234 Time skip
[Yuito's POV]
Time moved on as I continued making the best of it. This winter, me and my family spent most of the time together with even Komi's parent allowing her to spend time with us most of the time.
They loved their daughter very much, and if it meant happiness for her, they were not opposed to the idea of us living together.
I also dealt with Marin's greatest trouble in her life as the man she chose to be with. When her father returned to Japan and tried to spend time with her before returning to his family for Christmas, I confronted him.
I expected conflict between us and I went to him with justified anger. I even got ready to give my opinion to him in the form of three or four punches but things did not go as expected.
Marin's father was guilty when I confronted him. He did not lash out or give me excuses but admitted everything to me with tears in his eyes.
He said even though he betrayed her, he was still her father and he loved her. Though he was the worst father anyone could have, he said the reason he still came back time and time again was because he still cared for her.
So the confrontation went more peaceful and emotional than I expected where he cried and begged me to take care of her. To give her the happiness he never could.
He handed her completely to me and said he would not be showing his face around us again.
But still, I was angry but respecting Marin's wish of not hurting her father, I just gave him a nod and said I would take care of her.
After that, the daughter-father duo bid farewell to each other in private and when Marin came back to me, her smile was free of any previous burden it held.
She hugged me and thanked me.
It was an emotional rollercoaster for all of us and everything ended on a good note.
..for us that is. I am not sure about her father as I have already informed his new family of Marin's existence and what he did.
That was a problem he had to deal with. It was revenge for giving daddy issues to my waifu.
After everything was dealt with, we went on a vacation for New Year and spent time together. The dynamic between the family changed for the better with Kurumi spending more time in her human form than she did in her wolf form.
We enjoyed our vacation and even ended up filming some parts for the YouTube channel and to keep my fans updated.
We accompanied Sumire in her art exhibition and even joined Marin in one of her model shootings. Not to mention I also went on different interviews to hype up my upcoming title fight. We ended up doing a multitude of things together.
By the end of January, we returned back to our home and got ready to start the new year. School was going to start again and it was going to be the third year and we were going to graduate soon.
After we graduate, we would have a lot more freedom as we were not exactly planning on continuing college. Especially not in Japan.
Maybe we would still be getting a college degree but that did not require us to go to University. There were other ways to get it, especially if you are as rich as me.
Speaking of being rich, I am worth hundreds of millions of dollars right now but I have still not cracked the billion mark which I expect to cross hopefully this year as I have invested in a lot of pharmacies.
Why does that matter you ask? Well, Covid would happen at the end of this year and I expect the stock of pharmacies to rise by a lot.
I even owned a few mask-making companies right now in preparation for that. With my fame, I could advertise it and make a bunch of profit.
It's kinda messed up setting up a business for a pandemic but what else can I do? It's going to happen anyway so better make the most of it.
Actually, I could even help with the development of proper vaccines. I could just ask the author to tell me the ingredients used in the vaccines which would boost the process hugely.
On another note, I had an online friend now in the form of Saki we messaged each other every day even during my vacation.
I made sure to reserve at least an hour before sleeping as we would text each other. It was almost pitiful how happy she was whenever we texted or sent voice messages. She likely had no other friends to text like this.
The other girls were also aware of this new girl I was texting. Although they did not know why I was interested in her so much, they just kind of accepted her as a possible new member of the family.
Although Marin did ask me, "But what's so special about her? If you want another girl, why not Chizuru?"
In the end, she just settled with my lack of answer when I said someday, I will tell her why Saki is a special case.

I stared at my phone and waited for Saki to reply but it never came. I could guess why as she must be panicking or something, much like an introvert like her would.
I could almost picture it in my head.
I chuckled as I switched off my phone and put it aside. Then I wrapped my arms around Marin and Sumire who were on both sides.
"You're going to be out tomorrow?" Marin asked me in a whisper.
"Yeah, seems like it." I said.
"You should introduce her to us soon." She said.
"It's not like that. I am doing this for other reasons than trying to get together with her." I said, "She needs me."
What I said was true. I did not have any intention of having her in the harem or things like that. I am just going to save her, not only from the future that awaits her but from her self-hating mentality.
I wanted to help her and not only that, the author also insisted that we save her in every sense of the word.
Marin went silent and just buried in her chest.
She did not ask questions anymore.
She trusts me.
