109 Chapter 102 - Culture Festival

Chapter 102

Cultural Festival is one of the events that was very anticipated by literally every student in Japan. With the strict rules of education in Japan, these events are one of the ways for students to run from studying.

Naturally, that was the case even in a prestigious school like Shuuchiin Academy. However, this year's culture festival in Shuuchiin Academy is very special. Because of the big bonfire in the schoolyard that will be held in the evening right after the cultural festival ended.

Unfortunately, we as a member of the student council can't freely go around the festival because we need to take turns patrolling around the school. Well, we do have a few free time, but it wasn't that much.

At any rate, right now I am patrolling around the school with Yuu. I also didn't wear my health mask as there is no need to. Because literally everyone already knows that I am a student at Shuuchiin Academy.

"Yo, is there a problem here?" I asked as I entered a cafe that opened by a class in the third-year hall.

"President, thanks for the hard work!" Some waitress lowered their head when they saw me entering their cafe.

"Thanks for the hard work, President! Thank you for asking, fortunately, there isn't any problem in our class." A boy who seems to be the class president came and said with a smile.

"Good then. And don't hesitate to tell us if your class has a problem okay? We will help you. Right, Yuu?" I said then asked Yuu who silently following me while seemingly thinking about something.

"...Ah, of course! We will help you with anything." Yuu, who just realized that I just asked him, said.

"Thank you very much! We will definitely tell the student council." The class president replied with a delighted smile.

"Good. We will continue our patrol then. See you guys." I nodded approvingly and waved my hand as I went away from the class.

As expected, many guests are here to see me. Fortunately, none of them interrupting my job as the student council president.

Still, there are some or maybe many guests stealthily capturing my photo with their phone. Well, not that I mind it. It will be weird if they can't see me, the student council president of Shuuchiin Academy in the school building after all.

"So, do you plan to do something for her?" I asked as we walk.

"...What do you mean by that, Izumi-senpai?" Ishigami nervously asked.

"There is no way I don't know who eavesdropping on my conversation with Miko-chan yesterday, right?" I smirked and said.

"...That's true... However, I don't plan on doing something extravagant at all." Yuu wryly smiled and said thoughtfully.

"But you do have a plan right?" I grinned and asked.

"Yes... I will definitely do that before witnessing Miyuki-senpai's confession." Ishigami determinedly said.

"Good luck then. Oh, and can I ask something?" I smiled and said.

"Of course, what it is, Senpai?" Yuu tilted his head and asked.

"What do you think of Miko Iino?" I asked with a smirk. I have asked this question before, but I know that his answer might be different this time. As if understanding what I mean, Yuu gently closed his eyes and chuckled.

"We can't get along. But I respect her very much even though she has an unreasonable sense of justice. And now as she understands how unreasonable her justice is, I wish more people can understand her. Also, I wish she can be happy." Yuu said with a beaming smile.

Really, what an equally awkward people both of them are. They genuinely cared about each other, understanding each other's unique personality, and even wishing for each other happiness.

"I see..." I nodded understandingly with a smile as we continue to walk.

"Izumi-senpai!"

When I was patrolling alone to check the classes that opened booths in the schoolyard, someone called me in a loud voice. I wasn't with Yuu right now as he is helping a class with something.

When I looked at the specific direction the voice came from, a teen can be seen waving his hand towards me. The teen has a quite handsome face, slim but muscled body, and delighted expression on his face.

Besides the teen, a simple yet pretty girl smiled wryly at the teen who shouted in the middle of the crowd. Then, both of them walking toward me when they saw me looking at them.

I tilted my head while wondering if I had met the teen and the girl before. The fact that I can't recall the boy and the girl means I never met him before or they have changed that much.

He also seems not a fan of mine, but I can see in his eyes that he admires me as a person. Which means, I had met him and even talk to him before and his appearance wasn't like this before. Then this boy must be the trap and the legitimate heir of the Renjou family, Renjou Suzu.

"Wow, you sure changed a lot, Renjou-kun. I almost didn't recognize you." I casually said.

"Hehehe...After that celebration, I promptly told my grandpa who was happy to enroll me in an ancient dojo. I trained very hard day after day and also regularly speaking with the girl I told you about.

And before graduation, I was able to confess to her and she accepted to be my girlfriend. Please let me introduce you to her. This is my girlfriend, Yoshida Saki." Renjou answered then introduced the girl beside him with a happy smile on his face.

"Please to meet you, Kitahara-sama. I have been hearing about you from Suzu all the time and saw some of your photos in seventeen." The girl politely introduced herself with a smile.

Her appearance hasn't changed much since the last time I met her. She only wears very little makeup and using contact lense.

"Please to meet you too, Yoshida-chan. Hehe... I am glad for you, Renjou-kun. You finally able to be the boyfriend of your ideal girl." I casually replied to her introduction and said with a grin on my face to Renjou.

"P-please don't say that Izumi-senpai," Renjou said with his face reddened causing Yoshida to smile while tenderly looking at him.

"It's fine, Suzu. I love any side of you." The girl, Yoshida Saki said with a dazzling smile, and her cheek reddened.

"...I love you too, Saki," Renjou said with a joyful expression with his face blushed.

"Yes, yes. I know you two are lovey-dovey but do look at your surrounding. That's what I want to say but, I can't particularly comment about that as I sometimes did that too." I laughingly said.

"..." Both of them shyly lowered their head after hearing my remarks.

"Anyway, I want to ask you for the last time and want to hear a confident answer from you. Can you who have worked hard to change yourself, protect the girl you love this time?" I thoughtfully said.

"Yes, I will forever protect her and make her happy." After hearing my thoughtful question, Renjou instantly answered with his face displayed a determination.

"Good. Then I wish you two happiness and good luck. Also, don't hesitate to ask my help if you ever need one." I nodded and said with a smile.

"Yes, thank you very much, Izumi-senpai!" Renjou heartily said.

"Thank you very much, Kitahara-sama." Yoshida also joyfully said.

"Well, I need to continue my patrol. So, please enjoy the festival and see you." I waved my hand and smilingly said.
