Chapter 16

<1st P.O.V>

Small breaths heaved against the wooden door.. met with even larger metallic gasps barely audible beside it.

It was Bonnie… it's nightmarish brother waiting for me to open the door ever so slightly.

But it wouldn't get this chance as I held it shut.. the shuffle of footsteps leaving the door.

Slowly opening the old door, I was met with nothing as the light flashed on.

Heaving a sigh of relief as the monster left, the sound of small clicks came from the bed.

Flipping my head, I saw a small Freddle twitching madly on his bed.

Only giving it a few flashes, it was quickly scared off behind the bed frame like lightning.

Continuing my movements, I ran to the right door, listening for those steppy steps, but heard none.

Slowly pushing open the door and with the click of my flashlight, the nightmarish smile of chica stared at me from down the hall.

*Click*

*Click*

*Click*

Flashing her a few times seemed to do the trick as she scuttled away back to the kitchen.

Leaving the open door, I moved over to the large blinded closet walking over the multitude of toys, nearly stepping on a small train.

Even without the light, I could see the smallest hint of a figure sitting on the floor, it was the foxy plush.

I had continued this cycle, listening, checking, flashing as the night went on.

When it was finally over, the alarm clock signaled the nights end as my butt plopped onto the soft bed as I held my head.. it was all very stressful.

[Night One completed]

[Reward: Chica's cupcake!]

'Nice.'

But this moment of victory was short lived when the view from my eyes was cut when they were forcibly shut.

In surpise, I tried prying then open with my hands, but found them pressing against the weight of a blanket.

The tightness of my clamped eyes left, giving me the opportunity to see what happened.

I was back in the big bed and under the covers.

Frantically hopping up, I looked to see everything the same.. besides the clock.

{12:00 P.M}

'Damn… this better be quick.' Breathing steadily as I grasped the flashlight lying on the bed.

"It…will…only…get…harder"

"Reality…always…does"

The deep voice of his golden plushie spoke, but as I turned to look, it had not moved or muttered another word.

Gulping, I reluctantly stepped toward the left door.

*Haeheeheeheheh*

Fear shot through my entire body as I held the door shut with a literal death grip.

"Don't….hold…the…door…closed…for…long…they….don't….like….that"

Breathing in and out, I took those few pieces of advice to heart when I slowly opened the door seeing the large blue body of Bonnie quickly run back from the hall.

I gave a forced chuckle to try and get used to the situation more, flashing a few Freddles from their screeching glares as I moved to the right door.

But in my haste, I seemed to forget an important.. and very needed detail.

Swinging open the door, flashing the light… the tall chicken made of metal and death, stared right into my soul as if it was here to search for my sins..

I froze, dropping the flashlight with a clunk, as I the horrific sight before letting out a scream.

Rushing backwards for an escape, I tripped on a damned small toy robot as the giant chicken grabbed ahold of me with its large sharp claws and thick arms.

Once again the feeling of fear hit my body just as the sharp claws of the robotic menace hit my chest, passing through.. puncturing it like clay.

Blood sprayed from the gaping wound as the tall chicken held me close against its splintered chest.. smiling with its monstrous teeth and red eyes.

I died… again.

[Restarting Night two….]

[Success!]

My vision that had been covered with my own blood had cleared as I found myself back in bed.

'I-I really died.. again.' I punched my fist through the air out of anger before sighing.

My armed moved to where I had been pierced, but felt nothing as it was hole.. as if it never happened.

Gripping his flashlight, he was ready to face the nightmares once more.. he was already tired and fuming..

He would defeat them.

<3 hours later>

The time was only 2:00 am and he had been successful so far.

He had almost gotten killed by Bonnie but was quick enough to close the door on the metal rabbit.

Standing in the middle of the room, I was about the check on foxy before the laugh similar to the demonic one he had heard earlier sounded.. but it was deeper and more ferocious.

The sheer aura it gave off made him buckle his knees as he tried to keep himself from falling to the ground.

