Journal Entry #2

{4th Era year 4}

2 years! 2 insufferable years! You know that annoying person who is a complete asshole that you wish could just fall and break something. That one person that Karma should hit like a truck?

Got someone in mind? If not lets say you do. Nevertheless Master Neloth fit that to a tee. What? Really? yes. Shocker right? ehh, lets be real.

While of course he was mystified for a moment after my introduction that lasted all about 10 seconds before he wanted to experiment on me. The only thing that stopped him was the fact I had a Dedric Prince as a parent.

Which in all honesty I don't think would have truly stopped him.

Still, I did learn a lot from him. As a centuries old being, he did have many things to teach. Just most teachings were him ranting and me having to decipher said rants to actually learn something from him.

While he was primarily an enchanter, he did have a long time to learn magic in all schools of thought. Through his many rambles and such I was building a theory.

You see, I had three separate forms of "Magic" when everything was broken down. So I wanted to determine if there were any significant factors that Linked them.

To give a simple explanation to the three forms:

Magicka: Through the use of Runic languages and Magical energy (Magicka) create phenomena in the form of spells. Plain words, use runes + intent + energy = Magic.

Magecraft: Through the use of Magical energy and inherent "Mysteries" associated with natural occurrences, actualize magic in the form of casting. Said casting requires calculations based on the subject "matter". Potentially requires catalysts as fuel for "Mysteries". Plain words, Use mysteries + energy + calculations = Magic.

Ritual Magic: Through the use of "sacrifices" (can be energies) converse or make a plea with an entity to use their strengths and/or domains. This can be in the form of crafting charms imbued with their power or an actual attack. Plain words, Sacrifice + entity + energy = magic.

Now mind you most of this is VERY brief. Thus being the case, we look at what is common in these brief statements.

First is an action or "intent". Magicka's use of runes qualifies. Magecraft's calculations qualifies. Finally Ritual magic's plea or "Prayer" qualifies.

Next is the actualization of the craft in question. Magicka's spells, Magecraft's spells and Ritual magic's response are all examples of this process. They are officially being activated in some capacity.

Finally we have the end point. The action and reaction of utilizing these forms of magic. The various differences aside of HOW they do it, we should look at what they have DONE.

In each case there was a common thing that they all did. They moved passed what was potentially impossible and/or only probable and created a scenario where it DID happen.

A simple example with Magicka. A fire spell creates a flame to light kindling. It was possible without it but through the use of Magic you create a scenario where it did happen.

These thoughts led me to create my theory. One that I was made aware of due to one simple fact.

The fact in question? Magicka comes from Atherius. More specifically Magnas. My thoughts on the God like beings in question aside, we look at what these individuals represent in overall cosmology of Mundus.

"Change"

Thus the theory I wrote, Magic is Change.

At first Master Neloth looked at me like I was an Ignorant child. Rightfully so in some capacity. But that's the thing, an ignorant child doesn't have the centuries of bias that he held.

Once he himself looked into the examples and also had me demonstrate several different forms of Magic. While he wasn't convinced of the theory itself he saw merit in the thought process.

In the end It was two years before we were to set out. Master Neloth included as he was appraised of the coming events. I wasn't too worried things would change all that much due to him having escaped the events early anyways.

He decided to start growing his Mushroom in Solstheim ahead of schedule. Myself and Granny Viola were to head to the Breton homeland of High rock. Specifically we were headed to Ravenspire.

Sadly it was to be by ship for a few weeks. Thus I was regulated to more practicing.

Good news that occurred during my time in Morrowind was that my magical research into the theory brought me the pleasant surprise of becoming a Sequence 5: Traveler. Along with the change came the ability to travel through the layers of the world.

Though this came as a very costly ability that required actual spells to support. For now it was regulated as more of a "blink" with limited range without that support.

The reason for this is Mundus doesn't operate the same as the LOM world (lord of mysteries world). While there I would travel through the spirit world where direction and distance doesn't matter, Mundus was a different beast.

Mundus had layers to it's structure. In the outermost layer is the Void barrier or "Sithis" and Atherius. Next is the planes of Oblivion surrounding the planet of Nirn. Next the Dragon veil that surrounded Nirn, a recent addition but one nonetheless. Next comes Nirn itself, The planet. In all of these though there is a commonality in them.

Shadows. That was the answer I settled on for actual traveling whenever It came to it. Using the Shadows of the world I could actually travel similarly to traversing the spirit world. Still it was slower and definitely not the same.

A shadow spell of my own design to accommodate this was shadow mark. Using Azazel we were able to create marks that would act as spatial coordinates for Traveling. Then by using them we could locate their presence in the real world while Traveling.

It was something we recently developed though so we didn't have any coordinates to truly test them on the ship. The ride did take 3 weeks after all.

The other good thing was Magician also advanced. I was now a sequence 6: Faceless. The only ability I gained was the shapeshifting ability. Though it was originally limited to similar species, with a mutation of both advancements we tweaked the ability to enhance it.

This resulted in a few things. The mutation itself was for my body to be more "Dense" more structure for me to spread out if you will. This would allow for a more variety when shifting. This density was borrowed from the magical worms that created the structure of my body.

