39 Chapter 37 : Fallin' harder.

When they were done for the day, Luke went home, while Ken left to meet Jade. Ken stood beside Jade's table with his hands folded. Jade was totally immersed in the work that he didn't even look up. Ken knocked on the table to gain Jade's attention. Jade looked up to see Ken. " Hey, just give me two minutes and I will be done ". Ken scoffed at those words. " I am already late and you still want time ? Where is that guy who told me he will treat me to dinner ? Do you even know what the time is ? "

" Time.... ? " Jade asked absentmindedly without even looking up. Ken snapped. " Mister, take a look at the time, will you ?! " Jade was shocked to see it was late already. " Shit ! " Ken rolled his eyes. " Exactly. Now you close everything and come, or you'll face the consequences ". Ken put his weight on one leg and folded his hands while glaring at Jade who was quickly packing up. " Done, let's go now ". Jade pulled Ken out along with him. They were going out for dinner.

They went to the restaurant and ordered. Once their order arrived, they started having their food. " So ? How are they now ? Everything cool ? " Jade asked. Ken nodded. " Yep, they are fine now. Everything cool ". " Hmph. That girl really has some guts ". Jade shook his head. " I know right. If not for me stopping Luke, he would've smashed her life like it is nothing ". " So, he really let it be ? " " He let it be ". Jade turned to Ken. " For now ". Ken finished his sentence and Jade chuckled. " So, he has plans ? " Ken nodded. " Interesting ".

Leo came at his usual time, but Luke was home late. When Luke came in, Leo thought that he looked pretty exhausted. " What happened ? You are late ? " Leo asked worry clear in his voice. " Things are getting hectic recently. The new projects are to be taken care of. It is just the start there is more in the coming days ". Leo felt bad that Luke always worked so much, but it was his company, so he's got no time to slack off. " I will go take a shower ". Leo nodded and Luke went up to the room.

Leo went to cook and did his best and as fast as he can. Luke watched as Leo cooked and served everything hot. " Thank you so much ". Luke said with a smile. Leo smiled back saying it is nothing. Once they were done, Leo was doing the dishes while Luke sat on the couch. " You should go and sleep ". Leo yelled from the kitchen. " It is fine. I will wait ". Leo shook his head at how stubborn Luke is. He finished them and went up along with Luke.

Luke switched the lights off and got on bed. He was now used to, no, more like addicted to having Leo beside him to sleep. " Good night ". Leo smiled. " Good night. Sweet dreams ". " They will be sweet as long as you are in them ". " Sleep now. I thought you were tired ? " Luke smiled and closed his eyes. Leo fell asleep too listening to Luke's calm breath.

The next day (afternoon)

Ken walked into Luke's office along with Jade. " Hey. It's been a while ". " Yeah ". They sat together in Luke's office. Luke sat on the chair, while Ken and Jade sat on the couch. " I couldn't meet you since you joined ". " Nah, it is fine. Cool. I know how hectic it has been, so I understand ". " That is why I asked him to bring you here. So that we can have a meal together ". " It is fine actually ".

" No, don't say that. Just because you work under me doesn't mean you are not my friend. It is totally fine. You can come to see me anytime. If anyone says anything, tell him. He will take care of it ". Jade laughed. " Thank you ". " Yep, I will definitely help you ". Ken turned to Luke. " You are not the only one who gets home cooked lunch. I get it too ". He turned to Jade and smiled. He held onto Jade's arm smiling sweetly. Luke nodded with a raised eyebrow. " Nice ". Ken raised his chin up making Luke and Jade laugh. They talked away while having lunch.

Just like Luke said, he was coming late as the days went by. Leo didn't let Luke clean the dishes even if he insisted on it. He was having enough work already. He didn't want to make him work even more. So he declined it right away. One of the butlers brought the paintings home. Leo decided to put them in the other room after dinner. He was looking around the racks to put the paintings. While looking through the cabinets, he found a guitar in one of them. He wondered why it was there. He took it out and went to Luke who was in their room.

He opened the door and showed it to Luke. " Look what I found ". Luke looked up to see the guitar. " You play guitar and you never even told me ? " Luke moved to sit at the edge of the bed. " It has been a while since I played it. I had no time for it as the days went by ". Luke sat with the guitar. He strummed the strings to tune it and started singing.

He sang Fallin' by Dylan Brady. Luke sang it by looking at Leo the whole time. Leo smiled at the end. " You are such a good singer ". Luke chuckled. " Not really but thank you. I like it a lot ". Luke said patting the guitar, smiling fondly. " Will you teach me ? " " You want to learn? " Leo nodded. " Sure, why not ". " Will you start now ? " Luke chuckled. " Fine. Hold this first ". He gave the guitar to Leo to hold it.

Luke moved from his position and moved closer to Leo on the bed, a little to the behind of Leo. So that he can help him while he plays it. He looked at Leo from behind. He put Leo's fingers on the strings and asked him to try once.

Luke chuckled when it sounded a little awkward. " Hold it tightly. Use your finger pads to apply proper pressure. Try it once again. And for your wrist...use it like this ". He gave directions on how to play. It was better than before but not perfect. Luke held Leo's hand in place and asked him to strum it. " See. Now you see the difference ? " Leo turned to the side and noticed how close they were. But Luke didn't. Leo looked down.

" For the next one, put this here ". He was adjusting Leo's fingers and that is when Luke noticed how close they were. He then asked Leo to try it. Leo tried it a few times. But Luke was distracted and he was looking at Leo from the side. He just stared at Leo, but Leo didn't notice it this time. Luke didn't know what possessed him, but he bent down to Leo's neck and kissed Leo on his neck.
