15 Festival Begins
As me and Finn arrived back at the tavern and dropped off the remaining deer, he said his goodbyes allowing me to return to Rose, who was still sat at the bar with a smile on her face.
"Sorry for making you wait. The bar's getting quite busy, what do you want to do. " I stared around the room.
"I'm fine here, the bar is quite cozy after all. Maybe we can head out and participate in some of the street festivities later. " She courtly replied staring into her drink.
Hearing her I went to the nearby stool and sat next to her. To which Kate brought out a cup filled with beer already.
"You won't need to pay lad, its on me tonight. " Kate spoke with a smile as she stared at the two of us with a smile.
" Thanks, it's much appreciated. " Grabbing the cup, I took sips of it.
" Alek, why do you always stare around you especially now? " I heard Rose speak as she stared into her cup, " Are you perhaps interested in someone else other than me. "
" Of course not Rose, I just saw someone of importance. The Starks, i'm sure you should have seen them. " Rose hearing me raised her head.
" Aye, came to visit for the theatre as well as the festival. As a way to relax apparently, I have quite the distaste to them. However they have protected this land for centuries. They deserve a high amount of respect. "
" Aye, the mighty wolves of the north. " I sarcastically replied with a cheeky grin on my face.
" Shut it you, the Starks said they will hang around here for a bit. Maybe you can talk to them, try and get in their good graces. "
Hearing her, I almost choked. " We're northerners we don't act flowery to others unlike those fake bastards down south. "
Kate released a sigh while Rose continued sipping a drink. " You need to listen, If you want a good job like your father, then you must prove your skills. Get in a brawl or something. I'll have someone start a fight on you if you must. However, remember you must be honourable. "
" The Starks are to honourable for there own sake. That will bite them in the back one day. "
" Aye, it will but when that comes we should be able to defend ourselves from other invaders. "
Hearing her I scoffed, ' Defend against other invaders, Daenarys will be coming in a few years, this continents breaks into all out war and the Ice walkers start attacking. I wished I finished that damn show. '
The door of the tavern were suddenly opened causing a loud bang and the Stark sigil appeared, 7 guards and 5 people. What a fucking joke, I can't be assed getting involved with the story line this early on but I guess i'll have to with Katelyn smiling like a fucking psycho that set up for someone to get killed.
I felt a sudden fist hit my jaw sending me to the ground, causing Rose to gasp and Kate to laugh. That fucking bitch set this up, gritting my teeth I stood up and spit on the floor rubbing my mouth with my knuckle, I got into a Muay Thai stance. Staring a head of me I saw the bastard that took Kates offer. It was Hendrik, I'll make sure this cunt can't hunt for 5 days minimum. After a few seconds of the standoff he charged, head lowered. Seeing this I grinned and did a knee kick, as the knee flew through the air I didn't feel it connect but felt a sudden bolt of pain in my abdomen.
Looking down, I saw Hendrik gripping tight with a bloodthirsty grin. ' This Bastard is trying to take me to the ground. Not happening. ' Grabbing him by the neck I placed him in a headlock between my waist.
Sending a knee towards his body, it landed causing a loud thud making me decide to send multiple more. The man released a more pained groan this time, smiling a overhand came out of nowhere sending me stumbling. Another bastard stepped forward, " Hendrik, why don't you back off. I'll take this grizzly cunt. "
Hendrik suddenly backed off panting and coughing. I advanced, bobbing my head every now and then. Sending a jab and a right hook, following it up with kick to the inside leg. Causing his leg to open wide, allowing me to send a overhand to his unguarded jaw. The punch connected, causing a loud cracking sound to be heard and caused the man stumble before collapsing with a loud bang and convulsed, shivering and foaming at the mouth, seeing this people instantly approached him and took him away to a doctor. Tiredly panting, I stared around just incase someone got the smart idea of sending a hit to me randomly. A sudden loud uproar of cheers were heard from the bar goers and the Starks and their dogs were still surprisingly quiet with a few observing with stars in their faces. That being Arya and surprisingly the young John Snow. The rest looked with indifference or shock in their face at the gruesome display
'Bastard won't make it, I made sure to send a blow strong enough to break someone's jaw. That's what the bastard get's for jumping me. ' I wiped my mouth, before heading to the stool next to Rose.
" You better be giving me free beers for the rest of my time coming hear, I wasn't ready to get attacked out of nowhere. "
"That was the surprise, it made it realistic after all people won't tell you when you'll get attacked whether it be a tavern or a forest. You must always be prepar... " Kate suddenly stopped as a voice interrupted her.
" Oy bargirl, we need service over here. " It was a Stark guard as I stared in the direction Kate went.
My ears flicked, " Whats the name of that person, that smashed the lads jaw. " I heard a voice in my ear, It was Eddard Stark but he was on the other side of the room. That meant two things, I'm hallucinating voices or I've achieved a new ability. And I'm more inclined to believe it is a new ability. I hope it is.
" His name is Aleksi Grosvenor, Son of a hunter my Lord. " hearing her my eyes widened
' My last name is Grosvenor? I thought we didn't have one. I can't believe it took me this long to find out, If I don't even know my last name then what else could I be missing.
" Father, can we please recruit him, He could train us. He looks strong after all. " I heard a younger voice speak, It had a voice similar to that of Arya but I was unsure.
" I doubt the boy wishes to be recruited. He still looks young, maybe whenever we come here. You can be trained by the lad. Would that be okay, Bar maid. " Eddard's hardy voice spoke again
" I'll have to ask him myself, he may agree however he is usually busy hunting big game. " Kate turned towards us as the words left her mouth and the voices became whispers once again. Bringing confusion to my face, I'll have to do some tests on it.
I heard murmurs before someone broke in again, " The Festival Is Starting! " Before running back out.
