Chapter 1

"Zzzrrrrrrrr The year is 2021 and New York City has been lost to the zombie outbreak as the Zzzzrrrrrrrrrr takes extreme action to protect the well interests of Zzzzrrrrrrrr by condemning the ones still remaining on the islands Zzzzrrrrrrr chck." The chatter of the radio cuts off leaving silence for just a moment.

"Fuck! This piece of shit fucking radio never wants to fully fucking work I swear to fucking God. If this fucking trash radio wasn't so hard to get I would've thrown it out by now to save myself from dead weight." Says a voice on an empty street.

Huff huff huff huff huff, the heavy breathing of a single man is one of the only sounds heard on this New York City street as a man wearing a full suit of Iron armor with chainmail walks slowly as the clanging of the armor rings and echoes through the abandoned street. As the armored man continues his trek through the street we see the gray clouds overhead matching the color of the noisy armor with the once colorful buildings looking ready to collapse.

"Ugh! Wearing this thing in the blazing heat is unbearable. Why did I decide to go outside today? Of all days, why today? Not to mention my fucking radio just died meaning no distraction from these shitty thoughts either." Said the fool who had forgotten his task already.

"Oh yea! Fuck! I ran out of my supply of food, oh well that shit wasn't really supposed to last me as long as it fucking did, a shitty couple of months is a pretty long ass motherfucking time. Shit I can't really complain, but now I have to sneak around all these goddamn zombies in the heat while wearing this pretty good looking, but heavy as fuck armor just to go to the supermarket and grab some more food. Might as well try to find some batteries for this radio too, can't go too long without the background noise."

10 minutes later we see our brave fool of a "knight" "sneaking" around Hester Street and Allen Street trying to avoid making noise as much as he possibly can wearing a full suit of Armor and chainmail. To get to his destination he would have to sneak by a small group of zombies and head 2 blocks down toward Pike Street and East Broadway and enter the supermarket he knew had no zombies inside. Just as the knight was planning on sneaking past he sees a figure just running down the street casually towards the zombies and suddenly rushes straight past all of them. Looking closer at the figure the knight was able to discern that the figure was a man wearing camouflage pants and no shirt without a single weapon on him to be seen by the knight.

"Damn that dude reminds me of that one joke everybody used, what was it again? I think it was Leroyy Jenkinss. Well I guess rest in peace to that guy, but thankfully he opened up the way for me albeit unknowingly. Now it's just smooth sailing or walking straight to that supermarket with no confrontation at all with any zombies thanks to Leroy Jenkins, hopefully he doesn't die too quickly he helped me out after all."

The knight proceeds down the street as the zombies chase who he dubs Leroy Jenkins. Of course due to the armour the knight attracts 2 of the zombies back to him from all the 'clanking' noise. The knight realizes his mistake as fear sweeps through his body and paralyzes him on spot. This lapse in judgment and movement allows the zombies to come face to face with him, due to his frozen state the zombies just bump into him and due to believing him to be a metal wall walk off while our "hero" is still frozen on the spot holding his breath.

"Fucking hell that shit was scary." he whispers under his breath.

"Still that zombie encounter that I may or may not have jinxed on myself aside I guess I have no time to waste, I still have to go and collect that food while Leroy Jenkins distracts the other zombies. Although he's probably dead by now or another zombie waiting to rip me apart, wait no it wouldn't have been 7 minutes since he's been bitten and that's if he got bit in the first place so I guess no extra zombies for me to fight."

As our "Hero" continues his trek down the now empty street of New York towards the supermarket he hears a scream and some gargling. Turning the corner to where the supermarket's entrance is located he sees Leroy Jenkins continue distracting the zombies that were chasing him by being their dinner.

"Goddammit I really hate when I'm right sometimes,, especially since it happens for the worst situations farewell and rest in pieces I guess good ol Leroy Jenkins you will be missed you goddamn lunatic. I mean seriously who decides to just run out in the streets with no protection and no weapon whatsoever in zombie infested New York City. Oh well at least you've provided a good enough distraction for me to grab my food, so bon appétit my zombie friends may you hopefully not bother my collecting mission just be good zombies finish your meal and leave."

