3 The In Between

Ericka quit her job at the golf resort and spent the next 2 years working at the camp and pouring into the life of 'her kids' at the camp where she worked.

She spent a year dating a guy that made her second guess herself. She was always upset, always angry, always sad. They had no real physical relationship, but he treated her like his girlfriend and she liked him. She missed having someone to have and hold. Someone who really cared about her. She was always driving to see him. She was always sacrificing for the relationship. It was very one sided.

When the summer came, the guy she was dating went to Michigan to visit his family. Ericka tried calling him for about a month. He only returned one call and then seemed pissed that she called him. She texted him a few times but he barely replied. The middle of July she decided she would see what was out there. 'Mr. Wonderful' wasn't calling her back, maybe it was time to move on. She signed up for a few dating sites and didn't get many interesting matches. The end of July she started looking around on one of the sites. There were many interesting people. She sent a few emails out and got a few weird replies, a few fetish type replies and she messaged with a few people but nothing stuck. Then she found an awesome profile. The guy put up pictures of himself dancing at a friend's wedding. He just looked like so much fun. She hoped he would write her back.
