1 ~A mother's wish..

February 1772

Lady Anne stared out the window, it was a really cool evening, her blonde curls were ruffled by the wind, carrying some of it to her, beautiful face, she could see her husband and his men working on the fence, that had been down for quite a while, he was really loved by his men and everyone in the village, she sighed, she was a contented woman already..., he was a very kind and handsome man as well, theirs had been an arranged marriage, but it didn't stop them from falling in love..., and she was really in love with him, their union was although political, but also a love match, their marriage was already around eight years, and it hasn't borne any fruit, it was childless, the baby in her stomach kicked, reminding her that all her pains was in the past, all her sorrows were gone!, and she smiled touching her already large stomach...., finally, she was going to be a mother.... , her tears and worries were coming to an end, she too was going to experience motherhood and all the pains and joy that came with it, she shook with excitement and her baby kicked harder, she couldn't wait to welcome the babe, he was going to be like his father, she thought always active and ready to move around

"Hush now little one, it's okay, she said patting her stomach, and smiling...

"Mommy is here for you..., she continued..

"Hey!! hey!!, Lady Anne stopped patting her stomach and looked down at the noise., she saw her husband smiling up at her,

"My lord, did you just address me as hey?, she asked pretending to be angry...

But he kept on smiling, "I got something for you!, he shouted, and everyone of his men watched in silence....

"And what would that be?, she asked him...

"A kiss for the most beautiful lady I have ever seen, the Duke of Edinburgh said and blew his wife a kiss, he was a dark haired and handsome man, and she remembered the first time she saw him, she had literal butterflies in her stomach! she blushed as everyone laughed and hooted, shouting and screaming..

Then she gestured like she she caught the kiss, and held it close to her heart, it earned them more jesting and laughter, and she ran inside, unable to take the noises anymore, laughing as she did..., then she sat down on the chair, suddenly tired from over exertion, her baby moved excited as well, she wished life would go on, this sweet, and beautiful, that her baby would be born healthy, and her husband and her love would keep on growing, stronger and stronger...., she closed her eyes for a little nap...
