The war raged on.

As the Holy Army broke through the defenses, everyone was fighting their own battle and couldn't afford to help another.

Hazel and Zephyr were defending the Academy.

Gonza and Caldwell were kidnapped.

And currently, two owls were on their way covertly flying to a distant estate.

They landed silently at the outskirts and they watched from the trees. Their eyes glowed yellow as their harsh gazes stared at an estate that was flourishing despite the devastation around it.

Peering through the window, they could see the Duke and Duchess of the Orphelio family chatting leisurely as they ate their dinner.

Caldwell's mother grinded her teeth, "Don't they realize a war is going on? Are they only good for eating food!?"

"Good. Once they are gone there will be more food left in the world." His father spoke in a low voice, "Let's get revenge for our son."

"Fast or slow?"

He looked at his wife and answered softly as if she was merely asking him which outfit to buy, "Anything you want, dear."

"Caldwell told us where they forced our sons to live. Let's drag them there, pluck out their eyes, then kill them."

"As you wish."

They flew towards the window, their eyes vibrantly yellow as their bird-like bodies morphed into the shapes of bullets. They smashed into the window, eliciting surprised gasps from the two at the table.

Giant owls took their place and snatched the two with their giant claws. They abruptly flew off before any guards could be called.

Duke Al and his wife were flown over to an old shabby courtyard where they were thrown to the ground as hard as possible. As they both picked up their heads, two giant owls towered over them with fearsome expressions.

The Duke gulped as he stared at them, "Who-Who are you?!"

"You took my son away from me." Caldwell's mother hissed through her teeth, "Now you'll feel the pain I felt."

Both owls lunged forward without hesitation. Claws dug into their skin, ripping out their eyes slowly and painfully. After they succeeded in removing their eyes, both of the owls took a step back and watched as they screamed and squirmed like insects.

Caldwell's mother shook the blood off of her claws, "I think that's enough-"

A Holy light ball appeared from the Duke then rushed at the two unprepared owls. It smacked into them and sent them flying back into the wall. Both were covered in wounds that continued to bleed until the blood soaked the ground.

They held each other's hands as they looked up with rage and hatred in their slitted eyes. To their surprise, both the Duke and Duchess started healing their wounds.

Even their plucked eyes started to grow back.

"Ah… I guess you didn't know."

The two owls watched in disbelief as the Duke and his wife regenerated until they were completely back to normal. The Duke smiled smugly, "Our ancestors are capable of regeneration. Even if it weakened over time, we can't die from things like this."

Caldwell's mother acted urgently and threw out a cloud of demonic magic. However, it rebounded off their bodies and disappeared. His wife held out an amulet, "And thanks to the blessing of our Holy Goddess, your demonic magic has no effect on us."

The Duke snickered as he pulled out a holy dagger, "Now we will cut you open-"

A small tiger leaped out of the bushes so fast, that no one had time to see anything except a blur. The tiger cub bit down on the throat of the large man and tossed his head side to side, ripping out the skin with razor-sharp teeth.

The Duke couldn't even scream as blood bubbled in his throat and was severed completely.

"AHHHHH!!!!" The Duchess screamed as she watched her husband's head detach from his body and slump over.

She turned to run, but the tiger had already pounced on her and ripped out her throat.

With such fatal attacks, their poor regenerative ability couldn't trigger, leaving them both dead on the ground.

Sanc licked his bloodied lips and raised his hands triumphantly, "SANC IS A FEARED WARRIOR!"

The two owls both gave each other a stupified look as they wondered if they should praise or punish the tiger cub in front of them.
