock and surprise from the people around them. This time, she removed her eyes from the screen of her phone, and reached out towards his unoccupied hand. She squeezed his hand with warm assurance.

"In the next life," She answered, "maybe we'll even have the chance to see our grandkids' own litter." The truck is just fifteen seconds away from them, and it would hit them and trample them over. He took her hand, kissing the top of it smiling.

"Love you, mi rosas. See you later."

"Love you, too."

And the second she finished saying that, the truck came slamming towards them. They were used to this pain, honestly, their first deaths were much worse than this since they were bleeding to death back then. But this? This was an improvement. Instant crushing by death.

He felt his soul leaving his body. Again, he would enter this realm between other realms; almost like a bridge for other worlds to meet up with. He felt himself zoom around, as if whoever higher power there is was thinking of what world he should be going.

Then, he felt himself stop in front of a warm gateway.

'Oh no... here we go again,' Warm doors means that... the couple there are not really taking care of each other despite circumstances. There is a big possibility that one of the two are also abusing their partner. He hate this kind of doors. He is NOT a wife beater, and will never be.

A warm door means anger and hate.

He knows what his love is capable of, and vice versa.

- Welcome to the Kingdom of Flores -

The Kingdom of Flowers? So... they are part of an old civilization; the medieval time of another dimension. This would be easy if their roles are commoners. No one would take notice of their changes in behavior much; they would just see it as a sudden change of heart and nothing else.

He felt himself zoom around, closer and closer to this new body that he would be occupying. He hopes that he wouldn't look absolutely... well, devastating. He still would love his wife to enjoy the view whenever they are together. To think that he was such a looker in their recent past life.

His soul stopped in front of the new body. He felt himself slowly be brought down in the middle of it, feeling the existing soul disappear completely. This means that the higher being does not favor this man, whoever he was.

His soul settled in just fine... then comes the memories.

"Do you love your Queen more than me, my king?"

"Of course not! I only married her because it was my duty! You are still my favorite woman!"

"That is flattering my king..."

Good gosh, with the way this woman talk and move, he just wished that this is not his wife. It was so obvious that the woman was just using you to get some things. Not going to judge the mistress since... this man is obviously better gone for both him and his queen.

Dang, he just transmigrated into the King of this kingdom.

When the memories started to slowly end, he could hear voices of people around him. They were calling out a name; his name in this dimension. He is Henrey, the King of Flores, and the comically titled 'The King of Banquets' for no good reasons.

Honestly, with the memories that he was getting, this man's kingdom is still standing because of the reputation that his own father have gathered back when he was just a young boy. Though they are called the Kingdom of Flowers, others still fear on heading them face on with the reason that the medicinal herbs and plants that they provide may stop if ever that happens.

But other than the reputation and the service they provide? One of these days, the kingdom may as well be usurped by other kingdoms without warning. They WILL win, based on the memories of how their people fight.

You guys should be thankful that my wife and I would probably help you. He thought to himself as the voices started getting louder and more coherent. He winced as he tried standing up, feeling his right shoulder to be dislocated.

"My King! Are you alright?! Everyone! Move these parts of the carriage away!" As far as he could remember, his Queen and him just came from a royal celebration for the birth of the prince of their closest allied kingdom. They were passing by their usual route coming home when a group of bandits tried killing them.

But... how did the carriage seem to flip over...? They were in the middle of the forest, far from any cliffs-

"Wind...magic..." His wife is now awake!

"Alicia!" He grunted, trying to move closer to his wife. Out of all the moments to be rebirthed unto another body, why couldn't Fate choose something less painful for the both of them?!

"Harold," She whispered, trying hard to remove the pieces of wood sticking on her arms. He gritted his teeth, angry at how slow their people were from removing the carriage from under them. Back in one of their other lives, THEY were the soldiers, the knights, the servants that was ordered around and they move with such quick and precise actions that their masters did not find any fault in them.

"My King! The other knights are coming! They will be helping! Hold on a little longer." He does not have the patience to wait, not when his wife is here right in front of him with pieces of wood stuck in her body.

"Are you doing fine, mi rosas?" He asked, wanting to see if there is any possible wounds that would have injured her gravely. She grunted in answer and pointed at her left arm. He couldn't stop from cursing as he saw another piece of wood, but this time, it passed through her skin and is sticking out on the other side.

