41 Chapter 41:A Great Plan

"How is he?" a man's voice entered the room.

"He is fine, but you need to take care of him because there are fluctuations in his soul" another voice of a man entered the room.

"Will he be fine?" a female's voice entered the room.

"Don't worry, he'll be fine as long as he doesn't suffer like this again." the second man spoke again.

…..

Inside the room

A boy around the age of 12 was lying on the bed. He slowly opened his eyes. He tried to muster up the courage to stand up, but couldn't. He moved his head to look at himself with difficulty. He also looked towards the door. He had heard all the things talked about by the female and the man.

He was too tired and closed his eyes. He slept. He had a slight smile on his face as if the boy was happy.

…..

At night,

The boy stood up from his bed with difficulty. He went to the window and saw the night sky outside. The sky was full of stars and the moon was covered by the clouds, it was blurry.

He then looked at the streets outside. A narrow street road that was as wide as three meters and the street itself was four meters wide in total was in front of him. On both sides were houses made of wood. Yellow lamps were hanging in the street on small wooden poles. It was mostly empty and quiet. A peaceful night was displayed in front of him.

The boy again looked at his hands and smiled.

"This world is a beautiful place. Now, I can sway as much as I want without the wind. This life is going to be harder." The boy muttered slowly.

His expressions and his personality were different from his age. He seemed to be mature. His eyes seemed— for some reason— refined. They were completely black. His hair was pure black and was short. His body was slim. His skin was fairly white, and his face was normal. He was not too handsome or not was his face out of shape that everyone would hate him just by looking at him, it was average.

"Now that I have returned back to the past, I should put it to good use. My knowledge of eleven hundred years should also come in handy. It took me nine hundred years of work and planning to free myself. I don't know why, but I always felt that my life was not mine. But I feel different now." The 12-year-old boy was none other than Yang Zhai, himself.

He had managed to return to the past, to the day he was just reincarnated into this body, and he had once again been reborn. He now had the knowledge of eleven hundred years about the future. He also had knowledge of the world and many more secrets. It was definitely going to help him greatly.

Yang Zhai tried to look at the sword that he had brought back with him, but couldn't find it anywhere. But he clearly felt that it was with. He had merged it with his soul.

He had to do it to bring it back with him. The Ka he used to merge the sword with his soul had a condition, and that was to sacrifice something he valued the most. And to Yang Zhai, nothing was more valuable than his life, he had to basically die to let the Ka succeed. But how could he do that? So, he had to wait until he was ready to reincarnate.

He also wanted to refine the sword into something better that he had discovered in his last life and for that, he needed a lot of blood. Which he did achieve in the war before his reincarnation. However, the sword was not his ultimate goal with the refinement. He needed a lot of sources for the sword to transform. He had already obtained half of the resources.

But after the sword was merged with his soul, it was basically a part of his soul. So to change the shape, he had to die and change the shape in the process, if he couldn't, then the process would fail and the sword would still maintain its shape. This was also the reason the sword was turning into the specks of light in the previous life with Yang Zhai. But he stopped it. But his soul couldn't die in the process, so he used a treasure to protect his soul and used the Desert of Time as a furnace to change the shape of his sword in the process of his reincarnation. For this all, he had to plan for hundreds of years. It couldn't be the slightest mistake, not even a little. Or he would fail and even his reincarnation might fail because of this.

Even if he succeeded in returning to the past after a mistake was done, he would fail the refinement process, and his hundreds of years of hard work would be wasted.

So, he had to work hard to obtain a lot of knowledge in his previous life.

And as his death was an important element in all the three plans, he had to succeed, after all, he couldn't die again and again.

But he could still feel that the refinement was still not completed. Yang Zhai had already expected this. After all, he had not obtained all of the materials and he himself wanted to complete the process in this life.

But he also had to seal the sword whilst being reborn. In the end, his body and his soul would be weaker after the reincarnation, if a powerful item like this had returned with full force, it would have destroyed his body and soul completely. The treasure could only protect his soul during the Desert Of Time and when his soul entered his body.

And all the things had to be done by themselves, he was powerless in the Desert of Time. He couldn't even speak. In the end, this was his first time in the Desert Of Time. He was basically taking a chance, even after all the planning. But he succeeded.

As for the previous soul in his body, it merged with his eleven hundred-year-old soul. And there were other intricate details to take care of.

He had an intuition that he forgot about some of the Kas, techniques, and even the treasure that protected his soul. And all of these things were related to a path, and which path was it, he didn't remember. But he remembered one thing and that was that he did it himself, he made himself forget about this path, as this path was something he wanted no one to know about. He couldn't take the chance even if he was protected by the treasure.

He remembered nothing about the Desert Of Time as he was only half conscious during the process.

"I want to awaken my aperture, but this would arouse suspicion, so I have to wait for the elders. But I can train my body during this time." Yang, Zhai mumbled. He had great expectations for this life.

Someone knocked on the door. When Yang Zhai heard this, he tried to return to his bed, but because his body was too weak and out of strength, he couldn't return to bed and fell.

The door opened slowly, and a woman walked in. She was middle-aged and had some white hair. When she saw Yang Zhai on the floor, she hurriedly ran to him and picked him up. She helped him to his bed.

"What are you doing, Yang Zhai?" Your body is weak right now. You need to rest." The old lady said.

"I am fine, aunt Wei. I was just looking at the night sky." Yang Zhai said, and acted like a child. He wanted to hide his secrets from everyone lest he sought trouble.

"You could have asked someone if you needed something. You don't need to tire yourself. You are already weak as it is. You fell unconscious in broad daylight for some reason." Aunt Wei said, looking worried.

"No, no, I am fine. I troubled you, I am sorry about that. You should go and sleep. It's already night." Yang Zhai said politely, like an immature boy.

"Are you sure that you are fine?"

"Yeah, I am absolutely fine."

"If you say so. Take care of yourself then." She left after saying this. For some reason, she felt that Yang Zhai was somehow different from before.

After she left, Yang Zhai's expression turned serious. He knew about his aunt and uncle and how much they cared about him. They only wanted to benefit from him and nothing. He might have fallen for their tricks in the previous life, but not this time.
