Extra 4: Finding Moni

In an office deep within the Palace, Gonza was sitting at a desk sloppily filling out stacks of paper. His eyes darted side to side as he scribbled with lightning-like speed. He tossed the documents aside without a single care if they fell to the ground or not.

In his younger days, he was constantly bullied at the M.I.B and was forced to do everyone's paperwork. In order to succeed, he became so good at paperwork that he barely had to even glance over a document to read it in its entirety. The only downside was that he was incredibly messy, sometimes not even bothering to put the pieces of paper in their places.

However, Caldwell was the complete opposite. He was organized and swift, making sure that Gonza received the correct documents in an orderly fashion. Together, they were an unstoppable team.

One that Cyrus never hesitated to utilize.

The door was suddenly thrown open as I walked into the office followed by a restless Cyrus.

"Uncle Gooooonza~" I stood behind him and grabbed his shoulders, "I heard you can find people."

He gulped as he felt the pressure pushing down on him, "D-Depends."

"You remember that boy from your vision with Cyrus? I need you to find him."

"I-It doesn't work like that… It just happens, I can't force it."

"Hmmmm." I stepped around him as my lips curved up ominously, "You know, your father was held captive so that Vira could find Arrivers. You inherited his ability, so you should be able to do the same."

He started trembling, "N-Niece… I'm your beloved Uncle, r-right? You wouldn't do that to me… Right?"

"Of course not. I'm not a monster." I tilted my head, "Although, I heard sensory deprivation is really useful for focusing the mind."

His jaw dropped.

I patted his shoulder with a smirk, "I already had them create a chamber just for you. Once a day should be fine until you succeed…"

The guards promptly grabbed onto his arms as he screamed, "ONCE A DAY!?"

As he was dragged away I shouted after him, "I just need you to find 3 people, then you'll be done. Work hard!"

"NIECE! PLEASE!"

"Young miss!" Caldwell grabbed onto me with a look of desperation, "Where are you taking my husband!?"

I patted him on the arm to soothe him, "Calm down, Caldwell. You can spend a few hours without him."

"Pah! I don't want to hear that from the likes of you! You and the Young Master are always together!!!"

I paused and turned around to meet the gaze of Cyrus. His arms were wrapped around my waist while his chin nestled on my shoulder. His eyes were just like a puppy dog staring up at me as if to say there was nothing wrong with what he was doing.

I turned back to Caldwell and cleared my throat, "It's better to mind your own business. If you don't, I will make Gonza go several times a day. Then you'll never see him."

"AHHHH!" Caldwell turned into an owl and flew on top of the bookshelf, hiding in a corner as he cried, "HOW CRUEL! I WON'T WORK AS LONG AS MY DARLING ISN'T HERE!"

Cyrus let out a sigh in my ear, "Now what will I do? That was my two best workers."

I ruffled his hair, "How hard can it be?"

I took Gonza's seat and pulled out a paper from the stack.

Cyrus stood behind me and peered over my shoulder, "Well?"

I put the piece of paper down, "I hope he has a vision quickly."

After waiting a week, the guards came to tell me Gonza had finally had a meaningful prophecy. Caldwell flew over my shoulder with speed unlike an owl to get to Gonza first. Once he found him, Caldwell reverted back and littered his cheeks with kisses. Gonza was so exhausted that he didn't even push him away.

I skipped over to him, "I heard you had a prophetic vision?"

Caldwell was rubbing his shoulders as his pale face stared off into space, "A small girl being compared to a flower…"

My face lit up, "Rose!"

"She… She's with a man all bandaged up."

"Eh? Who is that?"

"He calls her big sister."

"Big sister?"

Wouldn't Moni call her little sister?

I pursed my lips, "Do you remember any other detail?"

"Um…"

I frowned and gave a pointed look at the guards. They promptly picked him up, eliciting a scream from him. "Oh! I remember! I remember! There were small plants around him! I… I think they were dancing?"

My expression darkened, "Felix again?"

Gonza looked at me with a desperate smile, "S-So? Is it okay? Can I go back to my desk work?"

I let out a heavy sigh, "Take him back to the deprivation chamber."

"NIECE NO!"

"YOUNG MISS PLEASE!" He grabbed onto my legs begging in a high-pitched tone as he did, "If you send him there then send me as well!! I can't live another moment without him!!"

Seeing me consider it, Gonza started panicking, "A-Actually I'm good! I don't mind-"

"-You can go too." I motioned them away, "I would hate to separate lovebirds."

Gonza cried out, "PLEASE HAVE MERCY!!"

Caldwell chirped happily and flew after Gonza who was screaming for me to change my mind. I completely ignored his cries and let him get dragged away. Feeling incredibly morose, I went back to my bedroom and collapsed face-forward on the bed. Cyrus sat next to me, "Should we find Felix?"

"It's fine." My voice was muffled into the covers, "He won't hurt her."

"What makes you say that?"

"I know his type." I turned my head to look at him, "Since Rose treated him well, he would never do anything to her. If anything, he would just try to use her against me."

Cyrus pursed his lips, "That doesn't sound good either."

I shrugged, "Even though he hates me, I have faith that he will treat her well… Although one thing concerns me."

"What is it?"

"Why do you think he's covered in bandages?" I sat up with a frown, "Is he injured?"

"If he is, would it matter?" Cyrus clicked his tongue in disgust, "I don't care if he is dying or not after how he talked to you."

I couldn't help but smile at his irritated expression. I leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek, "He was just upset, I'm sure he didn't mean it."

"It's no excuse." He let out an angry huff and then turned to me with an unwilling frown, "Although if you want to know if he's injured or not, we can try asking Gonza for more information."

"Yeah… Maybe." I leaned against him, "I'm sorry for taking your two best workers away from you."

"Don't worry about that. As long as you're happy, I don't care even if I have to do more work." He reached out to hold my cheeks and pulled me in for a kiss. We rested our foreheads together, "How are you feeling?"

"To be honest, I just really miss my children."

"Don't worry… We will find them."

The corner of my lips curved, "Even if it takes a thousand years?"

"Heh… If we live that long then sure."

Not Gonza being tortured....

These are the only two extras I will post today. I figured I would post the extras as soon as I write them~
