211 Null Attacks

[3rd POV]

Invisible attacks.

It was a technique only one person in each generation was able to master in the world of lookism.

The technique involves attacking your opponent's blind spot so fast that it becomes invisible to them.

It seemed like a very straightforward technique, but it was a very difficult technique to execute much less have mastery over it.

The character known in Looksim who can use this technique is Sinu Han, who acquired this technique after years of continuous fighting under 'Workers' after he sold himself to save Big Deal.

It was a rare and unique technique that was sure to make anyone who had mastery over it, formidable. If you have learned this technique, you could be said to be at the top of the world in terms of combat.

Yet, was it enough to be the best striker in the world? Was it enough to go undefeated for 37 fights against other top strikers in the world?

No. It was not.

The technique that Wonderboy used against Yuito was something above invisible attacks. It could be said to the final evolution of said technique.

Null attacks.

It was just a name Stephen Thompson liked to call it. There was no official name as he was the only one who knew of this technique, meaning he was the one who invented it.

It was something he was able to achieve as a genius striker who has trained in martial arts since the age of three. And after thirty years of training, he had perfected this technique.

It had a similar concept to invisible attacks but it takes it even further.

In this advanced technique, attacking someone in his blind spot with ruthless speed to make it invisible was only the most basic part.

This technique requires you to make no sound until you have hit your opponent, basically making your kicks faster than the speed of sound.

Then you have to make sure the attacks have no origin. This means that your opponent will not be able to predict your attack from your body. Even the tiniest shift in the eyes or even the hands could foretell an attack and this technique requires you to erase all that. Your attack should not have a start or origin.

Finally, you have to completely erase your intent to your attacks. This was the tricky part that took him years to fully master. It means having no intention to hit your opponent but at the same time, maintaining your impeccable accuracy. How you even start going on about how to achieve that was a question.

It was an impossible feat that only he managed to achieve.

It was also what earned him the name, Wonderboy.

He leaves his opponents to wonder, where? when? what? how?. Most of the time, his opponents did not know what knocked them out or what hit them. Only after watching replays were they made aware that they were kicked.

It was a technique that brought even the prodigy, Yuito to his knees.

No one in the world could even come close to competing against him with the technique. The only way to even fight against null attacks was to be durable enough to take a few hits from Wonderboy and tackle him to the ground.

If that was not done, Wonderboy could not lose. No one could beat him when he was allowed to stand on his two feet.

He was, without a doubt the best striker in the world.

The man who has perfected 'attack'.

Yet Wonderboy was left in awe of the way Yuito still managed to dodge his kicks and was even able to catch his feet.

He gazed down at the eyes of the boy who had caught a kick without origin, without image, without sound or even intention.

How someone was able to catch a null attack was something even Wonderboy himself didn't know.

But of course Wonderboy did not panic when he saw his null attack being stopped. In his long life of 33 years, it was not the first time someone could stop a null attack.

For a moment, Wonderboy saw the image of the man who defeated him and manage to stop his null attacks, overlapped with the image of the young fighter.

The man had the kindest smile one could imagine.

'Georges..?' Wonderboy called out in his head before shaking off the thought.

He put his focus back on his opponent whose eyes shone in an unnatural purple glow when he looked at it.

Everyone who experienced his null attacks for the first time had different reactions. Some were left bewildered, panicked, serious, and solemn while most were afraid.

Yet it was only the second time he saw someone smile after experiencing his null attacks.

And it was not similar to the smile he got before either. This smile held insanity and it sent a shiver down his spine

Yuito let go of his feet and Wonderboy moved away from his opponent.

His opponent actually let him go instead of using the chance to take him down. The meaning was clear to Wonderboy.

He stood unmoving and watched as Yuito slowly got up to his feet and crack his neck. He still had the same smile on his face.

Wonderboy saw Yuito's savage smile overlap with that man's kindest smile.

He clenched his fist as he remembered his humiliating defeat back then.

Was this boy going to be the one who was able to deal with his null attacks directly? Just like that man?

.

.

No. Absolutely not.

He was not going to lose. Not again.

He was in his prime now and had completely mastered his techniques.

'This time..' He said to himself while looking at the approaching Yuito.

'I will win.'

[3rd POV]

"Ladies and gentleman." Joe Rogan said with a serious tone while he sat on the commentator's table at two of his other colleges

Everyone in the stadium was quiet and even those who watched this from home couldn't help but fix their eyes on the screen as they looked at the strange scene that unfolded.

Yuito was on the net and after catching Wonerboys's feet, the two just looked at each other as if suddenly coming into an agreement. Then they separated and met in the middle of the octagon as if to restart the match.

Everyone had questions in their mind, why didn't Wonderboy finish Yuito who was clearly rocked? Why did Yuito let go of Wonderboy when he had a great chance to grapple him?

But even with all their questions and confusion, they knew something was up as they could feel the atmosphere between the two, be it from their seat or their home.

"We are 2:56 minutes into the first round but I believe.." Joe said to the mic.

"The match is only about to start."

Silence followed as no one commented further.

Then when it was exactly 3 minutes into the first round, Yuito and Wonderboy met in the middle of the octagon.

Then the fight between Yuito and Wonderboy truly starts.

Author : Can anyone guess who 'the man' that defeated Wonderboy and was able to directly deal with his null attacks was?
