Chapter 01- Storm is Coming
"He is going to kill me..come..guards... Kill him..where are those?. Are they rebelling.. come here if you don't want to kill yourself..no..no no..don't come near me..guards kill him" the heuristical sound rang through the palace everywhere. Hearing this guard who was in semi sleepy state woke up with fear and immediately ran to the origin of the sound. Within a moment heavily locked a door of the bed-chamber was opened and a group of guards who carried spears and shields ran inside of it quickly. The person inside was still shouting not stopping on the bed. This person had pale brown skin. It was sure that this man maintained his body well whether it showed a somewhat enlarged stomach. What was so special in his face. He had a nearly round face with a triangular shape nose and had full-lipped mouth centred by a thin beard. His whole body was showering with sweat and trembling whole body. But no one in the room dared to wake up him from this nightmare.
Sometime after, the manager of the bed-chamber came near to the person who was covered with sweets and was told in some feared manner "Your Majesty..your majesty… wake up… this is a dream, not a real…don't be afraid ".Sometime after the man on the bed quickly was stand up from the lying state and flicked his eyes. Then he is asked" Where is that man? Where is that Vasambha? Where is he? Did you capture him?" with trembled voice." "Your majesty, it is a dream. There is no one here apart from us." The manager of the bed-chamber was said to the person who trembling with fear.
"So it is a dream… not true…that's good "that man replied with a calm voice. It was represented as a majestic voice but most of them see it as trying to turn into a majestic voice. Yes, this man is indeed a King, a novice king. Truthfully, absurdly being a king.
This king's name was Subha. He was crowned as King of Anuradhapura who was the high king of Lanka and ended up the ruling clan which controlled the country for more than 300 years giving shame to that clan.
"Everyone goes out now "the voice echoed through the room and guards left the room one by one slowly. Before the moment the manager of bed -the chamber set foot outside of the room that voice was sounded again.
"Tell the grand commander and chief of the royal spy organization to come to see me immediately".
"yes majesty I tell them immediately" the bed-chamber manager replied and went out of the room immediately. While he was going to meet the grand commander of the army he murmurs "This is not a good sign. I have to warn both of them to be careful in answering anyway."
After some time two men entered the king's bed-chamber and greeted the king. One was, a mild brown-skinned tall, sturdy physic man with an oval-shaped face while having a long -narrow nose. His eyes were so bright like a hawk and with well-grown beard show-off heroic charisma in himself. He was wearing somewhat luxury type cotton clothe set and it made feeling of negotiating , convincing in others . The other man was a dark brownie-skinned short and thin one. He had a cunning look and his hawk-shaped nose made it an unpleasant feeling about him in others. It was not lessened but increased by looking at the clothes wearied by him. Because he was wearing old used ordinary clothes. It was filled with dust. By looking at there could only speculate that this man should be coming to here after done some alms begging.
"Your majesty, why are you calling us like this time?" both asked from the king.
"Do you asking from me for asking you, servants this time? Are you really don't know about that or are you not dare to show it to me? "King was shouted and the other two people in the room were somewhat trembled by that. But they never showed that to the king and waited quietly till the king answered.
"Okay, I tell you why are you guys called here. Are you two end up with the work assigned by me?"
" Apart from the Nagadipa in the north, this servant got news from all other places that our security armies kill off all the people named Wasambha " the person who had heroic charisma replied.
"OH! Only north is remaining now .Isn't it , my grand commander? So I can sleeping well after I received that report. Are the person in charge in there worthy of trust?"
"Yes, your majesty. General Sumana is a very loyal subject of yours. Whether he is from Lambhakanna family he always supports you Majesty "grand commander replied.
"So I can rest assured with your guarantee . Then I am waiting for good news from you"
"Yes, your majesty" grand commander answered and kept one step backwards from the bed. At that time other one was showing some signs of there are more things to represent but he kept looking downward, not daring to look at the king. But it was caught by King .
"My chief of royal spy organization , Is there anything to be add?"
"Your Majesty, the report presented by grand commander may not be absolute truth" that unpleasant man replied cunningly.
"What do you mean ? Are you telling in front of King that I am betraying him "grand commander was shouted." I am not saying like that grand commander .You have done perfectly this task so far.But there are some mistakes anyway? "Chief of royal spy organization replied.
"So , what you mean by saying there are mistakes done by grand commander .Answer my question now " king was shouted .
"Your majesty , there are several people remaining in other places who named Vasambha. Some have changed their name so far."
"Your majesty, we have taken care about lot of them .But it is true there are some remaining person like that. But they all are small kids. The smallest one maybe not filled three months so far.How could they threaten to your rule. "grand commander was replied.
"But , commander you must remember that those kids names was Vasambha at first" Chief of royal spy organization argued back.
"But.."
"Silence! This is not royal court to argue to you two, this is this kings sleeping place. Grand commander you have to remember that if that remaining one is kid , but he named Vasambha first. He maybe not threaten me today, but tomorrow. So , for the eliminating trouble in future you have to end up it.Are you understand that? "King was reprimanded both them.
"Your majesty, that is small child…how could…how could I do that" Grand commander asked .
"This royal order. Are you telling that you not obeying it? "King threatened the grand commander.
" Grand commander's good days are now over. "chief of royal spy organization was thought. He and grand commander always worked competitively. They always argued with each other. Chief of royal spy organization always wanted to topple over grand commander. So he waited for this day for a long time and got collected information regarding that. When the manager of King's bed-chamber delivered the message of calling of King, he knew that his time arrived. So, he waited for the right time to attack the grand commander.
"This subject is not daring. I will complete the work assigned by your majesty completely "the grand commander replied sad manner.
"You have to find each remaining person named Vasambha and kill him. Whether his current name different or not. If someone protecting that person you have to kill them all. And being accomplice of capital crime whole villages of that person residing should be burned. By doing that it will easy to end the threat completely.Cheif of royal spy organization you have to help grand commander for this. Okay, now you can go. I am waiting for your good news. If I hear any one remaining Vasambha hereafter this I am going to end your life , grand commander. Here is my warning "king told both of them.
"Yes majesty, we will accomplish your task "both walked out of the room and went out from the royal palace. One was smiling inwardly about unfortunate of other person. At that time there was showed a bolt of lightning in the sky. The grand commander then said, "There is going start a large storm." It didn't unclear whether he telling whether in the sky or things happening in future.
By the way, the person in the room look absently and looked in the direction of Thissa tank in the city.
