After August month, I'm going to continue this book and I won't stop till the end, I swear. Please add this book to your library and wait till I come back for you. Love you as always... Ummah! (´∩。• ᵕ •。∩`) Never in her wildest dreams, she would have thought that her past trauma would greatly affect her life. Annie... Annie... Annie... Those words were like needles to her ears... Like it was a direct call from hell. She couldn't help but break down. Her eyes welled up every time she heard that name. "It's okay." He said. He wanted to make her overcome her trauma, her nightmare. He just wanted to see her being happy and cheerful like she had done... Always. "We have a long path ahead of us." He spoke again. "What path?" Annabella snapped at him. "You're just a mere teenager, aren't you?" The boy's mouth started twitching. "Of course not. Don't underestimate me." "Then tell me... Who are you?" "It's better to know less. The more you know, the more you get into trouble. I don't want that, Big Sister." Ewww... Big sister? Here the story starts... Annabella Zoey Parker was a girl who loved the concept called, 'Single Forever.' She never wanted to get married not because she didn't believe in love or because she got betrayed by her ex-boyfriend. In fact, she didn't even have a boyfriend. It was NOT because she wasn't attractive enough. She was actually a beautiful girl despite being a little pale like a vampire. The thing was, she loved being alone and doing her work peacefully without no one there to meddle in her business. However, her parents especially her mother didn't understand that. She wanted to see her daughter get married as soon as possible. "You have to marry soon. You are almost 26. How long do you want to stay single? Until you turn 30s or 40s?!" Annabella took a deep breath before turning towards her mother with a serious face. "Okay, I'll get married." Mrs Parker's eyes lit up instantly. "Really?" She asked with a wide smile on her face. "Yeah, but on one condition. You should wait till next year." Annabella stated. Mrs Parker was confused. "But why?" "Because he's still seventeen. He'll become an adult next year so we can get married right away." Mrs Parker: "..." __________________ Age is just a number when it comes to Love... Find your happiness, your true love, your peace. His identity

"Ewww... What the heck?" Damien took a tissue and wiped his face with it. "Why did you spit on me?"

Richard's mouth twitched. "I didn't spit. It's just water. Water, okay?"

Damien pressed his lips together. "Water mixed with saliva."

"My saliva is precious. So you must be proud." Richard patted his chest with a smug smile on his face.

Damien could only roll his eyes.

A few moments later...

"Seriously, Damien boy! Are you really dating an older sister?" Richard's face showed a look of disbelief as he stated when he recalled about what they were talking.

His question made Damien squint his eyes unhappily. "No way! Are you crazy? I just wanted her help because I needed a companion for yesterday's banquet. I can't ask for other girls' help because they might pester me in the future, unlike sister Annabella. She's an adult and mature enough."

"Are you sure?" Richard arched one of his eyebrows.

Damien was rendered speechless. In reality, he wasn't sure about his own statement.

"Whatever!" He could only reply that way, pretending to be casual.

After a while, he broke the silence between them by asking, "What do you think about this accident? The collapse of the crystal chandelier...?"

His question made Richard think for a while. He took his tablet out of his suitcase and showed Damien evidence he had collected from the hotel.

"According to them, I assume that the accident is a pure coincidence. No one planned it. At least, we can think like that for the time being. I'll investigate it further."

"You'd better be quick!"

When Richard heard that, his face turned dark as black lines appeared in it. "I'm busy, Mr Teenager. I'll try my best. But I can't guarantee cause I'm a human and I have tons of other work to do."

"Oh, fine then. I'll help you with that after recovering," Damien promised. "I won't have cases for the time being. Finally, they are going to leave me alone for a moment."

Richard sneered. "Look who's talking. You are the one who pestered them every day to gain a complicated mission. Now that you got one, are you truly gonna back off?"

His words made Damien arch his eyebrows. "You're thinking too much, bro. I mean uncle."

"Uncle?" Richard spat out in disbelief. "What the hell!"

The teenager chuckled in satisfaction. "You're thirty six this year. What's wrong with calling you uncle?"

Richard rolled his eyes. "I'm twenty six, you motherfucker! NOT THIRTY SIX!"

Damien shrugged his shoulders in a mischievous demeanour. "It's the same."

Richard: "..."

This time Damien's phone started ringing, diverting their attention to it. With a sigh, Damien took it from the bedside table. When he saw the caller's ID, he was a bit shocked.