Time passed as I had checked for the source of the laugh, but found no one.. aside from the figures of Bonnie and chica in the halls popping around.

Time had stopped when the life saving chimes of the alarm clock sang through my ears.

[Night two completed!]

[Reward: Ennards party mask!]

'Ennards mask.. that seems.. improbable?' I thought confused.

Receiving an item from a different game of a separate entity.. I guess it didn't really matter.

My vision faded again into darkness as I reawakened back in this damned bed.

...

Two more nights had passed… I had died four times…twice by Bonnie…once by foxy…and once by the Freddles who called their daddy when I forgot to check.

From the two nights completed, the plush gave me more warnings on what was to come coming.

He was thankful for this little bear, even if most of it was vague, it still tried to help him.

I opened my inventory to see the new and past reward

The new being a full body spring Bonnie suit full of those deadly spring locks.

And a balloon from the balloon boy that made the noise of Freddy's nose being pushed whenever I waved it around like a maraca.

I could feel my mind slowly go crazy from the constant laughter and death.

But I was given a change of view when I found myself in a dark room with a window above me shining the moons light onto my face.

The flashlight was still firm in my hands as I clicked it on.

'Wait a minute.. I know this.' The structure was the same, a small hall with multiple doorways.. an x taped on the floor..

And the small nightmare plush trap sitting on the big wooden chair..

Knowing what I had to do, the flashlight clicked off as I awaited the sound of those scampering footsteps.

I could heard nothing for a time, but was interrupted with the deep laugh of a boy… an annoying one as well.

The flashlight shone onto the form of balloon boy, twisted and corrupted into this.. creature.

It's red yellow eyes reflected Evan's face with the animatronic grinning, showing off its maw full of teeth giving him a deep chuckle.

This was the first time he had seen or even heard of nightmare ballon boy in this game.. he wasn't a real character.. how was he even here.

We both had a staring contest.. waiting for one of us to do something.

But it seemed it wasn't trying to get after me as it just stood there.

*Shuffle*

My eyes widened as I had forgot about the main reason I was here, turning off the flashlight I quickly flashed it back in down the hall.

*Screee-*

He was lucky enough to have pinned the death toy square on the x.

I moved the light over to balloon boy with it showing me a sort of sad, frowning face as it had lost.

[Sub-Night Completed!]

[Reward: A nightmares puppet]

This reward was vastly different from the others, he could tell just by looking at the icon in his inventory as he pressed it.

[Item: A nightmares puppet

Description: Night-marionette had been the darker side of the marionette holding all her darkest wishes and feelings that have come to light. A companion that will stay with you to the end.]

'A companion who will help me everywhere I go? A really useful item that I needed right about now.' He chuckled as he floated around the dark space.

"We..are..still..your..friends"

The familiar deep voice of the golden plushie sounded behind him.

It was indeed the same plush, but this time he was joined with the gang.

"I'm…still…here"

The voice continued, confusing him.

"You..have..been…broken..into..pieces" The voice said slowly with a voice like silk, changed dramatically from its deep Batman voice.

"Yet..something…still…tries…its…best…to…hold…you…together….your..something…else…". The plushie voice spoke.

Then all at once, whispers crept into both of his ears, like dozens of people all saying the same words..

"But..do..not…worry…I…will..put..you…back…together.."

The plushies disappeared from his sight as the whispers began to increase in speed.

No longer eligible, he tried to locate the source.. only to be met with another grim sight.

A broken jaw, small white eyes, yellow fur, and a trusty top hat..

Golden Freddy.

"Just…like…I…did…my…daughter"

The mix of emotions he felt when he saw the golden bear itself gave him a feeling of awe, but also a very strong sense of fear.

He thought he had knew everything about it.. Cassidy, a rogue spirit, vengeance for a middle name.

But that was all thrown at the window as the bulky robot appeared before him.

Not even blinking or looking away.. it had just moved.

It didn't move a single inch before it began to speak… in the voice of a little girl.. fragments and glitches evident in its speech.