A few hours pass by as the knight finally finishes collecting all the food he'll now be transporting back to his "base", a shabby old apartment in Rutgers housing on Cherry street and Pike street, that just so happens to be close by to the supermarket.

The knight exits the supermarket with his stash of food and realizes the zombies from earlier actually listened to him and left, they even took Leroy Jenkins' body probably as a zombie by now since 7 minutes have definitely flown by ages ago to when Leroy got bit.

30 minutes later

"Finally back at this shitty old place, but at least I have more food to last me a while longer. I wonder how much time it's gonna take for them to realize there are survivors on these islands they abandoned. Shit no point thinking about that just gotta survive until this whole nightmare ends one way or another." The knight thinks to himself to distract from the fact he has to put away all the food he collected earlier.

"Procrastination at its finest it took me an hour, but I did complete the task now I can go back to ignoring the outside world till I need shit again, now where the fuck is that shitty control my favorite show Is about to start and I haven't gotten myself comfortable yet I'd really hate to be late or worst miss the show."

After a short walk through the not so empty streets of New York City, we arrive back to the extremely spartan and humble abode of The knight.

"God fucking dammit why the fuck did the damn power cut off during my favorite show? Wait no no no no no... please don't tell me I have to go outside again, but it's been too soon since the last time I was out. It's only been like 30 mins since I got home, normally I last a month inside before I have to go on another supply run and this one's gonna be a lot harder too since the supply I need is power."

After cursing the world for a few more minutes The knight finally decides to go on a journey to try and figure out why specifically the power went out. Despite him being an idiot with no knowledge on anything an electrician does, he finds the local powerplant by somehow just walking around randomly like the opposite of a certain 3 swords using swordsman with no sense of direction and a huge help of unadulterated pure idiotic luck.

30 minutes earlier

"Hmmm now where the fuck should I go to fix the power in my house?....... ehhhh fuck it thinking on things for too long has never been my strong suit, so I guess left we go."

After walking the short distance of just one singular city block The knight encounters a group of zombies circling each other and a lone zombie halfway stuck underneath the tire of a car with multiple broken windows. The zombie seems to be attempting to crawl out from underneath the tire, but just so happens to separate its upper half from its bottom half with only its intestines connecting the two together.

The group of circling zombies suddenly stop at hearing the noise of The knight's armor clanking from his attempt to sneak past the zombie stuck underneath the car tire. Suddenly that same zombie struck out and grabbed The knight's metal covered foot, pulling itself from underneath the car tire as its body was split fully in half with its lower half still being stuck and its upper half finally free to roam the world and consume. The knight was so surprised by the sudden motion that he didn't notice the zombie had let go of his foot and was starting to crawl away.

"Oh fuck! Hell no! I am not about to become zombie food, not now and not ever!"

As The knight screeched his war cry out he raised the foot the zombie was previously holding on to and swiftly with all the strength in the world curb stomped the zombies head to pulp reminiscent of a certain wrestling king slayer who once wanted to burn it down. With that task completed The knight focused on the now paused group of zombies ahead of him just staring at him, but almost as if they were looking past him and not directly at him. Secretly hidden behind a store front a figure was looking on at the situation and began to think.

"What is that fool doing? Is he seriously thinking of fighting all those zombies wearing that flimsy aluminum foil cosplay outfit? Oh well I guess it'll be his funeral while I escape."

The hidden figure decides to use The knight's unknowing distraction to escape the area and as the figure moves the zombies suddenly start walking in The knight's direction, but still looking almost past him as if ignoring his very presence. The knight, a little bit frightened by the sudden movement towards him acts quickly raising both of his arms delivering two powerful lariats to the two zombies nearest to him. The power and speed behind the strike slammed the zombies to the ground, almost taking their heads off like a guillotine. Not wasting a single moment or movement The knight jumps into the air stomping on the heads of the fallen zombies with the metallic soles of his armor. The blood and gore of the zombies' heads covered The knight's feet and painted the sidewalk in an eerie color of red, yellow, and green with bits and chunks of bone and brain staining the nearby window of a long abandoned shop.

"Well then two down and now only three left, or technically three down and three left."

The knight looks down at the mess he made and felt a sudden queasiness overcome him. He starts trying to scrape the blood and gore of his armor by dragging his feet along the ground making annoying screeching sounds as if a cat was scratching a blackboard.