"You'd better go now," He demanded. "This call is private."

Richard gave him the side eye but he still went outside the ward, waving his hand at Damien. "Okay, fine. I am going. Bye! See you at the department soon."

"I wish the same. Wait, what about your suitcase?"

"I got it for ya. You can study it more efficiently while resting."

Damien shook his head. Seriously?

Then he hid the suitcase under the hospital bed and answered the phone call. Before he could speak, the other party blurted out, "Damien, where are you?"

"Nah, you don't have to know," Damien said with a poker face.

The other side was silent for a moment before snapping at him. "Are you insane? You're injured. I want to see you. The hell! Please tell me where you are. I beg you, Damien. Please."

"Sorry." With that, he hung up the call. A deep sigh escaped through his lips as he rubbed his forehead.

He was about to put his phone away when it went off once again. With a soft growl, he answered it without looking at the caller's name and snapped at that person.

"The heck! Can't you understand my language?"

"..."

Annabella didn't know what to say when she heard him fume at her unexpectedly. She cleared her throat in embarrassment.

Damien came back to his senses when he heard her voice. He drew back his hand and looked at the phone screen. Scratching above his ear awkwardly, he put the phone closer to his ear again.

"Hee hee. Annabella, Hi! Pardon me. I mistook you for someone else. Tell me... How are you?"

Annabella quickly entered the topic without beating around the bush. "I'm fine. What's your ward number?"

Damien blinked his eyes a few times, looking around.

"What's your hospital?" He asked instead.

"City Hospital of course."

"My father transferred me to Green Grace Hospital. You don't need to bother to come here. Just take a rest, okay?"

"No way. I want to see you and make sure you are fine. Tell me the ward number already."

"Gosh!" Damien sighed. "Can't you understand that I'm fine? My voice is great, isn't it?"

"Your voice indicates nothing, Dummy." Annabella insisted, "Tell me~"

Damien had no choice but to give up.

"Okay. Fine, fine. I'll send you the address."

"Mmm... That's more like it!"

Hanging up, Annabella turned to face her friend with a smile. "He's in Green Grace Hospital. We have to go there."

"Green Grace Hospital?" Grana was surprised. "Only rich people afford to get treatments there. I had no idea that your friend is filthy wealthy. Unexpectedly unexpected."

Annabella shook her shoulders. "Yep. He's rich. Like a lot..."

"How old is he? Cherish your chance and climb onto his thighs."

"Ewww..." Annabella wrinkled her nose. "I can't do that! He's a teenager."

"Tsk, what a pitiful pity!"

Annabella's mouth twitched. "Crazy!" She muttered under her breath.

"What are we gonna do now?"

"Of course, let's get the hell out of here." Annabella's voice sounded firm. "I don't feel unwell anymore."

Grana nodded. "That's great then."

Although Mrs Parker didn't quite like the idea of getting her daughter discharged that soon, due to Annabella's never-ending coaxing and convincement, she finally agreed.

Grana dropped Mrs Parker at her apartment before going to Green Grace Hospital with Annabella.

"Should I come?" She asked hesitatingly.

"No." Annabella shook her head. "You're already late for work because of me. Please leave, Grie. I can manage."

"But..." Grana was still reluctant making Annabella chuckle.

"Silly, I'm gonna meet one of my friends. Not some kind of a monster, okay? Don't worry!"

"I know." Grana sighed. "But your body is still weak so..."

Annabella cut her off. "Not at all. I'm totally fine."

"Huh! Fine then. I'll get going."

"Okay, bye."

Annabella waited for her car to disappear from her eyesight before entering the hospital. It was her first time going to a fancy hospital. Everything around her surprised her. They all smelled of money. She was sure that if she wanted to go there to buy some medicine for fever or cold, it would cost her a monthly salary. Good for rich people!

She used an elevator to reach Damien's ward and when she got there, she was even more surprised. His ward was prescribed as a VIP room. It made her realize that... He wasn't just rich. He was super duper rich!

Gosh! How could he serve others some coffee as a waiter boy?

Who was he?

She didn't know and she was so excited to know about his real identity.

Taking a deep breath, she pushed open the door to his VIP room and the minute she entered, a revelation greeted her.

Guess what? She got answers to her questions within a split second!
