Murder and consciousness

Out emerged a beautiful woman with blue hair and green eyes, though she would have looked beautiful if she wasn't smeared in the blood of many different people. Her disgusting scent wretched throughout the whole alleyway. He has studied this race before she wasn't a full on demon but a half blooded oni who had gone wrong.

"You look disgusting," he said with a carefree tone while placing his hand on his pocket.

"You're quite rude aren't you, you brat." She didn't make a move despite what he said and continued to look at him with weary eyes.

Of course she wouldn't, she's not a idiotic beast. She has a child in front of him who is completely apathetic to everything happening to him, usually he would act scared so she let her guard down. And even he would be weary if he was in her case but sometimes luck didn't favour everyone.

"Why don't you put down your weapon you brat?"

He let out a simple sigh and took out the knife from his pocket and threw it onto the floor, now he officially had no weapon. He waved his hands about to show her nothing was there and closed his fist tightly twice. But to think her scent is so strong that she could sense the knife on his body, they really were unique.

"So who the hell are you?"

Looking slightly back he had let out a small sigh, there was nothing behind him.

"Looking for a chance to escape no point in that."

"I've already realised running won't change anything so I don't plan to. As for who I am? I'm Kaname Ryougi, belonging to the Ryougi family that is a part of a demon hunting organisation."

She seemed to still have some intelligence instead of acting out of pure desire and those words caused her to flinch. But she didn't back down and held her emotions within, she was trying to not express any fear.

"Tch so I have to kill you quick before reinforcement come back."

"Reinforcement won't come I'm sorry about that," he said with a condescending tone on his face to rub it on her."You really aren't the brightest."

"Wha-"

A hand gauged through her body, her body fell lifelessly on the floor. Looking back she saw a little girl standing behind her body it was Mina. Her body was shivering and she had a grimace on her face looking at the dead body in her hand.

"How?"

"This isn't some anime where I explain how I finished you off before you die," he answered, picking up his knife. Quickly stabbing her in the neck, she looked up with despair in her eyes before they faded away.

As for how he had actually killed her or well Mina did. He had communicated with her using hand signs for when he put down his knife. And for how she had actually gained the will to kill. She didn't, in her eyes was a cold clear look that didn't suit her kind eyes, it was magecraft or to be more specific his magecraft. Mina was partially succubus so she was resistant to the magecraft more than him but she had allowed herself to be hypnotised by him unconsciously when he used his magecraft earlier, when you let your guard down around someone who you can trust it's easier to do.. The hand signs were ordered as she under his mind spell he was actually quite talented in it. And the reason Mina would gauge a whole in a half blooded oni so easily was her blood.

The reason for why she didn't notice her was because she was so wary of him, she was too focused on the fact a child was casually walking by herself and the fact he was of the Ryougi family, making her emotions unstable and misdirecting her he took advantage of it. If she had opened up her perspective more and didn't allow herself to be so wary of him she may have won though that may happen in a timeline he was unsure existed or not.

Though he hated this plan, he was essentially making Mina do something she wasn't able to do and bending her will. A visceral of disgust passed through him looking into her cold eyes. Raising his finger he tapped the centre of her forehead. Her eyes woke up from the spell, she looked like she had no idea what was happening and clutched her head tightly. The gap in her memory was probably affecting her. Looking at her hands she realised her hands were covered in blood causing her eyes to freeze, seeing the body with a gaping hole it hit her.

Her breathing quickened, she looked at her hand and she vomited all over the floor

"I-no, I didn't do it!" She screamed with tears all over her face as she broke down on the floor and her body fell to the floor.

Snot was running through her face and tears were running down her face. Her clothes were covered in vomit and her hair had covered her face which had blood stains from hand. Her hands which were covered with blood smeared across her face as she started crying in horror. Of course a nine year old girl would get a mental breakdown he had already expected that.

Walking behind her he sent a quick jab to her neck. She fell onto the floor, he quickly picked up her body. They had to leave right now in case she had back ups he wouldn't be able to fight one more with her like this.

There was no way they could walk in the streets anymore with how they looked now he would have had to carry her through the alleyways.

Hauling her over his back he looked at the dead corpse on the floor, this happened because he was unprepared. The whole reason he was getting stronger was so he could fight things off like this and so the people around him were safe. He almost failed to protect someone close to him twice

It won't happen again, he swore to himself.

Walking through the alleyway he navigated the city like the back of his hand, he had memorised it again. Climbing over the wooden fence the bells he landed in the garden. The servants there looked over in shock before their eyes quickly shifted to Mina.

