Chapter 21 : Getting along well.

Third person point of view

Leo mentally slapped himself. He should have called Luke by himself, but he knew very well his brain will also be washed out when he washes his hands. He wouldn't remember it by the time he comes back. If they keep postponing, they might run out of ingredients, totally. " Why did you call ? " Luke asked from the other side. " I wanted to ask when you want to go for grocery shopping ". " What do you think ? When do you want to go ? " " Are you free today ? " " Yeah, I am ". " Then if we go home a little early, we can go after changing ". " Fine. I will be there on time. I will follow my wifey's orders since I am a good husband ".

Luke had a goofy grin on his face. Ken only shook his head at how love-struck Luke was. At least the expression he had said it all. Anyone would say that if they saw him right now. His eyes were sparkling like fireworks. Leo couldn't help but curse in his heart. " You are such an ass at times Luke. You know you are on speaker ? " Luke was surprised to hear that. " Why is that ? " " My hands are dirty, so I put it on speaker ". " So what ? I said the truth anyway. I don't mind it ". Leo just sighed. " Just hang up. I might die out of rage if I keep speaking to you ".

Jade had a hand covering his mouth trying to stifle his laughter, but it was coming out as snorts. " What time will you be home ? " Leo thought for a second. " Around 6 or something ". " Fine. I will also come by that time. Bye baby ". " Bye ". Leo yelled a little louder. Luke looked at his phone screen and chuckled. He put it aside and saw the teasing smile Ken was giving him. " What ? " " What were you speaking about ? "

" Why ? I am going to go on a date with my wifey. Jealous ? " Ken laughed at his words. " Do you know the look on your face? It is screaming that you are in love ". Luke shrugged and picked up his spoon to eat. " And jealous ? Me ? Huh ? " " Since you are a single-pringle. You should also get married. But it might not be possible. So just try getting a lover in case it is possible. It might work. Wonders do happen at times and miracles work too. Trust me ".

" Tsk. Now that you got married and not single anymore, you are insulting me ? I am single right now, but you need not really rub it on my face you know ". Ken pointed at himself and gave an expression like he is hurt. " I just said the truth ". Ken could only smile bitterly and pick up his spoon. Luke chuckled at his friend. On the other side, Jade started laughing as soon as he cut the call. Leo could only lower his head and scold Luke in his heart. " Wow ". Jade said as he was laughing. " Stop it already ". Leo went to wash his hands. He saw Jade still laughing after he came back. Jade laughed so hard that he had tears flowing out of his eyes.

Even on their way to lunch, he kept laughing every time he saw Leo's face. " Enough Jade ". Leo was getting irritated and his patience was running out. " Fine. I won't ". " What is so funny ? " " It is not that it is funny. Just that, it is cute. The way you keep bickering is so much like a couple in love. You are married anyway so it is just even cuter ". Leo rolled his eyes. " Whatever. Let's see what to have ". Jade nodded and didn't laugh anymore. " By the way, I will be joining 4 days later. Wanted to tell you ". Leo was surprised.

" So soon. Anyways all the best ". " Thank you ". Leo smiled and Jade did too. " Leo was the first one to reach home. He went to the kitchen and picked up a glass to drink water. He heard the door open and close. He stuck his head out to see Luke walk in. Luke walked up to Leo. " Shall we go after changing then ? " Leo nodded. " I will go up then ". " Do you want to have anything ? Snacks or anything to drink ? " Luke stopped his action of turning around to leave and turned to Leo again. " Juice should be fine ". " Okay ".

Luke sat on the chair as he saw Leo pick up another glass. He filled it with the juice and gave it to him. " What about you ? " Leo turned to him. " No, I am good. I will change first then ". Luke nodded taking a sip of his drink. Leo went to their room and washed up. He changed into a new set of clothes. He wore something more comfortable, a hoodie with jeans. He saw that Luke was still sitting in the chair and playing on his phone. " Come on, Luke. Why are you still sitting here ? Get up ". " Yes, yes. Going ".

He walked to the room to change. He also washed up and changed into a jeans and short sleeved t-shirt. He quickly went down. Leo saw Luke walking down the stairs. Now that he sees him casually dressed, he thought Luke had quite a youthful vibe when dressed up like this. Most of the time, he has always seen Luke only in suits or formals, which gave off a professional look. But casual dresses were rare. Not to lie, he felt that Luke looked good either way. He was out of his thoughts when he heard Luke.

" Let's go ". " How shall we go ? " Luke showed the keys in his hands. " I will drive ". Leo got up and they walked out. When they were locking the door, Leo remembered that they didn't change it yet. " What about the password ? " " I haven't thought of anything. You have any ideas ? " Leo shook his head. " Let it be for now. We will see after we come back ". Leo nodded and they walked to Luke's car.
