We see the imperial family doing their daily routine as always except that the empress ensures that the poison is only on Prince Xiao's food as the chefs prepare lunch. While in a hidden passage, we can see shadow guards recording all of the empress's actions to use them against her when the day comes.

In the emperor's office, a shadow guard suddenly appears kneeling immediately, "Emperor, we were able to find her and will start informing her of the things that she has missed and to bring her back when it is time to judge the current empress," the shadow guard said knowing that these are good news for him.

"Good and what about the empress?" he asked curiously if everything was going according to plan, "She is now overlooking the chefs while preparing lunch. She still doesn't know that the poison only has the effects that she expects on the deadly poison she has hidden in her room," said the shadow guard.

"Keep it that way and make sure none of the recruits for the military and shadow guards pities her. It will be their mistake if they take her side," said the emperor, ensuring the new recruits are warned about what happens to the traitors.

Meanwhile in Prince Xiao's room

"Xiangu, I'm curious about why the empress wants to make sure my food isn't poisoned and invited me to eat with them," Xiao asks his personal maid Xiangu who has been loyal to him since the day he was born.

She has a simple yet beautiful face and many people ask her why she is serving a prince instead of looking for a rich or noble husband as she has many suitors after her but rejects them anytime they insult Prince Xiao saying that she will marry one that respects her master and her decisions.

"My prince, the only thing that i can tell you is that be careful of your words in front of the empress she might harm you even if the emperor is there," Xiangu warned the prince knowing that he takes her words to heart since he sees her as a second mother. "Now let's get you ready for lunch with them," she says while preparing simple but elegant clothes for him.

As he gets ready for lunch with his family excited to finally eat with them after so long of always eating alone or with the empress but unknown to him every servant loyal to him and to the emperor is nervous because they know today is the day he gets poisoned by the empress.

But reassured that during his coma state as he would be in great care as the emperor secretly told them of his future familiar that they would meet after he woke up. They are nervous yet excited at the same time but in the empress's eyes to her, they are happy to get rid of the second prince as she doesn't know that her life will be ruined by the ones she calls family.

After Xiao got dressed he started heading towards the dining hall with Xiangu right behind him secretly informing the servants that they were passing by to get ready for the plans and then they leave to inform the rest of the servants.

As they arrived at the dining hall Prince Xiao didn't know that at this lunch he will cause a huge 'tragedy' not for him, but for the current empress.