"Ugh this shit is gonna make me sick, why did I get the oh most brilliant idea of stomping on those two zombies? This is gonna take ages to wash off and that's if I can get electricity back to my place to even be able to wash it off In the first place."

With the hidden figure now having enough time to leave, the remaining three zombies began to act more docile, no longer walking in the direction of The knight. This action or lack thereof drew the attention of The knight as he wondered why the zombies suddenly stopped their advances.

"Why did you stop walking? Do zombies feel fear? Is that it? do you now fear my power and actions you dreadfully smelling beasts?"

As The knight says this he starts attempting to flex, but notices that the zombies have lost interest and returned to circling each other despite being two zombies down. This action confuses The knight as he thought that the zombies would surely target him and begin their attack. After five straight minutes of the zombies ignoring The knight and our very brave hero watching them circle each other he snaps out of the brain fart he was experiencing and starts to get pissed off at how ridiculous he felt about the situation.

"Okay, now you've made me extremely pissed fucking off! Stop fucking circling eachother and attack me already so I can beat your skulls in!"

Despite his yelling and attempts to get the zombies attention they continued to circle each other and ignore The knight. Now at the breaking point of his anger The knight grabs one of the zombies from the circle and puts it in a standing rear naked chokehold. The weirdest thing happened next as The knight sees and feels that the zombie isn't struggling at all and in fact doesn't bother to move a single muscle.

"Okay! What the fuck is wrong with this zombie? Why isn't it at least making an attempt at escaping my hold? Oh well fuck it! Wait, I just got a brilliant idea."

The knight proceeds to push the zombie away from him about a foot or two away and starts running from behind the zombie to just ahead of it jumps up into the air while grabbing the zombies' head and neck driving it into the ground with a crunch.

"RKO! And the crowd goes wild! RKO! RKO! RKO! And his opponent is down and out for the count. Yea I don't think it's gonna get up from that one."

After a few seconds of The knight patting himself on the back for the successful move he remembers the two remaining zombies that are still ignoring him and circling each other. This of course reminds The knight of his anger at being ignored as he charges towards the two.

The knight begins shifting his shoulders from left to right holding his fists up in a boxing stance. As he gets closer to the two zombies he starts to speed up his shifting and with a quick right hook to one of the zombies begins a combo of left and right hooks. After three minutes of just throwing out hooks The knight begins to slow down to catch his breath and admire the damage he had done to this zombie. As a gentle breeze flows through the street the zombie gets pushed over to the ground with its face completely smashed in almost like it was crushed between two hammers repeatedly.

"Wooooooooo now that's a lot of damage!"

The knight looks over to the final remaining zombie that stopped moving as it had no partner to circle with. The knight gets closer and closer to the zombie once again curious as to why it's not attempting to maul his face off and turn him into a zombie as well. Once The knight was inches away from the zombies face he just began to stare at it and observe its features. The zombie looked to once be a young man of about 27 years old when he was turned with a dislocated bottom jaw, his eyes were as dead as the soul that once lied beneath it. Strangely the zombie's hair, although covered in dust, dirt, and some blood, was completely white.

"You know what? You're not such a bad zombie, I think I'm gonna name you Bob. Yea Bob's a good name, from here on out I dub you Bob. Sadly Bob we must part ways here. Now I must bid you adieu, goodbye and goodnight, See yah!"

With that extremely weird conversation and goodbye to a zombie over with The knight continues on his journey to finding the power plant and get the electricity back working.

Present Time

"Well then, I guess that walk wasn't so bad and I did manage to crack some zombie skulls on the way here and made a friend. Oh Bob, we will meet again one day, although for some odd reason this place doesn't seem that far away from where I currently live. Huh small world, although why have I never seen this place here at all in all my years living in this fucking city?"

After that short adventure of searching, The knight finally found the power plant he was looking for and now just had to find the entrance to get in and try to fix things so he can go back to enjoying his laziness in his house. The knight circled the power plant five times trying to find the entrance till he turned the corner to go back to the original spot when he noticed five new figures standing where he first stopped. They seemed to all look downtrodden and had shifty eyes, none of them willing to look at anybody in the group's eyes. This scene causes a very familiar confusion in The knight's mind as he wonders why these five are just standing around and why they are all wearing the same outfit and helmets.