"This kingdom really needs major changes to happen," He said, laughing a little at how they thought they would never live a life where they were a pair of royalties. Yes, they've done the part where one of them is a commoner but this one? It's their first time.

"Well, we've had plenty of time to do that," His wife answered, grunting yet again as the effort to raise the carriage only hurt them more. These knights DOES NOT HAVE any core strength at all!

"EVERYONE GET OUT OF THE WAY!" He shouted, impatient at how slow and ineffective they are in doing this.

"But my King! How could we-"

"I'll do it myself!" His wife chuckled at him, so used at doing things on his own that even when he was a noble back in one of their lives, he would be seen as one of the most diligent one and most sought after as he is not one of those that orders people around. He isn't used to sitting down, he is used to doing things that he knows he could do himself.

And... maybe this one is reaching, but he KNOWS, with how his muscles flex, that this man is not entirely useless. He is a little bit thankful that this king does not forget to train himself no matter what.

"Just hold tightly there, darling," He said, sending his wife a reassuring smile.

He started by placing his arm on the right place. He have dislocated bones for all his lives, especially on the first one, that he became a pro in it. The pain is still there yes, but he could get it back in the right place without a sweat.

*Crack*

He could move his arm again. As expected, the pain was nothing to him. He, then, started to test the waters in his own body. They concluded that magic does exist in this world, with what his wife said that it was a wind magic of sorts that got this heavy carriage almost crush them inside while upside down.

Now... does he have magic?

"My King?! We heard a crack! Please, just let us-"

"Get out of the way!"

He started concentrating, gathering all of his magic in his arms. If magic here works like in the other lives they lived on, nothing can limit its use and they could use it by the form of...thinking and imagining.

'Magic... do your thing... I imagined my purpose. I hope this works.' His wife whistled as he started destroying the thick wood from above them. It's thick alright, probably also made out of the finest wood- which is nothing to them. Honestly, he punched harder things, he just need to train this body more.

"My King?!" By the time of his twentieth punch (yes, his wife counted, telling him that she enjoyed the view), he broke a hole in the middle of it. Nice, he still got it and it only hurts his fists a bit.

"Wanna bet that I could destroy everything one punch?" He asked his wife, a teasing smile on his face. His wife laughed at this, probably startling the people around them hearing them so gleeful even in this situation.

"I'd like to see you try. I say two punches," His wife answered, a teasing glint on her eyes. Used to his wife's small teasing's, he rolled his eyes and readied himself. He started gathering magic on his right arm, readying to destroy all of it out of pure magic outburst.

"W-What a strong man," His wife teased. Knowing her, she could feel and even physically see the magic gathering in his fist. He winked at his wife and swung hard above them.

*CRACKLE*

Along with the breaking of the rest of the carriage (damn, he didn't destroy everything, this body might feel fit but it is inexperienced), he almost broke his fist. He felt that it was sore and now, looking at it, he also gathered too much magic that it looks almost burned.

"You lose." He chuckled, turning towards his wife who is still lying down.

"Where's the fun in always being right," He answered, gathering magic on both his fists, thinking of the intention of healing.

"Well-" But before his wife could answer, the knights that was suppose to be the one saving them all crowded around him, COMPLETELY IGNORING HIS LYING WIFE WHO IS BLEEDING.

"My King! We are glad that you are fine!"

"How are you, my King?"

"Are you injured anywhere, my King?!"

If he could just silence them with a silencing spell, he would have. But, that was his wife's forte and he didn't like using that kind of magic at all. He might... make them permanently mute, especially now that they are still in their new bodies.

"I am fine! Someone call the palace doctor to get ready! Bring me a horse," He ordered out, shouting at the knights around him. Most of them immediately followed, in fear that the king might have their heads. He doesn't like being a tyrant, but the way that these royal knights have moved is completely different than what he and his wife have been.

If they were in their place with these abilities, they would have just been a normal soldier in the army, not knights assigned to the royal family.

"My King, your injuries needs to be seen. The Queen could wait a bit-" He turned towards who he supposed is the captain of the royal knights. He knows that he might have looked like a wildcat with the way the man backed down, seeing the crazed glare on his eyes.

