3 CHAPTER 3: A WONDERFUL SPECIMEN

"Whitey! Clean the place up!" Calista instructed the small kitten as she carried the bloodied man who was taller and heavier than her with ease, as if she was carrying a small bucket of grains.

If Susan had been there, she would have scolded Calista for several rounds. After all, wasn't Calista the same person always complaining about how heavy this and that was whenever she was around her?

And yet it was the same person who was carrying a grown-up man with ease as if he was air.

Calista didn't seem to be suffering at all as she carried the stranger into the tree house.

Calista didn't bring him to the second floor but took him to the guest bedroom on the first floor.

Seeing him all bloodied like that, she felt sorry for him, but she felt that he deserved it. Where was he going, trying to intrude into her place uninvited like that?

However, as she went back to the kitchen with a bucket, she couldn't help but wonder. Just where did he come from?

It was as if he appeared from nowhere. Could it be in this world, there were people like her too?

She couldn't help but get excited at the thought of it.

Calista ignored the fish that she was about to clean earlier and took the water from the small pot. She refilled the small pot and put it back over the fire before returning to the tree house.

She added more water to make it warm since it was hot and a small amount. After that, she tore the man's clothes without her expression ever-changing.

What was so special about a man's body, anyway?

However, looking at the stranger's body, she couldn't help but praise it wholeheartedly.

'A man that knows how to take care of himself. He is worthy of me, Calista!'

Fortunately, no one could hear her thoughts otherwise. Who knows how many people would have roasted her by now?

Calista carefully wiped the man's body, removing all the bloodstains and also exposing the wounds that the man had incurred before and after hitting her protective shield.

It was a miracle that he was still alive, even after such a gruesome attack. And being strong was one of the traits that Calista loved in a man. After all, would she have fallen for a senior twenty-three years her age ten years ago?

His body was tanned, and his muscles were something that she would write pages just talking about. And being shameless enough to touch that body, she couldn't help herself but feel them to the fullest.

Despite his body being lean when wearing clothes, making him look as if he was some scholar of some sort, he was very robust.

Her late husband didn't have such amazing muscles since he was already old, however, she had seen men with muscles in her twenty-seven years of age.

It was to the extent that she wouldn't drool over them, but appreciating them was another matter.

Looking at those abs that looked like chocolate blocks she last ate ages ago and definitely not in this world, she was determined to make this man part of her counterattack plan.

A lot of men had six-pack abs and yet that eight-pack abs tempted her too much, she couldn't help but caress it for a while. His genetics should be good, otherwise, how would he manage to get something that even modern men couldn't achieve?

Leaving the abdomen that took much of her attention, Calista shifted to the man's face, the one thing that made her carry him into the house in the first place.

The stranger had a handsome face she had never seen in her life. His genes were definitely top notch and just thinking of what his eyes would be like once he was awake. She couldn't help but lick her lips.

His shoulder-length hair was long enough for a man in her era. It wasn't a must for men to have long hair, but it wasn't taboo for them to have long hair as well.

Her late husband didn't have long hair but kept it short. However, now that she was seeing a handsome face paired with long hair, her aesthetic also changed.

When it comes to dealing with an ill person, there is no such thing as being shy. Besides, in her vocabulary, shamelessness and shyness didn't exist at all.

So, when she was done cleaning the upper body, Calista, the widow who if it was three decades ago would have been forced to kill herself to maintain her chastity because she had touched another man who wasn't her husband, stripped the man naked.

'Oh!' she exclaimed inwardly as she bit her lower lip while her gaze was fixated there.

'He is a man indeed!' she praised before she started wiping the lower body shamefully.

"According to the customary law, since I have seen and touched your body, then dear, you are mine. Besides, I just saved you, otherwise who knows what fate would be waiting for you if I hadn't seen you?" when it comes to shamelessness, no one in the two villages could surpass her.

They weren't just aware of that fact yet.

"I have saved you and you don't have much on you, so how can I get my payment? No matter how I look at it, you still have to reward me and your body will just suffice!" she continued uttering nonsense.

"You have such a handsome face. If I let you roam around like that, aren't you afraid of being devoured whole until there is nothing left of you? It's your fortune that you have met someone like me. I will make you in and pamper you like a princess. So, when you wake up, just obediently stay by my side or I will make you suffer worse than the way I found you earlier!" Calista seemed to be enjoying her monologue as she seriously wiped her lower body just slightly longer than required.

"I need to handle your face. I can't have you run around like this with such a face. Who knows how many hearts you would break? I won't have my man make me wear a green hat. So, before you wake up, you will have to undergo some great changes. Just don't hate me when you see it in the future. Just know that I was doing it for your good!" she cheerfully convinced herself as she put away the wet cloth she had been using to wipe the man.

Calista stood on her feet and walked towards the cabinet where she took out a blanket and walked back to the husband she had just picked up and draped it over him.

"Wait for me here, dear. Wifey will go and bring back something good for you. Just be a good boy and stay still!" she said as she looked at the man lying unconscious on the carpeted floor before walking away.

However, what Calista didn't know as she left the room at that moment, the man lying unconscious on the floor suddenly flinched.

'Interesting!'