"What happened to her!"One of the servants shouted, losing all of their formality.

"I'll explain later, clean her up and place her into her room," he commanded with a cold tone.

All of them nodded, they took her body off him and walked quickly into the building. He had followed them while she didn't have injuries; he wasn't expecting her to simply deal with that when she woke up.

They had cleaned her up and placed her in the bed in the room. Right now he was sitting in a chair beside her watching over her.

The door to the room opened and inside stepped his Father.

"What happened?" He instantly asked.

"We were attacked by a wild half oni, we had taken care of it," he explained while looking him in the eye.

"I see this is troubling." Stroking his beard he had looked at Mina with a subtle frown on his face. His Father also cared about the servants and treated them well. That's why all of them treated him with a lot of respect.

"She won't have the best reaction to her death, murder weighs on someone consciousness on too much, especially a child," he said with a somber tone in his voice." I'll leave you to calm her down since you know her better." His Father decided while nodding towards him. Usually he would ask more so he could know but he prioritised Mina more so he delayed it after she was okay.

He knew the effect death had on someone's capability and he had trusted his son to take care of it that was all.

He had walked out of the room and closed the door. Mina's eyes slowly opened a few minutes later, she looked around the room with a dazed look still not regaining her capability to think.

Her eyes dilated as she had remembered what had happened, she sat up and her nails were clawing her face.

"Mina."

She didn't hear him at all, her breathing skyrocketed and she looked as if she was living every last moment of it again.

"Mina."

It wasn't my fault. I didn't do it, I didn't kill anyone

Thoughts like those were running around her head constantly. He knew because he had experienced those thoughts a long time ago.

He let out a small sigh, yet again she didn't respond to his voice. Forceful actions were needed. He grabbed her hands away from her face forcefully and the action caused her to look at him.

"Mina!"

Snapping out of her stupor she had looked at him clearly though her eyes and looked as if they were still hollow.

"I-i didn't mean to kill her, I don't know what was happening to me."

She tried to explain to her and tried to make sense of what happened in her mind.

"It's fine." Hugging her body he rubbed her hair slowly and soothingly."didn't do anything wrong."

"Mhm." She buried her head into his chest as tears slowly came out.

For the next hour he didn't say anything but one word. Hrehad just hugged her and comforted her with his gestures as she had cried in his arms. His experience from his past life had allowed him to do this.

"Thank you Kaname-sama," she whispered faintly to him, her voice still hoarse from all the crying it did.

"You're welcome."

"I have a question though."She moved away from his chest and looked him straight in the eye."Was the reason I killed that woman because of your spell?"

"Yes," he answered truthfully. The reason she had allowed magecraft to be done to her wasn't because she knew what the spell was but she had fully trusted him. He had used that trust to make her do something horrendous. But if he went back in time he would still make that same decision.

"I see." She looked away from him to the floor.

"Are you mad? I guess-"

"No."

"Huh?" Taken aback by her statement his mouth gaped at her answer.

"Why aren't you mad I made you kill her?"

"I do dislike what you did to me but," she looked at him."If you didn't do that right now we wouldn't be here."

That was a fact but she did admit she disliked what he did.

"That's true but you dislike me now huh,"he ruffled his hair as he had her answer."if you want you can leave your position I won't say anything."

"I'll stay."

This time he wasn't as surprised about her decision, he had expected it may happen but the probability of it wasn't high.

"I enjoy staying with you. I just said the action I disliked." She softly smiled at him and looked into his eyes with a warm look.

"I see but.."

"But?" She tilted her head with a confused look.

"This would be a very emotional scene in a story if you didn't have snot all over your face." A small smirk came as he looked at her face.

Her face flushed with red and she had wiped the snot off her nose quickly before throwing her pillow at him.

"Just accept my kindness, fuck you!" She called out with anger.

He simply laughed off her action. The heavy mood was gone as she had thrown her pillow and blanket at him but of course the scar on her mind will never disappear. They started to fight like the bunch of kids they were and ran around the house, the servants looked at them and smiled. Butt unfortunately they didn't have a normal life.

And this fleeting moment of happiness will become a fond memory for him to look back on.

A/N: This chapter didn't suit the tone of the previous one and I realised I shouldn't try stuff it in one chapter. Mina breakdown was something that I actually tried to research, She's still a young naive girl and even if she is a oc I wanted to write it in a good way. I want to go into why Mina forgave him but this chapter is just not the right one though there is a reason.