Are they really ignoring his wife?! Even if the King does not favor the Queen, she is an equal ruler of the kingdom, not just a measly consort or anything! Honestly, what kind of man is this king for his knights to even ignore the Queen even with her having worse injuries than him!?

"Get out of the way," He answered, "and bring me a horse. I WILL slice your heads off your necks if you dare to even say another word ignoring my Queen." Gasps and murmurs echoed the remaining knights as they stared at him with disbelief. He knows that for the old King to act like this is literally unheard of. He knows that the original owner of this body favored his head consort more than his own wife.

He has the man's memories, but not his soul. His soul is still his own, and his soul tells him that the woman in the Queen's body is his wife.

"Your highness," A young man, the youngest knight he might have ever seen in his life, was the one to immediately follow his order. He lead a horse to him, all the while bowing down as to not stare at the king. From the memories, this was his stepbrother, the unfavored child of the late Queen and the one who was sacrificed to become a knight of the kingdom.

"Allen," He saw in his memories how the people around him treated him and he have decided here and now that he would be giving the young man an opportunity to be cared for and to prove his worth.

This change could start right now.

"M-My King..."

"Call me brother, Allen, as I really am that." He heard his wife chuckle. Knowing her, she should also have memories about the young knight and have approved of what he is doing... but he knows that she is also laughing at her for this sudden decision.

He eyed her, raising his eyebrow at the chuckle. His wife raised her eyebrow back, but with a smirk on her lips.

"But, my King..." He raised his hand to stop him.

"You are my brother, though not by blood. Both our parents did not treat you well, and so this will become my responsibility to treat you well." With how much he have changed for a matter of seconds, people around him might be having a whip splash.

No matter, things are going to change very soon and they won't even have time to breathe or adjust to it.

"I- um..." But then, he remembered that his wife is injured. He should really be riding towards the kingdom right now if his knights aren't moving. He took the horse from his brother, riding on it with ease even with someone in his arms.

As expected, another round of gasps and murmurs went around. He looked at their surrounding, seeing dead bodies of the assassins that tried to kill him and the Queen. At least he knows that they could fight... no matter, their trainings would still be tripled if he had his way with it.

"Use your horse and follow behind me," He said to his brother. Then, he turned towards the other knights knowing how the procedures in assassinations work, "all of you stay here and investigate the matter. You have left one alive, yes?" They all answered in affirmative, though the confusion in their face is still there.

"I will expect a report once you are back. I am giving you a day to solve this mystery." He then turned towards his brother who have came back with his horse. He nodded to him, then to his knights and rode off with his wife in his arms.

"Just hold on a little longer, ok?" He whispered to his wife, who he saw was struggling at the moment to stay awake.

"This body is not used to pain as I am," His wife answered, trying to look strong though he could see that she is flinching at the slight movement.

"You would strengthen the body later, I suppose." His wife smiled in answer, knowing now that she is thinking of a training routine to bring back the old prowess that she has had in every lifetime that they have encountered.

They still train theirselves even though they transmigrate in an era of peace. It has became a part of theirselves and it is something that they are not willing to part with.

"You know me so well, dear," Of course he absolutely does, with how many lifetimes they have together it is impossible not to slowly know each other.

"As you know me as well," If his memory does not fail him, it would take twenty minutes to reach the kingdom, and that is in a slow-paced carriage with them stopping once to let him stretch his feet. But, with them moving fast without stop, they could probably reach the kingdom within ten or nine minutes.

"Allen!" He shouted at his brother behind him.

"Yes!"

"We will not be stopping and would continue until we are in the kingdom. I hope that you are alright with that."

"Without a doubt."

That was the only thing that he needs to know before taking reign with the horse that they were riding on. He hopes that his brother would be able to keep up with him, because he is going to speed up.

He's going to the kingdom within four minutes.

"I hope you can keep up with me!" He missed the feeling of riding a horse, and he knows that his wife does too.

"Don't go too fast. The poor boy might lose sight of you," His wife said, who is now absolutely twitching as he started urging the horse to go faster.

"Sorry, would you like me to go slower?" He might love riding, but his wife is his top priority right now. Answering his question, his wife just shook his head in answer and smirked at him.

"Ride faster, actually." This is why he loves her so much. They just fit so well with each other. He smirked back, and this time he is going to use his magic to push the horse to go faster.

"Let's ride."