TN: (The lord of mysteries Magical creature form is where he is taking the weight from. Due to being a half imaginary/ half real being it could have any structure. Thus allowing the "Density" to be malleable. In this case he is just transferring that property to his "human" form.)

This also resulted in my weight also dramatically increasing as well. Even as a small child I weighed the same as some body builders. Feather magic to the rescue though. The difference in mass didn't effect "me" so much as everything I interacted with.

Though when a 4ft 13 year old weighing about 250 to 300 pounds (113Kg to 136kg) hits you and knocks you flat on your ass, I would imagine it would be quite a shock.

Our arrival into High rock while warm was ultimately just a side effect of fear of Granny. She really did a number on Breton Society as a whole turns out. Most of the populace was aware of stories of the woman they call "The Orque Nord".

Since her fury was blind and the knights didn't take well to a woman beating them, they called her after the orcs. She also didn't take that kindly and further humiliated them.

The cycle continued until she left and the knights were able to breath a sigh of relief. Until now that is. Since her first order of business was to get me a title. Which meant showing up at Shornhelm a few days later and crashing the home of the Count Meunier.

She challenged the knights of the Count to try to best me in single and group combat. Needless to say after the first went down easily and the others began to try. I had a decent workout for the following week. Though some questions were thrown our way to my existence and how the fuck I could weigh so much, passed it off under the umbrella of magic. There had been worse excuses.

In the end Granny was able to meet with who she really wanted to. The current leader of house Ravenwatch, Countess Gwendis. Though showing no visible signs of her true nature we were quickly acquainted. Thus after the impromptu tournament of me vs Breton culture, we were invited to castle Ravenwatch.

We met with the former Count Verandis as well as the various initiates of House Ravenwatch. The house in particular happened to be all vampires. At least most of them. A few outliers existed as well. Including a new addition to their family.

The woman in question was tending to her child. Said child just so happened to be to my mystical senses one who held a lot of potential. Such was the case with those born with dragon blood.

Nemi was her name. She was apparently born in Evermore, another "state" in high rock. She happened to be familiar with House Ravenwatch as such there was no friction when it came time for her to be relocated here.

Due to the bloodline of her child, she was allowed to become a resident of the manor. The former Count Verandis had taken to be her caretaker for a time when she first arrived. To keep her and the child's identity safe they would be known as the Corvine household.

Hence Nemi Corvine was a permanent fixture of the manor and a well kept secret. Most of the "normal" members not knowing just who her child really is. And there was no plan for the future to reveal themselves either.

The 4 year old child in question was a little girl named Revamier. The little raven haired child loved all of the people of House Ravenwatch and actively sought them all to play.

She quite liked my displays of Shapeshifting and slight of hand.

It was soon decided for my Emiya household to become a subsidiary under House Ravenwatch. This was after it was revealed about my long life expectancy with similarities to the vampires themselves.

Now under a proper House I could be considered a Noble of High rock. Though this didn't go over great with most of Ravenspire's nobility, at first. With my introduction of my magical theory I was a lot more accepted due to the Genius hat being on my head.

With the introduction of the Theory of Change as it was being called now I was to be properly introduced into Breton Society. Such was the case I had to throw a party for that.

Countess Gwendis allowed the allocation of a small manor for it and with the help of my mother's residents of her realm. I was to celebrate my 14th Birthday with the nobility of High Rock from all over the providence.

The whole affair was mostly boring but extremely traditional due to the additions of some of the former nobility that hung out in her realm. The current Nobility themselves though were surprised of it and were full of praise.

My mother also represented herself in disguise funny enough. While the few Bretons brave enough the hit on her, they were quickly dissuaded from doing so.

The end of the night belonged to my mother as we hung out in her garden.

Thus after the entry into High society, I remained a recluse to them. Mostly focusing on my research and potential spells.

Most of my research was to the exploration into other worlds in fact. This was because of a certain fact that bugged us. Even with the introduction of a shard of Oblivion we, myself and Arrodes, were unable to invoke the inner realm.

It remained in a growing stage due to not receiving the information and power of the final pillar that made up my existence. Thus it became a priority to travel soon. Or at least soon to a mortal's sense of time.

So far the idea was literally a cannon. Extreme speeds as well as necessary protections for the void were the name of the game. And it had only just begun. But I was missing a piece that could potentially kick this thing off.

Thus we would need to wait one more year until we could continue.

{4th Era year 5}

It started with the rumors of Vivec's disappearance spreading across the continent. Then came the inevitable. The eruption of The Red Mountain.

I could feel the quakes of It even as far as we were. Looking into the sky over the next few days was winter all over again. The sky was darkened and a haze even reached High rock. Though it was mostly unaffected crops did suffer some decline in the aftermath.

The Noble Houses themselves were rattled in the commotion of the natural disaster. Thus some panic was spread to the commonwealth as well.

The far reaching consequences of the Eruption though were only just beginning. But they would take some time to truly show.

In the meantime it was time to go to Skyrim.

The Court Demands you pay the fine,

So just remember, we accept stones.

An:// So we have our MC at 14 years old now. Such being the case we are getting on our way to actual traversing the multiverse. I hope you liked the little magic theory. It is more of a personal belief as well as inspired by other works. Fun stuff.

Next is Skyrim with an important meeting with a tried and true being.

Love you guys and hope you are having a good read.!
