Chapter 05- Jealousy

"Your majesty "Queen Miththa welcomed Vasambha joyfully.

"Miththa, I told you. There is no need to address like this when we are alone." Vasambha said with difficulty.

"Your majesty. That is the custom. We can't neglect that." Meththa said respectfully.

"But there is no need to act like this always. Anyway, you can address me anyway you want "Vasambha said tiredly and sit on the mat in the room.

"Your majesty, why are you coming here this time?"Miththa asked.

"Miththa, where is our son?"Vasambha asked while taking another topic to evade the question of the queen.

"Thissa has been taken to the garden by a nanny," the queen said.

"Okay. I will come and see him later. Miththa, is living in the palace good?"

"It's okay.  I heard the coronation ceremony will happen after seven days. Is it true? "

"Yes, it is true. But the royal seal is still missing. So it will make some hindrance to my coronation. "

"Is there no progress?"

"Not yet. So I decided to make a temporary royal seal"

"That's good. Are your parents coming to the capital?"

"My father and mother do not like to return here. They like to live in Malaya country. So I decided to make residence there according to the likes of my parents. Have you searched about your parents?"

"Yes. They will reach the capital tomorrow. I already made arrangements in the capital"

"That's good. Let's meet them after they came to the capital. "

Vasambha looked at Miththa carefully. He found she was dashed when she answered questions. So he asked, "Miththa, is there any problem?"

"No. There is not" the queen replied while not making eye contact.

"I heard your uncle asked to marry your cousin Sangha and the Maurya clan asked to marry a lady of theirs on coronation day."

"Oh! It seems my Miththa is jealous."Vasambha said interestingly.

"No…no… I am not jealous. You don't get it wrong." Miththa said embarrassingly.

"It is okay to be jealous. Don't become nervous "Vasambha replied to Miththa with lovely tone.

"I know I can't be jealous. You are the new king who got throne without any royal background. So you have to keep balance in every side. "

"Miththa, you only half right. I do not need powerhouse of others to get support for my ruling. I have ability and power to rule this country alone with my abilities. But these families are ancient noble families in country. So I like to keep them happy to make harmonious relationship between king and nobles. Also especially Lambhakanna family is my family clan. They helped me this fight lot. So I have to show my gratitude for them. So I think you can understand my situation. "Vasambha explained.

"I know that. " Miththa said without any expression.

"Miththa, I said I never forget things you had done. So you never worry about that. I never let wrong you." Vasambha said.

Miththa looked at Vasambha with attentively.