"Hey guys! Do any of you know where the entrance to this place is located?"

The knight screams out to the crowd that looked like they belonged as they all wore slightly torn and dirty versions of the same uniform, blue with a con edison logo on the left breast, this detail showing that they at least at some point worked here and now with the change of the city, live here. The group of five looking worse for wear and freshly out of a grueling battle slowly and cautiously approached The knight due to his large suit of armor making him look very intimidating. The knight took a step forward causing the whole group to jump back in fright at the sudden movement towards them.

"St-Stay umm mhm Stay back! Stop right there!"

The largest member of the group of five yells out after stumbling backwards away from The knight. Fear clouds the eyes of the remaining four as the same solemn thought crosses their minds. The thought of despair as they all think to themselves.

"I don't have much time left, why oh why did this dreadful curse have to strike me now?"

"Hey! Why all the long faces now? Am I that depressing? Come on now I know I'm not the most social person, but at least we're all human aren't we? Let's just cheer up and go inside where it's safe." The knight responds to the solemn depressing mood of the five former workers

"You're right uhhh I don't know your name, but we are all human I guess so come I'll open the gate and we can all just sit down peacefully and talk." The smallest member declares almost as if he was trying to convince himself more than anyone.

Once the group now consisting of six people walk inside the area past the gate and get settled in with the gate closed and locked, they decide to have a chat about the current zombie situation that has infested the city for quite some time now. The group discusses the recent electrical outage and how it would make it harder to survive as none of the refrigerators will be working now across the section of the city they were in. Their only chance at survival would be to fix the outage problem or to abandon this place and move to a new section of the city in a dangerous run. The conversation lasted maybe three minutes to four minutes in The knight's head as he felt the conversation drag on with no new information or action being taken.

"So then now we get to the crux of the issue, what action shall we... urghhh raghhhh"

The largest man in the group suddenly pauses and lurches over himself in pain grabbing a spot on his thigh. The rest of the group, The knight included, saw spots of red where the man was covering, it looked to be a small bite mark on his thigh that was slowly turning the area green and black.

"Fuck! I thought I had more time, has it already been 7 mins from when I got bit? Urghhhhh rahhh clack I-I'm sorry my friends I was so afraid that I would be left alone that I've doomed you all to share my fate."

The large man begins to tear up, grasping tighter at the bite mark. He chokes back the tears trying to put on a smile so as to not look like more of a coward than he already was. The other four members of his group look up at him staring into his eyes, but not with disgust or anger, instead they had a look of relief in their eyes as they each showed their own bite mark that was also turning green and black.

"Wait a fucking minute! So all you bitches got bit by a shitty zombie before inviting my dumbass in and still had the fucking audacity to lock me in here with you guys?"

The knight's voice full of shock and betrayal cracks as he stares at what might possibly be the last five human faces he sees before he turns into a zombie, forever losing his mind and sanity although the loss of that last bit might have happened long ago.

"I wholeheartedly apologize for my group's transgressions against you sir, but I believe I speak for urghhhhhh raghhhhhhh ahhhhhhh!"

As the oldest man of the group began to apologize to The knight, the skins of everyone in that group turned a sickly green and black as their veins looked to be attempting an escape out of their bodies. Their eyes which once held life now a blank green where white used to be and black where red used to be with all the life absent as if staring deep into an abyss.

"Huuuufff and now these fucking goddamn idiots have gone and turned into zombies, I fucking hate that those seven mins were wasted on a conversation that solved absolutely fucking nothing!"

As The knight released his frustrations in a very common tantrum of screaming and cursing, the zombies just stared not at him instead passed him at the wall behind The knight without moving an inch. The knight completely forgetting about the recently turned zombies walks past them to the gate and unlocks it leaving the area with the zombies trapped in. After a minute of walking The knight remembers the zombies he left trapped behind the gate.

"Oh well I guess as long as those zombies aren't bothering me I'm fucking good, I'm chill, I'm as calm as a motherfucking cucumber. Although what the fuck am I gonna do now? Ehhhhhh fuck it I'm just gonna go ahead and take a trip across the waters to The Bronx. It has been a while since I had a good chopped cheese, maybe someone can cook one up for me over there."
