PROLOGUE

Today is the big day.

Almeda will have to carry out the mission that will change the course of her life and anchor her name in history. Her identity, her past, everything will be forgotten the moment she passes the guards who hold the entrance to the Dyn's Temple.

Hidden in the surrounding forest and accompanied by her godfather, Carwyn, Almeda was biting her nails. Sweat glistened on her face. She wore her gravitational outfit, allowing her to stay taped to the floor - though if she jumps, she will land slowly. Her golden eyes were glued to the position of the tower's six guards, the Great Gate's two guards and the last four doing their patrol. Carwyn spoke:

"- Almeda. My words won't be comforting, but they may allow you to concentrate. This mission isn't just a mere infiltration, it's all your life. You won't leave this city in years. Don't let yourself be spotted, and never speak... Understood? This secret will remain between us.

- Understood. I promise you to bring back gravity to Golomen, our tribe as well as the light. I won't perish before that. See you in three days, at the southern point of the Temple.

- At dawn?

- Good joke, Carwyn. Unfortunately, we have no time for that. "

After this short discussion, Almeda's sword was illuminated. She descended from the tree branch, her blade glowing brighter as time passed. After pulling her collar against her face, only her piercing eyes came out. Almeda put her hand against the pommel of her sword, ready to blind the guards.

Her steps were getting slower and slower...

A short moment passed and she heard the alarm's ringing; the light from her weapon had alerted one of the guards, who apparently had a superior visual acuity. In an instant, Almeda was surrounded by a dozen of fighters, their spear pointed towards her fine silhouette.

Under her collar, she smiled and dropped her sword to the ground, causing a sudden noise that frightened the guards.

During this short moment, the female warrior had the time to pick up her weapon and plant two of them right in between the eyes. The arduous training that she endured along with her former companion had paid off. The rest of the small troop was amazed by the speed with which she managed to attack their comrades.

One of them brandished his sword against the enchanted blade of Almeda, only to destroy his own weapon against her sacred artifact. She took the opportunity to cut off his hand, before bending her wrist up and down, so that Blade Hud's point could at the same time bump the chin of the soldier in front of her. There are now only eight left. Having no time to waste, Almeda took an innocuous posture and frowned; the real fight begins now.

She wedged her blade between her teeth and in a movement of hands, made four swords appear between her fingers. She tightened the embrace of Blade Hud, her enchanted blade. Her foot slightly back, she took off before starting to spin on herself. Her figure adopted the rhythm of the ambient wind, her body began to break up and crack, like a mirage. One by one, the guards fell, stiff dead.

On each of them, an "A" was etched next to their wound, which was fuming. Almeda loved to mark her enemies with her favorite weapon.

But at this moment, the most important thing was to make history.

After the fight, she dusted off her clothes and put away her many swords as well as Blade Hud. Her eyes pierced the smoke that had arisen during her various movements, looking for the guard who had the same size as her. She took his clothes and put them on, being careful not to alert anyone. Each of the corpses transformed to dust, the blood evaporating only a few moments after.

In these short moments, nothing had happened. Except a perfectly successful infiltration and the change of identity of our heroine. Almeda has now become Cadfael, a Dyn Temple's warrior, silent and thirsty for adventure.