"S-so…yo-our..the..o-ne…" It's hoarse voice clouding over most of its speech.

The large bulky arm that he had thought to be immovable shot out to reach around his face.

Large and contrite, he could almost feel the rage radiate of its hand.

"D-don't…g-get..I-in…m-y-y…way"

The bear muttered with malice as everything went white.. a change from the usual void.

<William, P.O.V>

My son.. it's been three years.

The time that I've waited felt like centuries.

Clara.. my wife, killed in a car accident by a drunk driver, he was given only four years.

"Haha…."

Everyday he could feel himself slowly wither.. but it seemed today was the day he finally snapped as he laughed while clutching his head.. pulling out locks of hair.

All those years ago, Freddy's.. Fredbears.. they were his dreams as a kid out into reality.

Everything had became his, but it didn't last forever.

It had all went to hell.

That day when he had discovered the key to immortality due to a killing he did out of rage.. he found a new goal.

And he had finally done it… he's killed many.. men, women, teens… but the most important were the children.

The energy their pure souls gave off made him addicted like an addict to cocaine.

Fredbears had been long since shut down and the animatronic suit hybrids had been moved to the newer location, Freddy's, for spare parts.

Even with all he's done, he could barely keep himself alive as he held hope when he went to visit his son every day.

Today, was a new day after all.

The doctors had wrapped his head with bandages, covering his face long ago.

When he had found out the human body could survive without its frontal lobe, he was slightly interested, but still relieved that his son might survive..

But it all was for nothing.

William, who was sitting alone in the waiting area, heard yells sound through the hall before heard the familiar workers that treated his son shout his bane.

He shot up in fear as his heart raced at the thought of something bad happening.

Shortly after the agonizing run through the eerie surgical halls, he found himself standing at the doorway to his sons room.

The beeping of the heart monitor getting slower and slower with the green lines getting smaller and smaller, as the doctors tried their best to help the boy.

I.V bags were placed, dosages given, but it didn't help.. the haunting sound of a flatline broke through the air.

The grip on the door frame he held cracked as he clenched.. anymore and it would fully collapse under the pressure.

He didn't care for his wounds or splinters though.

"Stand back! Clear!"

*Bzzzt*

"Clear!"

*Bzzzzztt*

"Raise the knot! Stand back! Clear"

*Brrrzzz*

But nothing…

The flatlined continued as the doctors tried their best but nothing worked.

Tears ran down his cheeks as he heard someone calling him.

He ignored them of course, but his cries were interrupted when he was pulled by big burly security guards out of the doorway.

A young man spoke to him as he tried to get his attention.

"Excuse me sir, you can't be back here without being an employee or admitted by the front desk!"

In an almost animalistic rage, he pushed the man off, sending him flying as he ignored the shocked faces of the people around him, running to hug his dying son.

The nurses and doctors were surprised by the father of the child who had came here every day for three years.. but they did nothing… it was over.

"I-Im so sorry-"

Heavy tears ran down his face like waterfalls as he clenched his eyes shut.. he sobbed long and good.

He was left with an air of silence with people lowering their heads in sadness, the loss of a life.. especially so young was tough to bear.

They knew that this job woukd be hard… not everyone could be saved, but the guilt it gave them weighed their heart as if a convicted murderer.

Some left the room to help others patients, some patted each other to let out grief.

He was left alone with his son aside from a single man in surgical equipment.

Walking up to the crying father, he patted his back softly as he spoke.

"My condolences…Mr.Afton" The doctor finished as he took off his gloves and left the room.

Memories were all he could see as he held his sons corpse.. his daughters adorable eyes turned to mush.. pierced by his own creation.

His life truly was a living hell.

Days passed as William drowned his grief and sorrow with alcohol, yet he continued his work.. with more determination and anger than ever.

All the while Evan felt his vision finally come to, but instead of his room.. a broken down yellow bunny suit stared right at him with empty sockets.
