They also started to search around the empress' hidden room and found more clues about the assassinations attempts on the emperor's beloved, they started to collect them and made copies for themselves in order to report to the emperor but knowing that the empress is mostly present during normal meetings they can risk it, so they decided to keep it until the familiar of the second prince arrives. Then it hit them the emperor's beloved was hiding from the empress and faked her death in front of her child she must have told Prince Xiao beforehand so that he can be a lot freer without her since the fake death of her, the assassination attempts on Prince Xiao was less than when she was there.
